Here are what two of my cobs look like after a month of curing in CO2. The one on the left and darker is ACE Zamaldelica and the lighter green one is ACE Kali China. I was surprised because the KC was moister than the Zam when they were cobbed and yet the dryer Zam looks like it cured more. The aromas are interesting: the KC has light earthy smell not at all like the minty smell from before. So Im waiting for that to change.

The Zamaldelica has a dank over ripe fruity smell, kind of hashy as well that is not unpleasant but definitely different than before. The colour is noticeably darker and reddish brown. Something that tweaked a memory. I remember decades ago opening a cob of Malawi Wowie and the colour was dark reddish brown if I remember correctly, great herb too. Apologies for the poor picture quality, my phone camera has a software problem.

Well my 3 GSC buds from earlier this week dried down pretty well to a total of 24g with some stem removed so I put into the cob. OF course, I used the foodsaver vacuum sealer to get one side of the bag double sealed and then added the squished and rolled budsickle to it...then the sealer stopped working! I just bought this last month unfortunately, but tried to get ama.z.on support to help (useless) so I just initiated an RMA to get it replaced. SO, I ended up rolling the bag up (it did remove some air, but didn't seal, but the sticky buds kept it closed and tight) and wrapped it tight with rubber bands and stuck it in the pot with the sous vide anyway so I didn't have to wait for the replacement device.

Nice looking buds, Snookie. Great job on the grow. Hopefully, they'll cure into something fun! Cheers

Well, apparently water can get in through any opening and decided to soak my cob.:(

Looks like it isn't too bad, as it didn't require me to squeeze the liquid out, but it was pretty wet. This is definitely not from the sweat. Gonna sit them out on the towel all day until no more moisture comes out. These look like dog shit for sure! LOL Not sure if they will cure. I won't be able to seal them up until I get my new foodsaver. :(

Lesson learned...don't put unsealed things under water.:straightface:

My white widow is at 4 days post "sweat" (I didn't remove it from the bag to dry, as it didn't look moist) and has been sitting on the router between 75-85F since.

Is it required to remove the cob from the vacuum bag (or whatever you use) after the sweat prior to curing? These did dry fairly well prior to cob so...

Also have the skunk cob which is a day older and also never removed.

CB Dream cob is finished fermenting although the bag was unsealed upon my return from holidays.

Then the main event. The good news is i made probably 350 Mulanje x Swaziland seeds. Another 150 Mulanje x Swaziland x CB Dream seeds. The bad news is I messed up their growth.

Here they are mid week 11 of flower. Gonna take a snip off one to dry and test it out. Not much can be done at this point.

Cobs looking good so far my friend the Mulanje looks ok as well seeds are always good brother.
Check out this Honduras x Panama cob its 12 months aged now a lovely spicy earthy pine smell and taste chewed.
I was trying to make the stringy rolling tobacco type cobs we used to score in Zimbabwe and it came out perfectly.
Very trippy euphoric racing type high just like i was shooting for.
Here is a slice off of a cob and the same slice broken open to reveal the stringy nature of this cure perfect for rolling joints I would love to just suck on an unlit joint just for the taste.

I opened up the white widow and skunk from 8 and 9 days ago (never opened previously after sweat) and they are looking and smelling wonderful! Will let them dry in the AC for an hour and then re-seal for a few months to age.

Skunk first:

Nearing the end of week 11. What do you think, keep letting them foxtail? I think the seed making took the stank out of them.

Mine were the same I think seeded switches them off but seeded buds are good as well they look ready to me.
Try a drier cure on the buds not too moist going in.
I have about 4 different dryness cures going on in my Mulanje cobs so far the drier ones are the standout but they have a long way to go before I can taste them.
I like at least 3 months aging but the longer the better 12 months is the best IMO.

Ok, I went ahead and broke up the cob making into two separate batches.

First batch was the shorter of the two, more black pepper smell, and I put that into cobs as fresh material. The small airy bud structure wasn't holding a lot of moisture. I figured. Worked out to around 140 grams wet material. I meticulously went through the buds and took out most of the burned tips or dried leaves.

I also have learned that my heat mat is a bit warmer and the sweat doesn't need to be 24 hours. This is after around 12 - 14. A nice colour, not too dark, letting these dry for a few hours before re-sealing and onto the wifi router.

These should dry / cure to about an ounce each.

The second batch is of a more haze or lemon smell. Amazing. I let these dry a bit as suggested. Rolled these into two smaller cobs and are now in the sweat. Both plants I kept some flower to smoke. I overachieved with seeds. Most of the branches had 1-3 seeds from random pollination. So the majority of bud is these pearly foxtails.

I have been messing around with 6 to 12 hour sweat but curing in warm 30 to 36c temps for 2 to 3 weeks its leaving them very terpy and colorful.
After 12 months aging the effects chewed are amazing. I have been loosing it big time lately, i think I'm loosing my sanity but it feels so good I cant stop haha.

I'm doing a little different (when I'm not screwing it up! lol). I let the cob from yesterday go about 25 hours at 41C and it's been at 31-32 today on the router. The cobs have not been sweating or getting much darker so I think they are too dry or it's sealed so well, there's no change due to being "in suspension." I also haven't opened the last few after sweating so they weren't adjusted from the tight vacuum. Could be something? I feel like the new vacuum sealer and bags are pretty tight...better than stuff I buy at the store...

Made a new cOB today with 21g of white widow that have dried down from 70g since monday (< 5days). It's been fairly dry here and warm (under 60% humidity and 42% today) but temp dropped 25F since yesterday too. Figured if I didn't get them done now, they'd be too dry and not get a good sweat. Into the sous vide @41C for a day!
