Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

At 9:15 I chewed a half gram of well-cured Carnival. Chewed for 5 minutes, swallowing minimally. At 5 minutes I took a small sip of a whole milk and blackstrap molasses drink I enjoy in the evenings and swished it in my mouth with the masticated plant material for a full 5 minutes before swallowing and washing it down with the rest of the milk drink.

Now we wait. :battingeyelashes:

At 10:40 I noted a shift in my perception of reality followed quickly with the urge to get the neglected sink load of dishes done and the kitchen cleaned. Classic signs of Carnival kicking in. Lol!

It didn’t last longer than an hour before I got tired enough to put the day to bed. Callanetics today and ushering a show took a toll on me tonight.

So yes, you can catch a buzz chewing a raw bud, but it’s not the same quality you’ll get with other administration methods.

See you all in the morning. :ciao:

Sleep refused to visit.

Lazyfish: I have... installed a window pane (or two) in the past. While definitely not the strongest such experiences I ever had, the fact that someone has made the comparison of cannabis to that is... heartening. Occasional tune-ups like that helped me pass as normal much of the time when I was younger for some reason, lol. Now that I am, at least, older (if no wiser) - and have learned through experience not to trust random basement chemists - I'm pretty much just a consumer of plant material. But like those who, upon reaching a certain age, sometimes decide to climb out of the race car... I do still like to go fast upon occasion ;) . So that's what I mean by "heartening."

I also noticed the mention of Zamaldelica in your next screenshot. Yes... I definitely have to grow that strain! To date, the only "bad" reports I have read about that one is that a few have found it to be a little too strong - and that's like being too rich, isn't it?

Sue: I haven't found myself running around looking for extra cash to score herb since before I entered high school. I didn't mean to give the impression that I'm a cannabis fiend, permanently "jonesing." It's just that IF I have it... It seems to go pretty quick (so to speak). I think I'm subconsciously trying to recapture my experiences with sativas of old, the "no ceiling" types, where the more you smoked, the higher you soared. And I have always dreamed of flying. . . .

Needle in a haystack:

I never understood that phrase, TBH. I mean... If you want to find a needle in a haystack, easy peasy. Set fire to it and sift the ashes  .

Now if someone were to say "needle in a huge pile of other needles," that'd be a chore. Or one specific grain of sand, upon one of the beaches on earth, when you aren't told which beach or even what that particular grain of sand looks like.

Sorry. Brain... thing. Back to bed, I am going, yes.

From the lab analisys, looks like cobbing actually increase THC levels, and possibly rest of cannabinoids too, because we're considerably reducing the volume at cobbing time; same amount of cannabinoids, more thouroughly decarbed, in a less volume of (compressed) matter.

I would be willing to do the testing.

In regard to strains high in CBG, try growing out Panama or Tikal from ACE. They post their test results on their website. One of the things their Panama mother is known for is high CBG, it has about 3%. I had a Tikal that tested at about 2% that I shared with them. A discussion came up about it in the ACE forum and they have found Central American sativas tend to be high in CBG. The old stoners here told me I took it too early that's why it was high in CBG. I disagreed, Tikal is an 11-13 week strain, mine went 18 weeks so I don't think it was because it was harvested early.

Zamadelica is possibly one of ACE's most trippier and savage sativas. Really distinctive plant, I cant tell them from a group of ten seedlings really easy, her leaves have an unique (striped, possibly from Golden Tiger parent) look.

For those looking into meds, ACE just released a strain that may be of your interest, Lebanese (sativa landrace) , with remarkable, higher than THC (6-16%) CBD content and ratios.

Breeders packs are gone, linked to it for more in depth information regarding the Parentals. Outdoors only, though. Really interesting line to produce autoflowering meds to grow in backyards...

Gonna pop some outdoors this summer here in Southern Spain and hopefully let them grow wild

A tip for those growing sativa landraces/hybrids: set light/night period to 11/13. ACE's flowering times are based on this. Otherwise flowering can take much, much more, specially with equatorial lines...

Thank you for that tip repuk, and good luck with the outdoor plot.

I came into a massive supply of Zameldelica seeds and crosses yesterday. Some of you may recognize Morglie’s genetic work.

Obviously more than I’ll ever grow, so if we have any interest you know how to find me. :battingeyelashes:

The DC cob lost 4 grams of water weight overnight.

I neglected to slice off a piece to test, and I didn’t want to damage the integrity of the shell going into the cure, so I won’t be testing this one for a week. It’s sealed and in storage. I’ll settle for Carnival brownie buzzes until then. Lol!

Who’s closest to harvest? Neiko, with that Carnival monster he’s growing? I’ll be honest, it’s the one I’m most excited about. Lol!

Stoney, you’re closer to harvest, aren’t you? MagicJim..... I can’t wait to see your first cob pictures. :battingeyelashes:

Gosh guys...I think this is the coolest thing we’ve found since I got here. Once we get past the initial experimenting with euphoria :yahoo: it’s gonna be exciting to learn to make it into therapeutic meds. When we figure out how to incorporate this into biobomb oils.......

TS! Sorry to hear you can't sleep. That is the worst! I am up early and now I can't sleep.... You got be laughing at the needle in a needle stack! You make a good point! I honestly had to google the "four way window pane" thing. I have had my fair share of trips but it was never something I was very into. Weed has always done me just fine. Maybe some beers sometime...

I only grew the Zamaldelica once - actually I have it to my dad and he grew it in a old hot greenhouse with no ventilation. The Z loved it. WHere I live it starts getting rainy and cold at about October 1. He probably saved it by leaving it in a hot greenhouse with no air or water.... HAHA.

I bought 6 Zamaldelica seeds this year but I really want to grow 10 or so Ultra Dog F2's and try my hand at breeding. The Z's still might be in the stars... my dad still had that old shitty greenhouse. hehe.

:green_heart:

!!!! Sue those seeds look amazing! That seems like a lot of water to lose overnight for just one cob. Tangwena has also said that they dry quick!

I will have a chew tomorrow of a three (or four) week old cob made from dry buds. After hearing from you last night that the plain dry bud when chewed have you a head change ( and what else?). This makes be wonder if there was a lot of THC/THCa conversion in your cured buds or if it helps to chew vs. just swallow whole. He also mentions eating them with wilk or cheese helps absorption by the body. I think it was Tangwena but it may have been someone else in the thread.

Good morning, SUE! :green_heart:

Good morning, SUE! :green_heart:

Morning lazyfish. :hug::green_heart:

Dumping the masticated buds into milky tea is an attempt to bond cannabinoids to the fat in the milk, but I'd bet you'll get the same effect by following the swallowed pulverized plant matter with some warm milk. The brief time soaking in the hot tea won't be enough to make any bonding happen IMHO.

About 30 minutes before a dose have some mango to clear the receptors, along with something fatty - coconut oil will work better than cheese, and so will dark meat chicken - to give the cannbinoids in the caldron of the stomach something to hook up to. Cheese takes too long to break down in the gut, giving the cannabinoids limited bonding access.

Medicinally, we use olive oil to bypass the first trip through the liver. Olive oil has molecules that get absorbed into the lymphatic system where all the inflammation is causing pain. For euphoria it's coconut oil, all the way.

Chewing initiates the buzz in the brain, THC firing up the pleasure centers. Through the gut you'll get the intensification to 11-hydroxy, which is that sweet buzz we seek that lasts for hours and hours. By holding it in the mouth for up to 20 minutes you allow more THC to be absorbed sublingually.

A really good resource for indoor sativa growing, Terpene's ACE (and other sats) Indoor Tricks

11/13 I was talking before should be there.

They're gonna hit you with a warning about the link repuk. It's forbidden to link other canna sites. So it doesn't get lost when they take it down, that's

Terpene's ACE (and other sats) Indoor Tricks.

THANK YOU! I realize that this sort of thing is certainly not free, so I appreciate the offer for more reasons than just the work involved.

Your Welcome. I want to do it for my sake as well.

Yes, I have seen some of their reports. That's one of the reasons why I wish they would become one of our sponsors. Another being that they seem to actively participate on the forums they sponsor.

ACE is a true professional breeding organization. I've grown more of their stuff than anybody else. You know you will get quality genetics every time.

Thanks for the information. Hey... ACE. Hmm. Isn't that the breeder of Zamaldelica? IIRC, I have a few seeds of that strain. IDK whether they are "from the breeder," a result of a selfing (intentional or otherwise), or if someone's Zamaldelica plant got pollinated by a different strain altogether. They were a gift from a... caregiver and the bag just states "Zamaldelica." But I have read good things about the strain, and would guess that it has the potential to press a few of my buttons.

Zamaldelica is from ACE and it's a powerhouse. I've grown it once and kept that for about year. Everyone loved it but me lol. People chase the Thai pheno of Z, I didn't get it but the one I got people loved for it's energy. It just made my face and head feel like it was plugged into an outlet it buzzed so hard. Morglie has the thai pheno and bred it so I may try some of his cross.

Did you harvest it (way) late, or did that just happen to be how long it took that particular plant/phenotype to fully mature? Ordinarily, I'd expect a lot of degradation and conversion of cannabinoids if a plant were harvested over a month late, but have experienced (many times, as I assume others have) actual flowering times to vary a good bit from breeders' descriptions, either because they couldn't seem to stabilize the strain to save their lives and, therefore, the phenotypes were all over the place, because the breeder counted the flowering period from the visible onset of flowers instead of the day the light schedule was switched, because the breeder was a bit "optimistic," because the breeder figured advertising a shorter flowering time would sell more product, or because ???.

That cut of Tikal was Haze dominate phenotype. I normally took it at 16 weeks but it is one of those sativas that just keep blooming. I let the one I tested go 18 weeks. ACE uses that test on their website to sell the tikal. There are 2 tests there, the one that says Neiko's Nuggs is mine. You can see a trichome shot. It was not taken early. They've also used my Zamaldelica and Bubba Hash results.

BtW, did you run a strict 12:12 light schedule in flowering? If so, do you recall exactly how long the flowering stretch period was, from the day you switched to flowering to the day the stretch ended?

I ran the tikal at 11.5/12.5 for about 12 weeks then cut the light down to 11/13. 11.5/12.5 is my normal light schedule. The stretch lasted 18 days and is fierce. I flowered it at 24" untopped and it ended up at 7'. A multi topped plant flowered at 24" grew to about 5.5'.

Hey Sue the problem link is still active in your quote in post 432

Managed to get my hands on a few rather
small and shrivelly corn husks yesterday so I wrapped up a cob.
This is the Thai leaning Golden Tiger pheno that I love ❤️ So Much.

I decided to just do the one cob for now. Then at the end I decided to also make a mini-cob with all the smaller GT buds. Sacrilege maybe, the mini-cob, but wtf.
Normally I'd put more love into the appearance here but also wtf. I have a cold and was in a hurry. :)

I want to do a few more cobs when I get more time and corn husk. I have a few ounces each of Honduras and Panama that I'd like to rehydrate and try this with. I found both these strains have more of a certain type of indica high to them which I didn't really like (cloudiness, munchies, etc). Maybe the cobbing would alter the high of those strains for the better.

Threw these ones in the torture chamber last night -at 40° where they've been ever since.

Usually, when you have an actual title like that, you can find a thread or article without requiring a site reference. IOW, I just did a web search for "Terpene's ACE (and other sats) Indoor Tricks" and the one in question was the first result. Tip for... coloring within the lines ;) .
