ThatOneGuyy's First Lemon Skunk Indoor Grow

Now that the flush is complete for a few days, how did it go? How much water did you use per plant and what was the Ph/ppm of the water?

I am curious as my flush did not go as well as I would have liked.

A few days after my flush, my plants are as strong as ever. #1 is continuing to use of the energy in the fan leaves but that's natural. I think #2 is finally picking up mass trichome production after the flush. What I did was simple really, It didn't take much thought. I flushed with about 10Gal of water per and I let drain in my shower for about 30 min each. I caught some runoff and tested the Ph of it. After the 30 min dry period I flushed with purified Ph adjusted water and let sit for another 20 min. Each plant took about an hour to do but it was well worth it. The soil is now primed and ready for my BPN products.

Mini Update: So three days after my flush I was finally ready to get back onto my routine. I reworked my watering schedule so I can water my veg plants and flower plants on seperate days, especially on feed days. If i feed both and update the same day on Tuesdays, I end up spending like 14 hours feeding, Editing and posting and that is a bit too much for me.

So I fed today with a 1 1/2tsp per Gal of molasses and each girl got a healthy 1gal of it. The smaller flowering clones got 700ml each. The next couple weeks are gonna be very crazy indeed. #1 is swelling again and smells pretty much similar to pine-sol. #2 is looking amazing and the single top cola is nice and thick. its about 1 1/2' of pure bud. Both are very dense and looking amazing.

That's all I got for now.

Edit: I JUST got my hepa filter and I am loving it. It keeps the dust out of my room and the smell at bay. Very well worth investment.

Mini Update: So now I am on day28 of flower on my main girls and a few days ago, my clones started showing pistils so they have been in flower for 3days.

The Lemon Skunk clones are looking healthy and still stretching. I am hoping for at least 12-14" but I think I might get something less. The tallest ones are pushing a little over 7" and the two smaller are almost 7" tall. Not much to report on the other girls so I will just post some pics so you guys can see what I'm working with.

For 4 weeks those look really good. They are going to be huge colas when all is done. Fantastic!

subbed to this one.

Thanks for stopping in! I still have a month or so and I will finish up with your products. :MoreNutes: If I wanna grow the best I need the best and with all the journals going around, it is proving itself in the results.:thumb:

I am very surprised how they look. I am on the beginning of week5 now and things are looking great. I think I have until the end of November or maybe a little longer before I get my harvest on.

I've read on several occasions that the buds put on most of their weight the last 2-3 weeks of life and if that's the case, I will be getting some fat buds from these. They are already really thick and dense so I can't even imagine how much bigger they are gonna get.:circle-of-love:

That one guy, your plants look great! That Lemon Skunk is ridiculous for only week 4. I can't believe the size and maturity of the buds on that plant for only 4 weeks. +Reps man, just awesome. :bravo:

:thankyou: I'm glad that everyone is enjoying this as much as I am. Good to see ya on my thread and Thanks!! for the Rep!:Namaste:

I'm excited for that! They are pretty big already. Not soda can thick but it is getting there! My clones have a long way to go but they should fill in nicely as well.

Mini Update: #1 is getting super frosty! Every time I look at it I am amazed how much more trichome coverage it has. Even if you handle the plant just a little, your fingers start to smell so strong. Its not too skunky though, Its more like pine-sol. Has that lemony fresh smell.

#2 is also packing on some weight. Not as mature as #1 but its okay. It has been behind this whole time and it still has plenty of time to catch up. I snapped a few closeups of #2 since most of the closeups have been only #1 so here they are.

I'm also getting a microscope soon delivered to me and I will be building my Aero cloner next week. I have a lot of plans coming up so I will pretty much have my hands full over the next week. That's all for now

The first two pics in your last post are Windows 7 background material. (Nothing wrong with the 3rd pic either)

Wonderfully composed pics!

Colas look good...easy to trim:goodjob:
Thanks man! They all look really good on both ladies. I'm sure they have gotten bigger since last weeks Pic update. Tuesday's coming so I will have some comparison shots up.:thumb:

Wow very nice gunna be so dense!

You should feel them already! I feel them once in awhile(yes I know it messes up trichomes) and I can't help it! They are so dense and yummy and don't get me started on the smell. I will sit there and smell my fingers for awhile just cause it smells so so good.

Sad part is, It isn't even ready to test harvest. I have another few weeks before even sampling a little piece.

You are way too generous with your compliments my friend! :thankyou: I am glad you enjoy my photos. When I first started taking pics for this journal, I was so jealous of all the nice shots I needed a new camera. So I ended up with a hand-me-down P&S that has been doing the job.

It was this site and the people of this community that have pushed me to be the best I can be and I have to say thanks to everyone. :Namaste:

LOL i know what you mean there 1970sG!!!

I have some of my best snaps up as my desktop background with changing pictures after every 30 minutes!!!

:peacetwo:

Thanks astonr! I'm glad you guys agree. I was thinking about doing that but I have vista and they don't have wallpaper cycles -sigh-

All the compliments drive me to do better every time! So thank you guys for all the support.:thankyou:

Just pulled the trigger on a couple of these from the Attitude. Was just wondering how was the smell of those girls? Since they are skunk are you using anything for odor control?

From what I know of Skunks, Lemon Skunk is on the subtle side when it comes to scent. It has a very fresh scent but don't underestimate that! It is pretty strong and I don't have anything to remove the scent for the most part. I use febreze to mask it and I vent my room all the time. I also a Hepa filter and that kinda helps a bit. I will invest in a carbon filter/Inline fan combo when I upgrade my grow light. The one i plan on getting is a 600w with a vented hood so a carbon filter will be useful. If you have money for a carbon filter I suggest investing in one.

Mini Update: So I decided to make a trip to Home Depot to look at light fixtures to set up a grow room in my friends house and ended up picking up some things for my cloner. The hydro shop was closed today so I have to wait till Tuesday to finish it up but I got the frame set up and ready.

It will be a 35site cloner when I am finished. I will be using net pots and neoprene Inserts. So far I am about 13 dollars in so I think I came out pretty good.

awesome bro! i love aero cloners!

Your cloner is great, your plants are awesome, I'm completely jealous, And, I'm now subbed! :thumb:
I'm glad you decided to Join. I have some time left for this journal so just waiting for harvest and it is driving me crazy. Sit back and enjoy the grow, buddy!:thumb:

awesome bro! i love aero cloners!

hah! Thanks man! Yeah, I also love them. I knew when I first seen it that I could build one instead of spending a ton of money on a premade one. Once I finish it I will be happy cause in a few weeks, I am going to be cloning and flowering the cuttings to sort through the males.

YEA BUDDY!!! be makin babies in no time!!!

:peacetwo:

Definitely! I was excited to start building it. I have a few more projects and I am just doing a rough estimate on how much I need to spend.

Mini Update: Well, my clones are slightly slowing down but still stretching. The tallest is 9" and the shortest is slightly over 6". If the smallest of the four can make it to at least 1' I will be happy but I don't expect it. I have my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

As for the Main girls, #1 is going through her natural cycle and a bulk of her fan leaves are yellowing. It doesn't look like a deficiency or anything she just seems to be going through her cycles. Soon she will be naked and just pure bud.

#2 is still a dark green and most likely will start that phase in 1-2 weeks but she is still looking good. I love the buds on both of this girls and I still have plenty of time before harvest. I am definitely getting impatient. I wanna be able to say I have had my first harvest already but I know that it wont happen for awhile.

Until then I just have to sit back and dream about packing my first bowl of these lovely ladies.:thumb:

Pic Update:11/08/2011 Hey guys, It's late in the night but it is still Tuesday(at least where I am) so I thought I'd give you all an update into what's going on in my neck of the woods. I have a pretty killer headache so I am going to make this short and go get medicated after so here it goes.

Lemon Skunk: Flowering

So today they had their first dose of Blue Planet Nutrients: Farmer's Pride and I am sure they are loving it. Right now I am using the Bloom mixture and I will use the Monster bloom starting next week. Both main girls got 3500ml each and my clones for 500ml each.

#1 Is looking good and she got herself a natural haircut today. I took off some of the progressed yellow leaves that were pretty much falling off anyways. You can see some of them still attached but I predict she will most likely lose them all by next week this time. Her trichomes are getting crazy for sure. The buds are very frosty and so early on I am excited to see how things go in the next few weeks. Here are a couple shots.

IMG_14579.JPG
IMG_14598.JPG

#2 Is also looking nice. The main top cola is so fat its insane. The thing about that is I know the BPN products are going to make them swell even more so I'm just all around pumped to see where it goes. No yellowing on the leaves yet so I'm guessing #1 matured way early compared to this one. Trichome production is moving along nicely. I'm thinking about half harvesting to let the bottom popcorn buds get some weight.

Lemon Skunk Clones: Flowering

Tallest of the clones is 9" and the shortest is almost 7". Not much to say individually so I will just generalize. They are all doing great and healthy. #1.1 has really small leaves compared to the #2.x clones. Pistils are shooting everywhere so I am hoping to gain a couple more inches before they go into full bud production. these clones have gotten nothing but BPN Products since their lives and being rooted so this should be a great grow environment.

Anyways. I have a few big projects that I have coming up, the most recent is the cloner which is about 75% done. I will post some pics up in my other journal since it will be used for my second grow. That is all I got for now. If I forgot anything sorry and I will post it later. Any comments or suggestions feel free to add them. Even hate or criticism I'll take it all. Anything to help me better myself. Till later my friends!

Edit: Sorry for the sloppy pics I wasn't feeling all that great this morning
