Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

So... my little Afgann reg wouldn't take it's hat off. I hate doing it, but it was really just clam shelled on slightly. Got it off with no problem. Probably would have come off today anyway.

And a bonus shot of my little hempy cloner....

Mornin' Tead, and a good morning to you as well Deprivation. :battingeyelashes: Interesting username. Care to share the reasoning behind that? Just curious by nature.

Oh yes Tead.... I'm culling for another pickup of household items and came across the boxes of Sierra Natural Science products from the contests. Does this qualify as a nutrient line? Could I run a plant on these products? Forgive the ignorance, I'm totally untrained.

I so did not think milk :high-five:

Just hit some honey oil can't smell like bowls in public.

Regards

You go baby!!! Oil's always made my wheels turn bettah.

So yea, milk works... pretty good as it turns out.
Had a grow buddy do a baby formula grow once... it worked out great for him.
We pick up ideas in the oddest of places. That's why I checked into your passive hydro thread.
Welcome along.
The chatter runs the gamut so feel free to toss any bits into the gumbo that seem fun.

Wow... never seen powdered nutes other than MG stuff. Yea... you go girl... 'm r nutes baby!
I actually had the thought yesterday... "Say Tead... I seem to recall SS wining some contest or another.... I think the prize pack for this MOTM includes some nute samples.... I wonder if she passed them on to someone else already?"... but I think it got lost in the clutter and whatnot.
You might run out tho... those packs seem mighty smallish.
Check their site and see if they have a passive feeding schedule for that powdered nute line. I find that most manufacturers have passive schedules.

Was a style of growing once upon a time... Back then the few growers I knew of Stole street lights, cored concrete walls to steel power, rented and ruined houses. I wasn't much for the high risk low reward activities like these.

With our weather (late spring early fall frost) big crops out doors wouldn't be feasible can't finish and I didn't have early finish genetics like now, you kind of had what you had and cherished it.

I rented a field for storage use. far from all things, then bought a enclosed car hauler and used it as a dark room (light deprivation) to flower plants... no dark devil autos to be found??? but twice a day me and my wagon would put everything away and take it out so it's a job. But using summer sun to flower :thumb::high-five::lot-o-toke::party:

now I have genetics that veg on 24/7 and once you reduce that to any other schedule bam flower 90 day finish.

I didn't know that was called "the light deprivation" method... but the name says it all really. I would imagine that it would be much more functional in one's own back yard. Probably gets to be a drag to schlepp out there every damn day.

Tead, they're in liquid form and I have eight packets of each, since I won two contests. Now I need to decide if I want to use just these or do one with osmo plus and one with SNS. I may return the osmo and go with these packets.

Deprivation, thanks for the explaination. As to my username, I chose that on a whim when I signed up and it's been fairly well-established that is was a perfect fit for me. I do trend to the sweet side, being an irrepressible optimist. I have a habit of falling into "Mom mode" and I think of the community as an extension of my own family by now. I post so frequently that it sometimes feels like I'm trying to run the site, but I'm not really. I just talk a lot. Lol!

Or just see that Tead has done all the work and use the osmo.

:laughtwo: Good point, but no one's tried the nutes from SNS in this application and I have an abundance of them on hand. I'm gonna go with contrasting them, running two weeks apart.

And that will be the conclusion of today's course. Questions welcomed with open arms.

Since I've been told there is no such thing as a stupid question, and having time constraints as well as being plum lazy, may I ask why a plastic bucket of perlite is called a "hempy bucket"?

:hmmmm:

My baby with the hat apparently had a stocking cap underneath. An inner membrane from the inside of the shell was still holding the leaves back. It came of easier than the shell.

And I just don't even know what to make of this...

Busy day. Unwinding by kicking around the threads some.

So i am high and this milk thing is a huh . mixing nutes kinda read the baby formula thread by scrolling for photos . so you add "milk" does that = baby formula or grocery store 2% my plants started bloom and i hate having to mix hydrated lime. 2 tsp 2% I guess for todays feed its a Hempy no worries on a friday.

Yup... 2tsp of 2% per gallon.
Baby formula is a much different thing. It's actually a complete nutrient. I has all the micros even.

:hmmmm:

Well.. the magic is the hole in the side 2 inches up. It creates a res at the bottom of the bucket. When the roots grow down into it, the plant takes off. The hole is what makes it a "Hempy Bucket".

I was wondering since you can't over water hempys does that mean i could flush even though the container isn't light yet?
