yeah I got a hempy grow going. Its 4x8 tent with critical+, lemon skunk and mataro blue. I also have two swiss cheese clones going. I had horrible problems with my seedlings being started in bad peatmoss. I started my last four seeds in peat pellets and transplanted them into all perlite hempy buckets. They are just now starting to take off. like you, my temps have been too high, they are just now getting better. I noticed that starting seedlings in large hempy buckets didn't work well for me. I transplanted my smallest seedling into half a two liter bottle that I cut in half and it took off immediately, its actually outgrowing everything else now. The only thing im worried about is transplanting it back into a bigger bucket. It seems like perlite is gonna go everywhere with roots dangling down. Has this been an issue with you?
Lots of questions....
I grow and love Crit+. Are you growing the original Crit+ or the newer Crit+2.0? I currently have the 2.0 version going and it grows very similarly to the original version. Just started so I've not harvested one yet and don't know about the smoke... but expect great things.
I had problems with the peat pellets myself. Probably due to 95% humidity combined with 95f temps. I've had great luck using perlite alone for both cloning and seeds. When you water buckets with peat pellet plants, try to avoid getting the pellet too wet... it can lead to rot issues.
I've been popping my seeds directly in their final home bucket. Probably not the best/fastest way to go. I keep them very wet by watering them daily a touch until they get 2 or 3 leaf sets going. It takes a little while for them to take off as they really don't start growing fast until the roots hit the bottom. I know I could get better performance transplanting them, but I'm super lazy.
I clone in small containers with hempy holes... kinda like little hempy cloners. You can see some examples a few pages back.

Don't worry one bit. Easy-peasy baby!
First... do it in an area where you don't mind or can easily clean up spilled perlite and water. I do it in my back yard and don't cry one bit over spilled perlite.
Fill your target bucket with a bit of perlite in the bottom... high enough to cover the hole.
Get your transplant victim and float it out of the perlite by plugging and filling it's pot with water. Then gently wiggle the plant out.
Dangle the plant over the target bucket at the height you want with one hand. Use your other hand to fill in the container with perlite around the roots.
Keep holding the plant at the height you want. Pick the bucket up with your other hand and tap it on the ground gently a few times to get the new perlite to settle a bit. Top off the perlite after it settles.
Water it in well with whatever mix you use.
<editorial note... you payin attention here SweetSue?>
I rarely see any growth impact from the transplant, tho it may pause for a little bit as it's rots reach back down into the res at the bottom.
