I'm just getting caught up Tead. I've been uber lazy lately. I haven't even watered my hempy plants for like 7-10 days They make it so easy. I'll give 'em some food tonight though. Your plants are looking great though. I still want to see what potential that osmo girl has. I'm considering trying that in a next grow.
I cleaned and dried my last meter before storage for quite some time (6 months) and it worked fine. Then the last week before it's retirement, it started acting finicky and giving odd readings. My plants were suffering too. I tried calibrating but would get readings of 16.0 etc. I bought a new meter (same one), and now store it wet in a mix of distilled water and KCl (I use a salt substitute) and haven't had any issues with this meter for several months. I don't even need to re-calibrate it anymore. Can't say this cheapie will last forever though.
Nice looking roots coming out of that cloner! I may have to pick up a plastic bin the next time I'm at the store...

I was peeking at the OsmoGirl today... hard to resist staring at the experiment. She's lighter colored than I think I want. I think I'll wait till her roots hit the bottom before I try to correct it. I'm afraid she'll hit more nutrient rich mix when her roots get down towards the res. Keeping a tight eye on her.

It's my space... I'll rant when I want...
Fucking Christmas just needs to crawl off and die already. As much as I try to avoid it, I just can't steer clear of the holiday.
Every media channel has been shoving it down our throats for 3 months. I'm especially irritated by the just utterly stupid shit shilled on TV during the holidays.
Every single thing I see during the holidays rotates directly around money. Everything. Sad.
So glad the end is near.
I survive the season by wrapping myself in the knowledge that Carnival Season is just around the corner.

Another thought... get a clear one to use for a cover. That solo cup bullshit I got going works, but a clear tub the same size one could use as a cover would be much better.

Ahhhh... yes... perhaps something good can rise from the holiday hell.
Photos and feeding. It's been way warm in the garden... hanging around 80. The girls were all dry.

Next up is 3rd gear. I have a lower branch sticking out that, if not supported, would droop way down below the pot top. I circled it in red. Dunno if I should trim it off or not. Feel like I should. Hate to do it. It does have some nice popcorn buds on it.

I stopped watching tv when my husband went into nursing care in Feb. Thought I'd go back to it when he died in June, but couldn't stomach the idea of it any more. Consequently, I've managed to avoid almost all the holiday crap. Visiting my friend in Phoenix means it's on in the evenings when they come home from work, so I know what you mean. Relentless marketing.
I bought a roll of Velcro strips and use them to quickly support lazy limbs when it's called for. If you cut the branch with the popcorn buds all that energy should be directed to the more bountiful colas, no??? Why are you even hesitating here? Are you short on supply? Just hate the idea of chopping anything early? Guilty as charged here - I harvested that tiny Dark Devil Auto that only turned out 2 grams dry, so I can't disparage your reluctance now, can I?

Clipping one's plant is always a little tough. We spend so much time making them grow that cutting a girl seems so wrong.

So, I got to thinking about temps. Then, of course, reading followed. My thoughts focused in on the high humidity as well. Much reading about high humidity causing less resin.
I had a dehumidifier hanging around. I decided to plug it in and see what happens.
It has a large footprint, but do-able. It holds 50 pints... I would imagine it will fill up quickly. The grow area is not sealed and, in fact, has a fan sucking in outside air.
I'd consider using the water. Nice to have a ready source of distilled water if I need it.
RH started at 72%.
