Hmmm.... how can I make my unit more attractive to the Swedish Bikini Team?
I'm afraid to ask, but which 'unit' are you referring to?

Wow. I can well imagine the scene as we do many such affairs around here. Rows of crawfish pots burlin up the spicy mix of crawfish, sausage, red 'taters, garlic (whole heads), maybe a few artichokes.
Crawfish season nears. Yowsa!
Had a house in B'hman a while back. Southside. Right up the hill a touch from the UAB sports med place and also a couple blocks from Dreamland. Dreamland starts cooking early in the morning and the smell permeates the neighborhood every damn morning.... it's a very evil marketing ploy they use guaranteeing traffic from the locals.
Lots of questions....
I grow and love Crit+. Are you growing the original Crit+ or the newer Crit+2.0? I currently have the 2.0 version going and it grows very similarly to the original version. Just started so I've not harvested one yet and don't know about the smoke... but expect great things.
I had problems with the peat pellets myself. Probably due to 95% humidity combined with 95f temps. I've had great luck using perlite alone for both cloning and seeds. When you water buckets with peat pellet plants, try to avoid getting the pellet too wet... it can lead to rot issues.
I've been popping my seeds directly in their final home bucket. Probably not the best/fastest way to go. I keep them very wet by watering them daily a touch until they get 2 or 3 leaf sets going. It takes a little while for them to take off as they really don't start growing fast until the roots hit the bottom. I know I could get better performance transplanting them, but I'm super lazy.
I clone in small containers with hempy holes... kinda like little hempy cloners. You can see some examples a few pages back.
Don't worry one bit. Easy-peasy baby!
First... do it in an area where you don't mind or can easily clean up spilled perlite and water. I do it in my back yard and don't cry one bit over spilled perlite.
Fill your target bucket with a bit of perlite in the bottom... high enough to cover the hole.
Get your transplant victim and float it out of the perlite by plugging and filling it's pot with water. Then gently wiggle the plant out.
Dangle the plant over the target bucket at the height you want with one hand. Use your other hand to fill in the container with perlite around the roots.
Keep holding the plant at the height you want. Pick the bucket up with your other hand and tap it on the ground gently a few times to get the new perlite to settle a bit. Top off the perlite after it settles.
Water it in well with whatever mix you use.
<editorial note... you payin attention here SweetSue?>
I rarely see any growth impact from the transplant, tho it may pause for a little bit as it's rots reach back down into the res at the bottom.
You'll probably need a big unit.Hmmm.... how can I make my unit more attractive to the Swedish Bikini Team?
Look, a Swedish chick. Here they come already.Swedish bird looking in....hm.....

(Angry though. Watch out)
Yay Sue! I thought we'd lost you. All that talk about 'living soil'. Baaahh.
Reps for not giving up.
I'm still keeping the living soil Weaselcracker. I harvested my best DDA to date. I couldn't ignore that. I have to give it another go and this time actually keep track of what I was doing. That first run I never once wrote down what I was mixing, and I never really knew what I was doing. To be honest, I was totally lost. Kinda scary, isn't it? My best work and I went at it with all the purpose of a drunken sailor.
Good God, what does this suggest about me?
yeah my local store also has the viagrow perlite, its a much larger bag and no nutes in it like miracle grow. I was thinking about just wrapping my white bucket with duct tape since I don't have any spray paint and the plant is already in there.

Glad to see you giving it another go Sue! Tead has high hopes for you and the hempy.
On another note, Tead, I clipped two clones off of my Original Granddaddy Purple, if they both take you are welcome to one.
It suggests you are intuitive
The hempy's back in action Tead.
