ThatOneGuyy's First Lemon Skunk Indoor Grow

Based on color of pistils, I think you have at least 2 weeks left on these. They look fantastic. Great job!

Have you taken a sample bud and quick dried it yet?

your plants suck and are ugly and probable smell like shit.
JK! fucking love your massive ass buds! all those pistils, i would sing to them! they are gonna sing to you one day :D Perfect bro

Oh they smell alright! Smell like success! haha! well that and lemons with a hint of pine.

Thanks man! I am gonna take the best of the best cola and make a personal smoke stash. I'm way too excited for this.:yahoo:

plus rep for the pics bro.....JEALOUS

:Namaste:

Thanks for the reps buddy! I am glad you enjoy my pics. Not long now till I have some pics of an upside-down forest to show everyone.:Namaste:

Wow #1 looks about 6 - 7 weeks in very impressed ... This is a 55 - 65 day strain right?

They realy do look tasty bro your doing an awsome job :goodjob:

I know! I am amazed how fast she matured. I am glad I saved a clone of her. I wanna get her into being a mother, as long as the smoke is good! It is a 42-56 Day Flower time, So generally short compared to other strains. I will most likely run #2 closer to the latter than former cause she just isn't as far along as #1 but none-the-less, looking amazing.

They are both swelling and I am going into the Monster Bloom phase of the BPN products and I will be there for the next 2-4 weeks. I also upped my molasses feed day to 2tsp/Gal of water and they are loving it.

I will wait at least two weeks before I quick dry a bud. I don't wanna take a little popcorn bud cause I honestly think I am going to half harvest anyways so I will let those stay on to see if I can get some more weight on them.

I am also a bit nervous to take a sample cause I feel like I would hinder my plant in the long run. This is still my first ever harvest and I am still a bit hesitant to do things like that. I am still like watching videos on harvesting and trimming and it is all fairly new to me. We will see if Bite the bullet and take some samples of both to see how they smoke. I will most likely quick dry naturally instead of doing the oven tech or whatnot. I will just place them on my ballast and set for a few days. My ballast doesn't get too hot cause I air cool it with a fan. Helps with restrike issues and excess watt pulling so it works.

I have poor electrical throughout my house and with the energy I pull, sometimes the power goes out. :lot-o-toke:

sweet grow man! interested to see what the dryd buds look like:thumb: i think you will get a decent yield thers some decent sized colas right there :high-five:

First off, Welcome to :420: and :welcome: to my journal. You are just in time, a few more weeks and I will have a plentiful harvest on my hands. I think it will be quite a harvest as well. The bud to leaf ratio is in favor of flower so I wont have much trimming to do but I'm sure there is still work to be done.

Sit back, relax and pack a bowl bro! :tokin:

Mini Update: So yesterday I got my microscope and scale in. Thought I'd show that off. My collection of tools of the trade is growing. A few other things to come are TDS and Ph meters and some other stuff I don't remember right now. Anyways, here's what I got.

Nice scope you got there bro i got a jewlers loop good for checking for pests not so good for checking tricomes.. that thing will give you perfect vision on what colour they are!
Can you take a pic through it?

I have a jar of molasses but never used it how do you rate it ?

Have never grown before this, I can't say it helps or if I see a difference. I am getting a swell from the plant starting this week and it is getting bigger with lots of trichomes but I don't much have a comparison.

One thing I can say is that it isn't hurting the plant. There is no ill effect and plenty of people use it so I would say it helps.

It isn't helping the smell though, my girls are extra skunky today which I have to say is a bit overwhelming. I really need to invest in a carbon scrubber to pull some of the air out of my room and allow fresh air to cycle. Since I have no ventilation ports(yet) The smell cycles into my room which I use a box fan in the window to draw air in and passively push it out through my house amd out my other window. Works well for the temps but not so much for the smell.

I can't take photos through it. I plan on investing in a USB microscope to take closeup trichome shots with but that is in the future.

Can you smell your crop outside your house?

Scrubbers can be very expensive getting a few ona gels are a fairly cheap and effective way of getting rid of it. Yeah i see them they are about £30 here insane zoom on them i would get one but iv just spent out to much doe on a RO system cant be doing with buying mineral water from the shops any more spent a fortune and its starting to get hard work every week .

I just came up on some cash and I have some things that I need to take care of before I do anything. I have to redo all the screen in my house and that is going to take up a bit of my time. They are solar screens so they block out from the outside. So extra privacy is nice since my room is facing a main street...

After that I was going to looking into the Ona Gel but I need to know how long they last is my question. I don't wanna drop 30 bucks for something that will only last a month.

TOG, you probably will not need to use all the ONA gel at once. I find a few tablespoons at-a-time to work well for me in a small room with only a couple of plants. I would expect you'd be using more. But, once you take it out of the jar and leave it exposed to air, it only lasts a couple/few weeks. If you're putting it in an "ona bucket" (with a fan and blowing air directly on it), it probably won't even last that long. It's worth having some on hand, IMHO, but I would not rely on ONA for odor elimination.

I plan on getting a ventilation system eventually with a 6" can filter/ fan and a Vented hood and 600w ballast but that is ways away. I will most likely pick up some Ona gel just for the "Just in case" moments cause sometimes I just don't want to smell my girls.

I used Ona block linen fresh... ahhhh. Lol i wasnt to impressed of the smell i prefer the smell of skunk wofting around but thats no good if you have visitors. I does get rid of the smell tho! the block i used for 9 weeks and still have half left i drilled holes in the top and connected a small chipset fan exhanusting got rid of the smell well.

I have read that the gels are better and from what people say last a few months but iv never used them.

any estimates or hopes yield wise? leaf to bud ratio looks very good dsnt it!! its not all about trimming its a right pain in the ass but you should be ok and first harvest is always fun to trim :) i cant believe this is ur first grow man very nice :bravo: my first grow suckd dick haha

where did u get ur scop from, local shop or online? i see one on growell.co.uk that im guna have to get so far iv been going from days into flowerin and hairs receding, would be nice to get a scope just to be sure tho. keep it up man harvest soooooon :tokin::popcorn:RoorRip:party:

Very nice on the new equipments. I also have the very same microscope model you got there and it takes some time to get used to. I think you'll enjoy the USB microscope more. It has position locking so you can just zoom and get clarity on the trichome colors. Seeing the trichomes on the monitor vs through one eye helps greatly.

Congratulations :high-five: on the new equipment. I have the same microscope, and it works great, just takes a little time to get used to. The plant's look great, when are you planing on chopping them down?

Also I have a question, when did you began to flush?? Since I'm at day 56 of flower, and the trichomes are still 50% clear and 50% cloudy. I'm waiting for the amber ones I'm guessing ill have to wait up till day 70-75. When should I stop feeding her and just start molasses and when do I start to flush?? Thanks :Namaste:

Ona jell masks the smell but creates a substantial smell of its own that begs the question... Why is it being used in this room?

I use some Ona Jell in hidden spot and keep a fairly good size scented candle in plain view. A lighting of the candle mitigates the Ona smell. I have had people in my studio while the flower cabinet was lit and very stinky. I have a couple candles out to light up before the guests come. I don't keep them burning for long... just enough to mix the the with the Ona.

So I should just scoop out a little at a time? I really just need to mask it sometimes on days like my feed days(Tuesday/Wednesday) because I use the organic BPN line it makes my room smell like poo for a day until it dries out a bit. Thanks for the tip.:thumb:

Yield wise, I have no idea. I am guessing anywhere from 2-4 oz dry each. the buds are dense as hell! I think I will have fun trimming for sure. I dunno what I am going to do with the trim though. Pending on how much I have I will either make some full melt hash or some cannabutter.

I just picked the microscope on amazon for like 12 bucks. It works and its nice.

Yeah I noticed that when I first got it . It took a bit to steady it and adjust it but once i messed around with it for a bit, it was easy. The USB microscope will be a little bit later. Maybe next grow or something.

My girls will be chopped in the next 2-4 weeks pending on how they look. I will most likely chop #1 first because she matured really early. I flushed about 2 weeks ago to get my soil ready to take in new nutrients. I started my girls on the BPN Farmer's Pride Line so they wouldn't have an issue with my old nutrients. You can start molasses at any time during flower. It just helps giving the plants some carbs. You can boost molasses at the last week and saturate the soil, flush three days after that and let dry for a week. They will be ready for harvest by then. :thumb:

Yeah that's what i wanted to know. I don't wanna trade one headache for another. The candle thing seems like a good idea and I will most likely do that. I have a air purifier but on feed days it just doesn't cut it. So I think I will do the couple tsp of Ona in a cup + Candle and I think that will keep the scent down. Thanks for the tip my friend!:Namaste:

I could not be around buds looking like those without tasting...Good Grow TOG...:thumb:

Hah! I am getting very impatient indeed! I just wanna wait cause I want the best I can get. I was really temped of taking one of the lower Branches off in the next week and hang it up to dry for a little for a test smoke but we will see.:thumb:

TOG, my mouth is watering! They look so yummy! I think you have anywhere from 14 - 20 days left in them. Looks like they still have a little bit to tighten up more too. They look awesome though man! Gonna be a serious party at your place soon!

Wow tog those lemon skunks look amazing. Im going to look into some of those and PRAY mine look half as good as yours turned out. Great job man thats something to be proud about

Thanks man! :Namaste: They are looking pretty good and I am totally proud. They are so nice and It will be a happy and sad day when I have to chop.

good to see you on my journal. :welcome: and sit back and enjoy I have a little bit of time before I have to chop.

That was my estimate. Former for #1 and the latter for #2. #2 is still young and is barely working on using up the energy in her leaves.

#1 is maturing fast and she is changing colors now. so two more weeks to swell and put on some weight and I will be fine.

Everyone is welcome for the taste test!:high-five:

Mini Update: So I am noticing the difference in my plants and #1 is very sensitive to temp changes. #1 is is turning purple whereas #2 isn't. Temps at night range from 65-68 degrees at the lowest. Oh well some color doesn't hurt.

If you look at the pic you can see all the buds just getting crazy frosty in the back.
