Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Hi Nieko
Awesome cure brother I can see why you like the Malawi x Panama thats a very nice finish. I bet the texture is awesome as well.
Just chewing a very compressed hash like piece of Panama this cob is electric pure euphoria and a HUGE energy boost.
I had 0.25g of the Honduras cross yesterday one of the best highs I have had very euphoric as well just felt on top of the world the whole day.
This is living.

Looking great and the buffet is starting, where is the end of the line?

I bet the local dog park looks better....:laugh::rofl::rofl:

My thoughts exactly.

Damn Neiko! What a lineup! :adore:

I had some Devil’s Carnival cob earlier today that was fruity-sweet, tasted like chewing gum. Lol! A nice head high full of good feelings ensued. :battingeyelashes: It wasn’t a big piece, so the high wasn’t long-lasting.

I came around the corner at Target today and found this at half price. :slide:

Now I can use those bags I bought. Lol!

I opened up the Red Diesel so I could seal it up again with the handheld, to discover I neglected to charge the battery. before sealing it back up with the big unit I stole off a nice piece of the canary to indulge in on a Saturday night.

I have a journal intro to write, which might be on hold ‘till morning. Lol! Time to break out the bong and explore. :battingeyelashes:

I’ve given thought, and for me the overriding effect of cobs, so far, has been this delicious feeling that it’s wonderful to be alive. There’s a deep sense of cosmic connection that’s a constant with cobs. For me it doesn’t matter whether I smoke or chew.

Anyone else getting the same feeling? We all know I’m like a cosmic princess anyway, :D so I’m always wondering if it’s just me.

Sometimes the sheer magnitude of the cannabis options available to me is awe-inspiring. :battingeyelashes:

Chewing is something I need to prepare for/recuperate from. Mental health business aside, it's lovely, but can prove a bit much.

Though getting from seed to harvest to cob has charged me with an enthusiasm I'd near forgotten, and adds all the more to the connection felt when partaking. There's no bud like your own bud and all that.

I think I'll leave the cosmic princess duties to you, I'll tend to my couch princess duties instead :p

Edit: forgot to add that even when not consuming the cob, just... beholding it? I'm still amazed hey.

so I’m always wondering if it’s just me.
And I thought I was imagining it as well ha ha. I say if I am I've got a lovely imagination ha ha.
The feeling of one ness and bliss is the high I lust after. When you feel like Jesus's son, like Lou Reed sang.
I feel like I'm on a mission from god same mission different day ha ha.
It doesn't get much better than this my friend you feel blessed and on top of the world.

Looking at all the cob pics here I think we may all be very fast learners. I have a White Widow that will 100% be going into cobs. It is starting to look like the traditional method of drying may take a back seat here. I am thinking of putting her into one large cob(brick).

I just thought of what the cobs remind me of. The plugs of hard chewing tobacco you had to bite off.

High farmers!

Don't know if anyone has posted this video before but I thought I would share
with my fellow cob makers.

This documentary speaks about cannabis trade and shows a Malawian farmer making cobs from banana leaf.

Jump to 12:10 mark to watch the cob making.

Tangwena,
Some of his statements I dont agree with.
Well, most of em actually.
The narrator does not share our medicinal values obviously.

Besides that I'm interested in your opinion.

Cheers stage,, for that video

SSeems more like cobbing for transport rather than for enhancement purposes,, but,, a cob is a Cob Is a cob

Isn't it?

Hey Scottay, thanks for asking! It was good. I think that is a good 'dose' for doing stuff around the house all day or needing to get some good gardening done. Lots of energy and seemed to keep the back pain down until I got foolish and kicked the soccer ball around a bit with the lad. But a few minutes on the couch with the legs propped up and it seemed to recover nicely and I was up and back to work up potting my main-lined White Widow without any discomfort to my back. Just finally settled down after dinner and an update on the monstah Northern Lights so I would say that 2-10 was a pretty decent time aside from the ill advised soccer play.

Having said that, I want to push it to find my upper limit. So next time will be a .60 and see how it goes.

Now as far as affects, the strain was very clear headed. I didn't get any of the wild stuff some people talk about. Might not be in the strain as its about a 50/50 of Alaska Thunderfuck x Blueberry. This was a very functionable and enjoyable dose with this strain.

I am looking forward to getting to a more Sativa strain!
Wellllll Van......at the very least it sounds enjoyable! I suffer chronic pain also. Glad it helped you function throughout. Sounds good! Can't wait to hear about the next higher chewed piece. Until then....stay happy & high.....tell mrs van hello:passitleft:

I have seen several videos of Malawi farmers making cobs and they are all just rough commercial green sun dried buds.
You have to understand most farmers there are dirt poor and growing and selling cannabis is just a way to make a few extra dollars.
Just about every man and his dog is into it. They all trade on the reputation of Malawi cobs as being the best ganja around.
The average African does not know or like strong pot or strong beer they just want to get stoned and drunk.
The export cobs are usually very low grade and dry green color full of seeds and crap really.

There are good quality around of course but they are swamped by the commercial crap that has flooded the market.
You can get the best high quality if you know the right people and its still there if you look hard enough.

The real ganja farmers are very secretive as its still illegal and would not be showing it on tv.
I saw the strain hunters video which is a joke. What self respecting grower is going to let a crew of loud noisy attention seeking Europeans who stick out like a dogs balls in a quiet rural community see his illegal grow ?
The top cob makers are very secretive about how they produce their cobs and each district or area will have its own secret curing method.
I was never able to find out how they were done only vague references to burying them ect.
And we had good contacts and were very low key trying not to attract attention, we always had fishing rods with us as a cover. We had got lost looking for a secret fishing spot this was accepted by the locals who all fish.
So apart from novelty value I wouldn't hold much store by any of the videos going around.
The really strong well cured cobs are only available to the rich, medicine men and those with the right contacts even the government ministers are involved in their sale. Saying that if you flash US dollars around in any of the bigger towns you will eventually hit pay dirt.

ok, this cob business is too much, I have to jump in and give it a try.

I managed to buy a 2nd hand unopened food vacuum sealer at a great price and it arrived on Friday morning.

Friday evening I harvested the remains of my White Widow and Blueberry grow at around 11 weeks, I had harvested the top buds around 10 days ago, so these buds were the smaller ones, managed to set aside a little over 30 grams for a cob.

I couldn't find any corn husks so went ahead and cobed it up anyway after giving it a good roll and squeeze on a sushi mat.
The aroma was amazing, strong terpene smell.

I just thought of what the cobs remind me of. The plugs of hard chewing tobacco you had to bite off.

I never tried or saw chewing tobacco, but they remind me of plug pipe tobacco that my Grandad used to smoke. It came in a moist block in small tin pack and he used to pare it with a small sharp penknife, then crumble it and wad it into his pipe, I can still remember being only a little over 2 years old, sitting on his lap while he did his routine and filled his pipe, squeezing and gently tamping the tobacco down with his thumb, I used to love the smell (I wonder where this habit started lol), he'd strike the match and puff away until the top glowed red, and I suddenly decided to give it an extra tamp and jammed my thumb down it. Oh the yells and tears, that was it, my mother banned my grandad from smoking his pipe near me.

Thanks grandad, I bet you would have loved paring and packing a cob into your pipe :D

I also wish I had some of the old tin packs it came in.

:Namaste:

I’ve been smoking a bit off my cobs, I found that if I turn my grinder upside down to grind it up very fine it burns perfectly in a joint and it’s so smooth you can hardly tell if it’s even lit or not. It burns real slowly though so mixing it with regular flowers creates an uneven burning joint.
