Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Let me add my wonder to the mix. It’s been a month since I originally cobbed the Devil’s Carnival buds. Today is my moment to try another small bite.

It’s sitting on the mat in front of me waiting.

I’m gonna meditate so I can start chewing. My heart is actually racing at the thought. Lol!
Sue! your getting so good at this that looks awesome from way over here.

Cob cure progress report

Here are the pics from the examination of the cobs at 24 hours. There was a little moisture as you'll see. I wiped all moisture from the bag and the corn husks. Loaded them back up for another 24 hours.

I used nothing between the seedling heat mat and cob vacuumed bag. The thermostat probe was between the mat and the cob bag and I turned it at 12 hours. I'll do that again today.

I loved the smell as I could tell there was a reduction in chlorophyll. It was somewhat earthy and was retaining some of the Panama mother's terpenes which always reminded me of floor wax. I'm convinced thinking the aroma will be so much fuller with an additional 24 hour sweat.

The canary is just a small bud. It's all squished. Sticky stuff here.

Here is the canary bud and the tip of a cola from the barn

Used the flash on this one to see if I could get a good color comparison

You've got the feel for it my friend those will turn out good I can tell.
Watch out you dont over sweat them the trick is to just get them started they will carry on curing during the fermentation stage.
It doesn't matter to much but if you want to preserve as much of the terpy smell its best not to sweat them too long.
They will still get you high whatever length of sweat in fact the darker cobs are usually the strongest effects but not the most aromatic thats all.

I hear ya Jimmy.

The sweat is simply to jumpstart the fermentation. The cobs continue that delicious transformation, but if you keep them at really high temps for a longer sweat be alert it may accelerate the fermentation stage. You might want to open them up halfway through the fermentation week to assess their progress if you do another 24 hours at 104.

Why thank you kind sir. :battingeyelashes: I'm loving every minute of it. Lol!

I was thinking today as I showered that the cobs enhance the euphoric experience in that the water doesn't hit my skin, it caresses it. When I'm walking the river trail the powerfull flow of the water pulls me along. The wind doesn't buffet me, it embraces me.

With cobs the whole world becomes a big love fest, doesn't it? Lol! I realized that when I'm chewing cobs and then go out into my neighborhood I'm giving off an energy that's beginning to attract the attention of men. Caught me a little off guard, but all of a sudden men are making eye contact with me and smiling, where walking the streets used to be a solitary journey. When you live in a busy urban area you learn to pull back into yourself as a survival mechanism from all the sensory overkill.

With cobs it's like that all falls away and I become more interactive. An interesting experience.

Bummer I found a couple cobs where the bag leaked air. I cant find where the seal was bad but it obviously was not a tight seal.

But Good news! I just opened a mixed bag of cobs. Two weeks after sweat and temp has been 80 F or 27 C

They small very nice. They all smell the same as they have been in the same bag.

Cheers,

lazyfish,

Was there mold in there, L Fish? Hard to tell from the pics.
I've had numerous vacuum failures that I've noticed later, and been through quite a lot of plastic resealing and repackaging them. Sorry mother earth but what's a little more... :( No mold so far, though one Thai cob smells a little odd and I'll have to check that one out more in future.

There is mold only in the bagged pics.

Looks like there might be a bit on the leftmost of the three in the bowl, just where it sits on the rim of the bowl. Not a rampant colony like is in the foggy bag, but a little.

Or are my eyes not working again?

HaHa thats because you are open and receptive in more ways than you realize.
when I am high on good cobs its as if I can feel what people are thinking and every now and then eye contact becomes more like a download of their thoughts and emotions its so strong a feeling and it goes both ways they receive as much as they give.
Have you noticed how aware you are of your bodies workings, like when I am walking on certain cobs its like I am in someone elses body and learning how to drive this new one.

I can get into very deep exchanges with people I hardly know, its like they can sense that they can trust me.
Aren't some people beautiful? They have beautiful souls and attract me like a magnet in ways I had never experienced until I started chewing the cobs and stayed high enough for long enough to experience it.
I know you know what I mean.

Oh I do understand Tangwena. Today I treated myself to 0.5 grams of Malawi cob. It’s starting to ramp up now after an hour or so. I wanted to see how high I’d get after over a month curing.

I love the way they sparkle in the light.

I smile a special little grin when I know it’s time to open the Malawi cobs. This is my favorite buzz from cobs so far. I’ll be giggling at the slightest provocation in just a bit longer. Lol!

I suspect that chewing cobs in a daily basis will positively effect the health o the oral cavity. :yummy:

We need a cob emoticon.

My cob euphoria always starts with a little rush under the skin running up my arms. Anyone else noticing physical cues to effect taking hold?

Oh.... Happy 420 everyone.

If you’re lucky enough to have them, grab a chunk of cob and get to it. :high-five:

I had this only when absolutely sober on a break from canna whilst in tokyo some years ago. Scary thing is I felt it both positively and negatively from others. Not sure i have felt such a negative emotion since. I was little more than a grown boy at the time. :surf:

My daughter is incredibly sensitive to the energies given off by others. It’s part of what keeps her safe at home. Negative emotions feel like physical assault to her. It’s something I’ve struggled to help her control so she can feel safe away from home.

Cannabis is the only thing that takes the edge off for her.

Morning @Bonsaiweed Happy 420. :slide:
