Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Theres a couple of phenos the Thai and the Malawi both are worth keeping.
If you chew these babies you wont be asking yourself any questions just answering them all it will take you and do with what it pleases if you prefer a little Thai to a big African thats your personal taste my friend.
I like to vary the mix for different types of trip effect either or both they all do the job.

So many years of exploring cobs ahead. :yahoo: I’m so glad we met. :hugs:

Those are exquisite! Please, pass on our appreciation for the share and applause at a job well done. :bravo:

Tangwena's intention is to share this wonderful gift of knowledge with the world, to change the hearts and minds of cannabis enthusiasts, one cob at a time. I'm honored, as an unofficial ambassador of :420: to bring the knowledge back to my friends.

I think we're going to look back on this day warmly as the start of something wonderful. Can't you feel it? :yahoo:

Ok, who's in?

Ohh boy im soooo in for the ride lol. So have u started a cob yet? So what does the end product end up like is it a drink or do u end up with buds tht u can smoke? Either way it seems like a big adventure and alot of fun lol.

Awweee good ole Liver damaging Pills ... Pharm companies love the idea... How Novel... :(

I keep wondering how TS can make a statement like that, but I feel his frustration that his body appears to be throwing in the towel. Everyone finds their win way to relief.

@Blazinjones, what you end up with looks like cat droppings you slice with a knife. Welcome to the exciting world of fermented cannabis.

What can you expect? Well.... your smoke will be the smoothest you can find, smoother than Jack Herer, and that’s saying a lot. Lol!

You can expect to have euphoric experiences you likely haven’t found before with cannabis. I think of is as a more inclusive buzz, and as they cure the buzz will develop tones of the spiritual nature.

You want good sativas, the trippy ones.

Do you have any DDA seeds? It’s a trippy chemovar I’ll be ready to test.

There’s a strong inclination to choose genetics from Africa or South America - the chemovars ACE has chosen to specialize in. We’re also working with indicas to see what we can expect and so far the reporting has been positive there too, although not the triply high we’re all salivating over. lol!

Next harvest try a cob or two with a little canary along for the ride. Read the first couple pages to get the basics down and jump in. :hugs:

Hi Sue. I'm late as usual. I spent most of the morning yesterday catching up and I have to say this cob curing stuff is fascinating and I've taken the leap. i ordered some golden tiger to use for the cob curing process. I won't be able to start growing until November. My son his wife and mother in law are staying with us until their house is built. He is moving closer to his work eliminating a 2 hour commute every day. The one bright note is you will have more experiences to relate to us about the effects of the longer cured strains. I look forward to your adventures. peace.

You’re right on time SOG. :hugs: This gives you lots of opportunity to soak up virtual experience. We’re just getting started ourselves.

Well then I'll just pull up a chair and pack a bowl and follow along

heya y'all,, friends and sorta family

mighten i post an observation on the cobbing techniques we have all been discussing along here,, y;all discussing much more than me but that's groovy

i have been cobbing along with the rest of y'all, and have posted some pics etc,, and i wish i had some pics to go with this post because folks like pics, simply

however, i don't, simply dont have time for all involved in pic journaling,,

however,, trust what i am saying is the truth,, an please pay heed,, or pay someone anyway

i have been wrapping my cobs in oven bag material, actually volcano vaporizer bags,, because tangs first chart by another member said oven bags was a usable alternative to corn husk,,

i was not able to find corn on the cob to get husk from,, till now

so i harvested a beautiful blueberry plant saturday and did a nice big cob on sunday morning and vacuumed it up and threw it in the hot tub,, 104

then sunday noon i went to the store and lo and behold they had a corn on the cob, so i bot one and went home and immediately made two new blueberry cobs from the corn husk,,

very cool looking,, looks like a body bag, including the body

so,, scroll ahead 24 hrs to tonight when i got home and checked the cobs, after 30 hrs in the hot tub,, well rested and wrinkly as heck

i unwrapped two cobs,, and checked them,, one with a corn husk and the one with the oven bag

i then observed my important observation

the first thing i noticed was the corn husk smelled just like the blueberry cob,, important clue

the corn husk cob was pretty dry and matt looking,, no problems there

the oven bag cob was extremely sticky and shiny,, another big clue

both cobs had near the same colour and the sticky one smelled a bit stronger

but my conclusion was that the corn husk was not contributing a darn thing to the equation,,

it was a taker, not a giver,, it had absorbed all the trichomes from the outer layer of the blueberry cob,, and only smoking that husk was going to salvage all that goodness

so i might

i will not be using corn husk in the future,, vaporizer bags for me,, seems logical

cheers friends

btw,, so far i have , oldest to youngest,, an og kush cob,, a lemon skunk cob,, two mama thai/ thai stick cobs, and now three blueberry cobs,,

what fun it all is

another btw,, i have been curing my curing cobs only wrapped up and tied in the vape bag,, not vacuum sealed,, for over two weeks now,, with no mold issues at all,, i think mold would not dare

Interesting observations nivek. Thank you for sharing all of that. You're gonna have the guys experimenting with oven bags next. Lol! We're doing essentially the same thing with canaries, and the hope is to see what difference the cobs make. Tangwena, and others on his thread that've been doing this for a while believe the cobs do make a difference, and you may find that they do as well, once your cobs mature more.

Then again, maybe not. Isn't science fun? :battingeyelashes:

nivek, we lose trichomes in the vacuum sealing too, just the way we lose them in the cobs. I suppose we could scrape the plastic, but I don't think that would be productive.

By the way, I simply love that you sweat your cobs in the hot tub. You are one of a kind my friend.

Wow that blew me away but I was really already blown away from something else so it was on the cards.
Its a lot easier to see pics than read pics brother please please reconsider and put a few up.
I saw a pic of a pile of vac sealed cobs on another forum it really brightens my day.
Dont be shy we are all waiting or at least I am the others can form an orderly cue behind me and no funny business.

I am a week or two away from harvesting some interesting indica crosses that I will be making a cob out of. My plan is to mix both strains together with a combination of smaller bottom nugs and a few primo colas. Might do one of each but I dont have a lot of material. One plant each strain.

Gods Blue Warp. The interesting one here for me, is the Texada Timewarp influence. It quite a famous strain that obviously has messed some folks perception of time back in the day. Sounds perfect for the cob treatment. God bud is also a famous strain known for packing a kick. Not sure if the Blue is from blueberry but thats my intuition. She has a complex odor right now with dense colas. Strong, pungent, a bit sweet.

The second strain is Blue Bud. Blueberry crossed with BC Big Bud. This is a much taller plant than the GBW, it has a potent indica effect. We shall see. I might have to try some ACE gear to get the desired effect lol.

Interesting information about the bags vs corn husk nivek. Personally I think the corn husks offer a few important attributes we may not fully understand yet (but were discussed). I like all the “research” everyone is doing.

I will do my part for this indica cob research lol

@tangwena, I’ll concede you the front of the line. Lol! :hugs:

I will do my part for this indica cob research lol

Wow! The God’s Blue Warp sounds delicious beyond belief! That ought to get you some interesting results UA. I think we’re gonna find out the indica cons offer a new delight. I’ve convinced my daughter to give the Jamaican a try the next time I open it.

I’ll tell ya, for smoothness of smoke alone this is worth the effort. I’m testing my Malawi cobs this morning and decided to smoke some. Man, am I glad I did.

I’ll be chewing while I process this Carnival. :yahoo:

More cob pics later. Today I’ll cob the Devil’s Carnival as well as one cob of this harvest. Then I’ll do another Carnival cob on Thursday. :slide:

The smell of the smoke is as addictive as the buzz. Lol! I find myself smoking to get the incense effect.

Damn! This is gonna be an interesting harvest. Lol! I’m already getting lost and I’m only two hits in. Lol!

This’ll do. :battingeyelashes:

Thats my girl right there the Queen of Cobs ha ha you are an inspiration to me.
A friend of mine who produces some of the best cobs around went deep on some chopper read cob the other day.

He was truly amazed at the effects he likened to LSD and mushrooms it was so strong.
He described it as a 3D trip into sight, sound and touch. I was so happy for him he found Alice for sure.

The Chopper Read is a sativa bred in Australia from PNG and Thai ect from what I can gather.
I have a couple of cobs he gifted me it smells dense like hashish and the effects are immediate they come on while your chewing very peppery taste but also sweet fermented fruits.
The cobs stink and need constant sealing or the room smells of hash.

If you use the right gear to make them the cobs are just as strong as anything out there in the trippy department
Just get the right buds and the right dose and you will never want anything else.

PS Sue those cobs have been aged to perfection in the pics you have the touch my friend you will become a medicine woman in no time along with your other qualifications. Much respect my lady.

Thank you Tangwena. :hugs: Around here I am considered their medicine woman. Lol!

Harvest was something of a challenge, but I got it all done and in the bag, including a couple cobs now sweating in the dehydrator.

You can see the difference in the density of the buds. I'll be pulling the Devil's Carnival cob after 12 hours and get it into the fermentation box. The Carnival gets an additional 12 hours.

She was the prettiest Carnival I've grown so far. She'll make sweet cobs. :battingeyelashes:

In celebration I'm gonna break out the Malawi bits and take a few hoots on the bong. :slide:
