Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Yea... I might dose the garden with a round of BT. Should keep them at bay for a week.
Really, the outside garden is a study in local small flora and fauna. I have aphids on my milkweed that are kept in check by milkweed assassin bugs. The soil is a way too alive with snails... tho the perlite seems to be keeping their numbers down. There are plenty of weeds that pop up everywhere. Birds and squirrels find a decent snack available at most times. Lots of Monarchs at most times of the year.
It's overwhelming for such a lazy farmer.

So... I'm shocked. A medical mj bill for LA has passed both houses and sits upon the desk of our Governor. I suspect it will shortly be signed into law.
It will be years before the program designed in the bill will actually hit the pharmacies... yes, it's being distributed by pharmacies apparently. There are "first right of refusals" give to 2 of the larger state run universities... if neither jumps, it moves to "commercial growing programs".

One can really see many problems with the program as envisioned by the lawmakers. Then there are the inherent problems with adding large piles of cash to any equation. When I consider the every day historic examples of any sort of government run program in our region, I instantly realize that there will be graft and huge buttloads of stupidity involved.

I'm afraid.

as well you should be; suspect at the very least

So... some grow room design shots.
I've thrashed around a bit, but have settle for the moment on a curtained in design. I gave the curtain support with some Romex wire.

Note the fine engineering attaching the feed hose for the veg tent to the AC output

I'm not so sure of the effect of the blue tarp yet. I think it's not doing much. I'll look at putting a gap up there.
Jeez... waiting for seed to arrive.... I know... I just ordered them, but I find myself frequently reviewing the "Despatched" email from Herbies.

When in the boat yard for months on end in Trinidad, (even hotter & MORE humid than NOLA, which I never thought possible) we used coors light cases to make the intake from the window units to the ducting like you have there, outr window units were stuck into open hatches above deck on the boat. Worked pretty damn good actually.

Sounds like some professional jackleg engineering. I'm just a mere amateur.
I'm actually pretty happy with that duct run. My veg tent balloons up nicely when the zipper is closed and the temps are following the bloom rooms temps pretty closely. It could use an insulated duct instead of the thin one I have going. I have an central AC installation in the near future at a property we picked up recently.... I'm gonna hit my AC guy up for some insulated ducting.

We're going through the same growing pains in PA. They passed it, now they'll fight amongst themselves for a couple years, then award the contracts to cronies. Sorry, too many years watching the ineptitude that passes for state legislatures. So far, only Colorado appears to have some sense of how this process should be done, and if you notice, they're they ones running away with the markets. It'd be nice if the rest of our tribe woke up to the taste of freedom and personal responsibility and told our lawmakers in masse to just get out of our way already.

Yeah, still irrepressibly optimistic about the future, but maybe it'll take a bit longer than I'd hoped. Louisanna brings us to the halfway point though, doesn't it? That's if you don't count the steps backward Washington state's taking this summer by risking the medicinal dispensaries in favor of recreational money. Legislators......... A real challenge to stay optimistic about them. I try not to be afraid. It takes more effort than I'm comfortable with on this issue.

Ya know... I would point at the fact that LA is really about the last place I ever expected it to pop. I'm quite shocked that forward movement has been made. Once again, we beat MS to the finish line!
I can't help but wonder what the Fed stance will be when a vast majority of it's states have legalization laws on the books.
Perhaps I will see it in my lifetime.

Word on the street is that they're going to visit that rescheduling question this summer. I think Obama was hoping that by this time the majority of states could be on the progressive simple of the fence before he committed to being historically noted as the "Pot President". Maybe he should rethink that and decide that we're going to remember him as the president who gave us our freedom back. Grow some balls and say "F**k 'em all!!!" If we could dispense with the dreams of legacy we could actually get things accomplished.

Ok... so... sorry to be gone so much. So many threads to catch up on... but not now.
Spent some time today putting together inner grow shed v2. This time I went for a much smaller more manageable size. Room for 3 plants max really.
So far, the temps are 10 degrees lower floating around 90 instead of 100. Plus, it was a hot day with LOTS of UV.
I'm quite happy so far. Time will tell, but day1 looked good.

I put a top on it and ran the cooltube ducting thru it.

I feel the same way about PA as you do about LA Tead... I was sure it was going to be one of the last holdout states for any kind of cannabis legalization instead of almost smack dab in the middle. Its so frustrating the way most states are handling it tho. Im happy there is finally forward progress being made but there is still so far to go. How anyone can still believe the lies told for so long and ignore the vast mental and physical healing properties of cannabis in this wondrous age of information is beyond me. Closed ears, closed eyes, closed minds...
I hope your diy craftsmanship gets your temps where you want them. Its going to be a struggle for most of us for the summer months.

Time will tell Laz. I'm sure not holding my breath.
As for the inner bloom tent... it's really kicking some ass. High temps were around 100f, but are now not above 90 floating in the 83-89 range. It's freakin awesome! The sun has been brutal for the last few days so I really am impressed. The AC compressor runs about 1 minute out of every 10 during most of the day with the fan running constantly. So happy.

You guys should look at MN mmj program its one of the worst ive seen and they rip ppl off moneywise
