Nice colas is that bloody skunk auto? And I don't know what other strain but dam nice colas I run 315 Lec and a 1000w hps and love the results
 
My first grow I had 2 purple kush hermaphrodites I didnt notice until harvest. They pollinated everything including Nugz, a rather large & aggressive white cookies that wanted to take over my whole tent. The bud had some seeds but the smoke was still good. 3 of the 4 plants in my tent were grown from those seeds. I have been calling them purple cookies. Its not hard to tell which ones came from Nugz. Each of the 3 buds in the pic are a combination of white cookies & purple kush but they seem to mix differntly each time.

I'd have them significantly closer if using them by themselves. As part of a larger lighting setup, IDK but still significantly closer, lol. I wouldn't think 5" above the canopy would cause any damage, assuming adequate airflow. Actually, I'm guessing that you'll run into issues with them shading the illumination from other, (presumably) more powerful lights that are set at a higher level way before you'd experience bleaching or heat-related issues caused by getting 150-watt HPS bulbs too close to the plants.

In years past, when I ran multiple 400-watt HIDs, I had the tops of plants grow right up to the fixtures a time or... two. These were air-cooled fixtures, so by that I mean I went in to do garden maintenance and saw the tops of plants touching the glass - but I did not always have fans/ducting connected to those fixtures, so the glass did tend to get a bit warm. That was probably a little much and may have stunted the growth rates slightly (and caused the buds to be a bit airy), but the primary result was being able to smell the grow from a little farther down the driveway, lol. (I miss living on the other side of BFE, where nine out of the last ten visitors were wild animals instead of people...)
 
Hey all I'm new around here but you can check out my journal in my sig, I just hope I can do half of what you all do. But this group has me confident that my little 4x4 can keep me out of the dispensaries for good.

Gimik, did you get your deficiency figured out and under control?

CornfieldGro, have you raised the roof to accommodate your long legged ladies or just made your house a convertible as well? BTW, I strongly suspect that your plants have zea mays genetics.

Man I've been so consumed with work and midterms I haven't been active on the forums at all the last few weeks. I've been dealing with various problems the last week and a half.... So for the deficiency I was experiencing got handled but I swung it too far the other way and got nute burn. All the tips of the leaves are whitish/yellow.

Also apparently the plants were still stretching a bit because the plants directly under the LED panel got severe light stress/damage and basically the tops of all the colas underneath it got bleached white. I didn't even know this was a thing until I opened the tent and saw all the tips looked like they were covered in snow or something. So I had to cut all the white off the nugs, luckily there is still another month or so of flower so hopefully they grow back a bit. Not only that but all the leaves suffered light stress and curled inward like a claw and are super yellow. I raised the LED a few inches (was at 18", now at 22") so I don't think the problem will get any worse. It don't think heat is an issue because the tent sits around 75-77. The good thing is that its only the plants directly under the LED that are showing these symptoms, all the other parts of the plants are looking super healthy.

Aside from that things are looking really good. The canopy is completely filled out with colas and they are so dense and the terpines are incredible. Great aroma and when I touch them my fingers stick together haha

Sweet setup, what cobs are you using there? Love the COB QB combo, I'm sure it kicks ass!

You guys! Would it kill ya to delete the photos, like all ten in the previous post, when you're quoting someone? Unless you're referencing a particular photo... don't include it in your post!
