I have a question I believe you can answer. I have 6 going (well one is a HE and gonna get removed but)I set up an extra tote outback, pump and all so I can take turns taking 2 each day and letting them get 5 to 5 1/2 hours of nice sunlight. Is this a good idea? Bad idea? The tote out back will be strictly water or should it have SOME nutes. Just seeing what the opinions on this are. My thinking is a little more natural light and while each one is outside I can rinse and clean the totes easier. Thx can't wait to see feedbacks.

Bugs could definitely be an issue.

BUT !!! us humans have been farming and growing in the outdoors for some time now. Bugs are always outside, and can always give you some extra work.

When growing from clone a lot of times you usually harden them off before they go outside full time. Start with 4 hours outdoors, then move them all back inside, set the lights back up. Do this for a couple weeks until they are "ready" for the great outdoors. It may bring bugs into my grow room, but I am only using it for these outdoor plants and SOIL. Once everything is outside, I clean up and spray bug killer all over the room. But I don't use the room I have for my hydro DWC setup. It could be done, as long as you don't have a seperate indoor grow going at the time. Wouldn't want to bring bugs into a clean room and infect. But if all plants are going outside...

That being said, I don't understand why. I wouldn't want to move any hydro setup outside. Hydro really should be in a clean environment, and outdoors simply isn't. Also, I don't see any gains. We are talking about a ton of work. Possible bug infestation, and tons of work! lol All for what? So the plants get some sun? Cannabis really does fine under proper artificial light and I just wouldn't worry about it. Think it'll cause way more headaches then provide any benefits.

Hope I didn't ramble too much for ya! :ganjamon:

I buy my 10 gallon sterlilite totes at Wally World for $3 a piece!! I would check there first.

This is my 3rd grow in the SH tote I'm using so I'm thinking about making another one to replace this one. It';s getting kind of worn. You know what I should use to mark and cut the holes perfectly round?
thx HGH
