Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

It always hurts to strip the growing ones to supply the need, but only until that first sweet hit of relief. This is, after all, why we grow.

I'm still in my full on summer configuration with ac and exhaust fans still all blowing at max.
At least it's fallen from the 90s to the 80s. That allowed me to add some very needed wattage to my veg tent lighting.
No end in sight.

Wow 80's and 90's ive already had alot of 30's 40's and 50F days and am winter proofing my garden already!

I've not drug out even a jacket yet.
hmmmm.... wonder which suitcase they're stored in....

What is the lowest temp you see in NOLA and what time of year typically would you see the low temp? Lol just seems crazy to me that its october and you still have temps in the 90's i would have thought you would be having temps from 70-80F by now. :tokin:

Ya know... it can vary by a lot. It depends on if the air mass from the Gulf of Mexico extends over us or not. It's like a fight that occurs every year above our heads. Generally, the two air masses flop back and forth, but some years one or the other wins out.
The hot years don't help the growing much, but it's sure nice to spend a winter wearing shorts and sandals. Plus, nothin beats a warm Mardi Gras.
When we do get cold years, it usually settles in around or after the new year. We often don't see freezing temps, or only see them for a night or two. Usually in the Jan-Feb months. It always feels super-cold tho... the humidity makes the cold penetrate more.

I can usually warm my grow areas with the lights. Sometimes I supplement heat over the night time hours. This year might be very different for me tho... it will be the first winter in the flower chamber I put together this year.

Looking good Tead! Just tonight I planted that Blue Dream bean. It's my last, so I am going to make sure to keep a couple clones hanging around. The OG Kush you gifted me is doing alright in her new home. I also completely forgot about the Ultra Dog beans you were so nice to share with me, I am going to have to get one of those in soil in a week or two.

Looking nice, Tead. These tiny spots are signs of calcium deficiency, which this strain needs a lot as F1 grew in High Brix soil, which is rich in it. I'm not sure how you can pull it off in hydro, but it's probably doable.

Awesome!
I'll really be curious to see how the OGK does in soil. She's a fast finisher and under your big lights she may be a much more interesting monster than in my garden. I just peeked at her on your page... she looks really happy.

Your words have brought on a realization this morning.
Little ones get a much lighter diet than my older girls. Tho I supplement calcium with CalMag, I don't alter the amount of CalMag I use on babies. Since they're getting a lighter nutrient mix, they're getting lighter amounts of calcium input from my nutrients.
Hadn't realized that before. Simple fix... more CalMag.
Thanks!

Also light Ca deficiency pops up only on about 20% of UD phenos, which means you got one of these going. The other one doesn't have it, so maybe you're not gonna even see it. Just remember that neither P1 stock nor F1 generation was ever grown in hydro. This strain was grown outdoor and in organic High Brix soil, which means you might have to adjust your feeding method if something like that pops up again.

Yes it is. :laughtwo:

In just over a week I went from this

It gets away from you quickly, doesn't it?

I love the filled up tent.. I am biting myself every time I am thinking..aa look a clone. Shall I go for it?
I stop myself only because we have to have a low limit. But your tent is my dream. :Namaste:
