Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

@neikodog , told you. :yahoo: I expected you’d hit the home run. :hugs:

If you find chewing uncomfortable or not optimal, oil extracted from cobs will be prime quality, and can be taken sublingually. Be careful with the dosage.

This may be the option for you @TorturedSoul. I have Everclear 151 in hand, even some that’s been distilled to around 180 that should do the trick. We’ll make this happen TS. You get to experience this too.

And hey...TS....I’m glad you found company in the weird, small hours of the morning. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Good morning everyone

I’ve determined that I need to open and inspect. It’s been five days, but I kinda overcooked the sweat, so I’m assuming I accelerated the process.

Be back soon. :ciao:

Well thank you Sue. I'm glad you have such confidence in me lmao! I'm flying blind here. If i hit a home run it was with my eyes closed.

I will take most of the Carnival and cob it at different stages of drying now. Those I left on the rack for 3 days but they dried a little faster than normal. I should have cobbed them up at 2 days.......but maybe not.

Was an excessively strange night, even for one of mine.

Fermentation is anerobic, yes? My mad-scientist days never ran to home brewing, and great grandma was the last bootlegger in the family (at least officially). But, IIRC, "aerobic fermentation" is actually cellular respiration.

I’m lovin’ this little science project we’ve begun. Lol!

TS, good to see you made it through the night. You sounded close to the edge and I was just getting ready to text you. :hugs:

Ok... I’m an hour into the chewing. I pulverized it between my toothless gums for a full 20 minutes, while I showered. Then I washed it down with a glass of milk and prepared my breakfast, rich in butterfat. Lots of options for the cannabinoids.

The bits I chewed were trimmed from the ends of the cobs.

You know, when I have a profound euphoric experience I never expect it to be repeated. Lol! I took notes for the early stages, trying to get a feel for how these particular cobs hit.

I took the larger piece for my morning. I’m sure that surprised no one. :battingeyelashes:

8:45 begin chewing, showered
8:53 felt the first of the rushes begin up the arms
8:54 goosebumps accompanied by the first mild head rush
9:01 chest thump, WooHoo!
9:35 lighter than air, the bounce begins :slide:

I’m rolling along nicely now, my belly full and my body beginning to race. Think I’ll take this buzz for a walk. I’m beginning to get that racy sense of “more!” WooHoo!

You got it just right Neiko. You have some of the finest instincts among us, IMHO, so I’m confident that you’ll feel your way through regardless of your eyes being shut. Lol!

Carnival grows much denser buds than almost anything else I grow. I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting the moisture levels right with her either. I’m still weeks out from my harvest. If mine produces enough I’ll be cobbing some on harvest day with her. I have a need to see what a cob requires when it’s harvest fresh, which should seal most of the terps inside.

My plan is to do some carnival today after 1 day hanging
Deydrator for 24ish hrs
Found my sushi mat
Got my corn husks
Hemp string

Not sure I'll do ACDC, but I may

Oh Chris, please do the ACDC. We need some experience and info on the high CBD chemovars.

And :yahoo: .....Chris is making cobs!!!! :yahoo:

This is a different euphoria, much stronger in the sense of well-being, like the whole planet smiles with you. Hehehe!

Tossed some fresh leaves into the ACDC to try and boost Rh, it's at about 67% now

Ya think the moist husk will add to the ACDC Rh?
Probably sweat it a bit shorter

Do your best to get to a minimum 75% RH. I’m sure the moist husks contribute, but the power comes from the core of the cob, the moisture working it’s way out.

Lower Rh needs a bit longer sweat.

Since mine were on the drier side Tangwena suggested I just seal it back up and not open it for a month. He said higher temps would give the best results. I took the towels off my sweat box and it fluctuates between 77-85 degrees. I'll leave it like that for a month before I sample it. It's going to be a long month. I can see it now, a bunch of boxes running at different temps depending on what stage the cob is in. I already ordered another seed heat mat for my 2nd sweat box. Fun stuff!

TS, good to see you made it through the night.

I never doubted I would. Had that been otherwise, you might have been annoyed with a late-night call (if only to thank you for the kindness of your continued friendship, and to express my hope that we'd meet again, in a friendlier realm of existence). It was just... a bit odd. I never felt myself to be in danger, or like I was having some sort of physical issue, such as when I was at Mom's house about six weeks ago and my vision kept dimming for some unknown reason (with no dizziness or any other symptoms) over the course of about ten minutes, then returned to normal.

OtOH... It was startling to the nth degree.

You sounded close to the edge

Ah, but that's my (meta)physical address ;) . The only question is... which side of the edge.

I suppose it's like the minor falsity of stating "wrong side of the tracks." If you live close enough, which side... is really an inconsequential distinction.

I pulverized it between my toothless gums

HtH do you even DO that, lol? I've still got my lower teeth (okay, portions of 11 of them, at least), but if I remove my upper plate, I can't get my jaws close enough together to really chew anything. Anything small enough to be considered a polite "bite" of food, at any rate. I've tried, and it feels just like it's on the verge of dislocation. Otherwise, I'd take them out more (as I've been told one should).

Oh, panic! (lol) Time to get ready to do the thing with Mom. I'll have to finish catching up with the thread later. Buzz well.

TS, once the teeth are all removed it's easier to do. I tossed the dentures. I'm a fan of tasting my food, and I've no desire to be uncomfortable for the sake of others being more at ease. I've managed to eat well regardless.

At three hours in I could feel this was going to be a more gentle ride, so I added half a Carnival brownie, which means I got ~ another 0.4 grams of plant material. The walk got cut short when my forehead started screaming from the blast of cold air coming down the river, so I'm back home, cozy and content.

I suppose this is a good time to share my cob experience. :battingeyelashes:

About two hours or so after I swallowed the cob bits I was standing in the kitchen looking out the window when I had a sense of "too much." I turned, went to the living room and stretched out on the mats. Laid the glasses on my chest, dropped the hands to my sides, closed my eyes and went quiet.

My daily meditation practice is nothing more than the quieting of my thoughts to allow the cells to harmonize around joy. Then I begin my day with that mindset imprinted on my cellular community. When I got down on the floor it was akin to my meditation mode, in that my breathing slowed and my mind went silent.

I laid there like that for about ten minutes. No visions, no thought at all, other than the occasional small urge to "get up and do something woman" that was instantly softened by the cellular need to catch up to me.

That was what I was trying to explain before I shared this. In the stillness on the floor I had a sense that my cells were trying to catch up to me. Lol! Nothing profound, really, other than the deeper sense of the individual nature of my cells and that wonderful stillness I didn't want to disturb.

When I meditate I allow the cells to let me know when they're up to speed. Invariably, somewhere about 15-20 minutes in I'll suddenly take a pronounced inhallation and the eyes pop open. As I lay on the floor I was deliberately focused on not caring how long it would take, but I remember at one point, wanting to see if I could get up, I opened my eyes and watched the dragon suspended over my head spin in the breeze for a few moments and then closed my eyes again. "Not yet."

After 10 minutes or so I spontaneously took a deep breath and the baby blues popped open on cue. I was rested and energetic. After a bit I went out for my attempt at a walk in the blustery wind.

That was it. A quiet settling of the forces. I can tell you it's the first time I've ever done something like that, for what it's worth.

Has anyone told Duggan we're doing this?
