I know right!?!

My last one was bigger then half the bushes in my yard! Err "ornamental" bushes that is.

But low and behold I'm stuck smoking swag.....:surrender:

Man that stuff goes quick. I wish I thought ahead, but I just got caught in a really wonderful Sativa head hazedaze / hash-binge and lost all track of time an all those other supposedly important things.. like work, and such. Good thing i can't fire myself or I'd be broke

So It needs to be done. Cuz I know how quick that stuff in the woods is gonna go, and I need to get on track and start lookin towards my future :grinjoint:
 
I know what you mean! It's a race to make the 7-8 o's I get to last till the next harvest. By the time I give away to some med patients and use it for family consumption I'm usually down to my last O. That's one of the big reasons why I set up the seperate veg room! Well that and it's just so much fun to grow shit! I'm hoping that the 6 I am growing now will provide a buffer.

I see my general problem as having too many smoking devices. LOL! 4 glass pipes, a 419 pipe, a one hitter, a nice new bong, and a vapir 5.0. I'm a sponsor's dream!
 
And good to see all the familiar faces still, I always get a little worried when I don't get on for too long.
I'm a lucky guy and work has been real good to me lately. I'm a big fan of karma and I was starting to feel a little run down and beaten the last couple months. Like i was constantly running uphill behind the crowd and getting rocks kicked down on me. Couldn't seem to catch a break. I had a decent spring, very busy in bursts and then things got slow and drawn out. Not dead but just slow enough that I had to drag out jobs to the point where I was just covering my costs and keeping my truck and mortgage going.
Then two weeks ago I caught a real break. The Supervisor who lied about me at my old job because he was jealous and nervous I was going to take his job set me up and stabbed me in the back. I got stuck paying for a bunch of classes and licenses that I couldn't even get (even though I passed the tests) because they wouldn't insure me anymore. And they won't mail you State Certifications if your uninsured. Then they laid me off. Then he told our boss that he saw me smoking on the job (even though I HAVE NEVER smoked at a job working for that company, he just knew I smoked) and demanded a hair follicle test. I told him no way, then i quit. He told our Boss I tore it up in his face. Basically did everything he could to make me look bad.

ANYWAYS ~ So the plant health care/pesticide company that did all this work for this giant company I had worked for started screwing them. Upwards of $75,000 more then they should be charging or so. Just raising prices and giving my old supervisor the kickback of 15% I found out about it, told our old boss what was going on and he fired the company and warned my old supervisor that he was on thin ice, MADE HIM get his pesticide license and do all the lawn care/ pesticide stuff for all 68 accounts. He's an idiot. He lost 12 accounts because he was doing everything wrong and the yards were looking like crap so I called the old boss, took some pictures, explained the red thread, dollar spot, over fert stripes, how all the lawns needed to be cut higher and watered more and within two weeks of taking my advice they started to come back. We're talking about 44,000 sq foot lawns on the average DYING because of fungus problems and such. That can make a very large landscaping company go bankrupt. So, he gave them too me.
And warned the supervisor if he loses one more job he's all done. Even though he tried so hard to hurt me, I've already saved his job twice this week. Tell me there's no such thing as karma :)

I'm not going to say exactly how much this contract was for, but lets jut say it's like hitting the lottery.... I'm a very lucky person.

Rose and MC you've done so much for so many... I'm sure you've got a whole lot of good fortune in your future my Good Friends!
 
So.. Man I've just felt so happy today since deciding to start up again. I've been waiting on the town (which had to put in a new water meter about ten ft from my rooms) and they came and went today, my furnace was inspected last month, so I'm all set. What a rush!

I already have a couple questions about the DWC setup. How hard would it be to add the irrigation hub up to drip on the plants like Deep Water Culture? Just for the first weeks as seedlings. That way I wouldn't have to babysit them all day long....
Great idea, and it surely will make the first 3 or 4 weeks grow faster and taller faster. Hubs can be found at Lowes, amazon.com and of course, Stealth Hydro.
At Lowes, the brand name is MISTER LANDSCAPER. It is in the DRIP IRRIGATION section (even says "drip irrigation" on the package), the technical name for it is PVC SPRINKLER ADAPTER (that is on the package too), the item# is 191779, and the model# is MLA-RA9, and the cost is $10.73. My local Lowes had about 9-10 of them in stock.

Can I use a panty hose on the pump housing so I don't have to deal with dead debris screwing up my ph?

Will silicone mess with the PPM or PH of the water if I use it to seal the drain kit attachment? Or do I have to use the plumbers teflon tape?

Both are fine!

Will I need to supply some air pumps for the aerators? I have a pump that was rated for a 40 gallon fishtank, and it works really well. Again, works great!
Last but not least, can I use the water testing kit that I have for my fishtank for some of the testings? It was a pretty pricey kit, and my boys killed all the fish, so I was wondering if any of the stuff I got for it will work with the hydro. For instance, the ph tester, and the kit I have tests for nitrates, nitrites, etc etc. I also have PH up and PH down, for the fishtank too. Can I use those?

I do both, and either depending on what I am out of at the time. I ahve two 55 gallon tanks. They all work great for Hydro and for Aquariums.

Now, I just need a few more things for this grow, and really it is just a few more things. Mylar for the grow area, a couple of fans for cooling. I was fortunate that some unexpected but welcomed cash came in. So I decided to invest the money on my own hydro setup.

I know Indica is easier for pain and hydro. My hubby has CP, and can use the Sativa strains for his muscle spastisity if I do get some of those strains. If I do get a sativa, I plan on putting it in soil to grow and sticking with Indica Only in the DWC.

So it wouldn't be difficult to convert the DWC box into a Deep Water Culture system? I may have more questions if and when I do decide to do this on how to set it up.

So the panty hose will work. Good I have TONS of them with runs... :)

Does the Stealth Hydro system come with air pumps for the airstones or is that something I have to provide? I do have a couple, so it's not an issue, I just want to know whether I have to add anything else to their kit.

I'm glad my fish tank supplies can work for the DWC. That testing kit was expensive!!! I'm also glad that I can use the ph up and down for hydro.

Yea, I figured investing into something to grow instead of something that will go up in flames would be a better investment of my cash :) Plus the way that Colorado has their MMJ laws set up, communities can outlaw dispensaries. My rights as a patient are protected under the Colorado Constitution, but dispensaries are getting shut down over the new laws.

It is the Sativa type of plant that is much taller.
But this is a good move in using bag seeds in learning about the plant.
I did this also with soil and learned a lot before I jump in to the bubbles grow.
I still have some of them outside. I really don't check on them to much
because it is more of a stealth grow.

Yea, I figure by practicing with bagseed, if I kill the plants, I won't be as upset if I used seeds that I didn't pay for.

My hubby has Cerebral Palsy, and the sativa strains are good for his muscle spastisity. I already know they have a longer flowering season, and that it is difficult to tell when they are ready because they have set conditions for harvest. If you miss the window, you lose the potency...
 
i'm so excited, after 11 tries i have 1 male plant(damn females lol)... few more days and i'll be collecting pollen. it's a grand daddy purple/trainwreck hybrid and i'll cross him back with my grand daddy purple female . i'm so excited lol. all indoors is harvested and some of the outdoors, all but last 2 indoor gdp is in jars.

Jonny, sometimes things just line up! It's having the patience and the trust that it is, in fact, coming that is the hard part!

GD, I did my first two grows with bagseed. Fought the good fight with the males and then realized that fem seeds are about $10 each and were worth it if I wanted to grow as many females as possible.

I figure I can practice as much as I want with the bagseed. If I kill it, it won't be as upsetting to me then if I paid for femd seeds. Once I feel like I have enough experience with the DWC, and Bubbles, I can order the seeds from a sponsor.

I have a hermi, and a female right now. With my new grow, I plan on cloning my females, and keep a good momma in veg, while I flower the clones... I'm also going to experiment with topping. I did NOTHING, to my current crop. No topping, no fimming, no LST. Because I wanted to see if I could do it. Now that I know I can, I plan on doing more with my plants.

Thanks MC, I want to do a little breeding and have a bag of seeds in reserve just in case. Plus i'm quite the gorilla grower and love to plant seeds in places they should not be in lol.
