Now everytime when I smoke I look to see what the ashes color is, but taste is a dead give away, It was suggested to me to use clearex every once an awhile through out the grow, suppose to clear out salt build up in the plants and help with their over all growth and used as a flush at the finish.

What are your thoughts? or anyone else's in this matter?

I flush with Clearex when I change from veg to flower and them I use it
to flush along with SM-90. I only have 3 hydro grows completed but I didnt flush my first one and it was much harsher than the other 2 grows. However, I'm not a cig. smoker so maybe I'm more sensitive to a harsher smoke.

I use a hole saw, just be sure to put a piece of wood behind to support your cut. So, lay down a 2x6 say, place the lid on the 2x, then use the hole saw to make the cut.
 
I don't have a hole saw so I just traced the net pot on the lid than cut with a razor knife about 3/16ths inside the line perfect fit !! But a hole saw works much easier and neater !! :peace:
 
Hey guys/gals, I used the paper towel method for some seeds I got so i can start my grow. I figured 3- 4 days to get them to pop, not this time! They popped in just one day! I am planning on putting them in tonight if i can, tomorrow morning at the latest, but if the root is long, how should I put it into the rockwool cube? Should i use something to make a long hole for it to go in, and leave the seed part just on the top of the cube?
Man those things jumped out fast! Last night they had popped, this morning, the root was already 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. Crazy! Thanks

Split the rock wool cube in half and place the seed in the middle. And yes, do it as soon as you can!
 
Hey rolledup, I always stick something in my R/W cubes and open up the hole a little, then just drop em in. But it can be tricky to keep the root safe that way, if you're nervous, I would go with FPF's method, just make sure the net pot holds the split cube together well enough. =)
 
Thanks as I have voted against it. So I will take your advice. The male is out there but that's not a prob as he had to get out of the room anyway. Thanks again. The remaining 5 remain inside.

That's what I was originally thinking. I think I'll try both methods, but we'll have to see what they look like when I get home. At the rate they're going, i'm thinking they'll have a 1" root going in the next few hours. Man I'm a bit worried now. I'm going to try to get home soon. Let's see what I can do...

Congrats man, it changes your whole outlook on weed and procuring it. I love the fact that I can stop on the way home, pick up a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine, and a 1/4 oz of pot. It's a completely different perspective!

I've seen seeds pushed up and out of the cube by the root trying to get through the rockwool. I'd like to see you experiment and tell us which one works best. I do have to admit though, I'm using clones now and haven't done a seed in a while.
