Tales From The Krip!

Very nice my brother. After a few outdoor grows its nice to raise a plant at "hi noon" for 12 hours at a time. It's almost cheating. I started my tent on the 30th, Dec 1, will be 8 weeks. We are pretty close in our tents.

Cheers

Thanks, Bro! I'd love to be able to grow outdoors, but it's not feasible where I am so I have to settle for a bunch of fruits & veggies outside. I'm anticipating a harvesting around Dec 10th, so we're very close!

Thanks Krip! I’m doing a big strip today to give them a day to recoop before flip! I’ll post my before and after photos!

Here's a couple of pics. Now that we've had two weeks of stretch, I need to get back in there and take it another few inches higher! ;)

QUICK PIC UPDATE - 2 WEEKS OF 12/12

On the veg side, the Forbidos clone did root and get planted yesterday, so, now it's just a matter of being able to maintain them for the next 60 days, or so.

It's been two weeks of 12/12 so the girls should be just about done with their stretch. The White Widow finally is poking above the trellis and the Blackwater has all four colas over the trellis with the tallest cola being as tall as any of the other plants, so it caught up nicely and is doing a great job of taking up the extra space.

Now, we've got buds as far as the eye can see in there & the only think I like better than a packed bong is a packed tent! :thumb:

Here is another bunch of random pics starting with a front-on view of the tent:

Thanks, Bro! Yessir...All HB soil, now. Finally made the move from hydro! :ganjamon:

Nice man i havent even started my first grow other then starting to cook some soil lol. But im considering the full switch as well. I jus wana use up as much of my advanced nutes as possible. Since i jus ordered a new batch of the ph perfect conniseur nutes last month an just opening them a week ago. So they are barely even touched dnt wana waste it ya no. But after i use them up ill be full on hibrix im pretty sure lol.

Soil is very forgiving vs hydro, but ph's are a bit higher for feeding. Mr Krip doing quite well as usual however he grows. Soil just requires patience, let it do its thing and you will yield well.

Cheers

Oh boy ur not kidding. I started off with los growing so never had to mess with the ph till i went to hydro for first time. An holy shiz did i screw up the first few girls till i got led to advanced nutes ph perfect. Then after i started getting good enuf results tht i felt comfortable enuf to jump to the conniseur nutes n started getting even better results. Once i cud adjust the different nutrients more individually i started to notice the biggest difference altho i dont understand why every1 kept sayn to make sure to get a few grows b4 jumping to the conniseur nutes like they wud be harder to use or sumthn idk but they are simple as hell jus mix an dump and dnt forget to set ur air pump on a dofferent plug in then ur timer so all of a sudden ur plants dont die off from lack of oxygen lmao that happend to me my first hydro attempt

WHITE WIDOW GETTING WHITE & BLACKWATER GETTING TALL!

After only 15 days of 12/12, the White Widow looks like she's just starting to show some trichomes making her the first to do so even though she was put in at least a few weeks, or more, after the two Tuts & Fruit Punch. Hopefully, it's a sign that she lives up to her strains reputation! :yummy:

Here are a few pic's, but not easy to see the trich's, yet. You can see the white forming on the inside of the leaves around the buds:

The Blackwater, which was the last to go in, now has the tallest cola of the lot, and it's thick & beautiful! I may consider running another BW next round instead of another FP:

Happy Harvests!

EDIT: Looking at that last Blackwater pic, it looks like trichs are just starting to form there, too, but not quite as noticeable as on the WW.

PLANNING THE DRY & CURE

I've been trying to decide how I'm gonna dry & cure all these buds. I threw out my old DIY drying box with odor control when I had the house construction going on and, even if I built another, I don't think it will be big enough to do the job.

In addition, I really don't have much space, either to setup my old 2'x4' tent to do the drying, or in the refrigerator for a "low & slow" dry, which I've been wanting to try.

So, I just ordered a 2'x3'x5' grow tent. I'm going to try to set it up right next to the flower tent, if I can squeeze it in. I'll then run some ducting from the flower tent to the dry tent and let the carbon scrubber pull the air from the drying tent into the flower tent.

By adjusting the openings on BOTH tents, I should be able to control how much airflow is going through the drying tent. Close the vents on the drying tent and open them on the flower tent to reduce the air in the drying tent, and do the opposite to increase the airflow.

Both tents have a port in the top where I'll connect the ducting. This should force the air up through the buds in the drying tent and bring the air into the top of the flower tent right where the carbon scrubber is. So, I'm pretty sure I can do this without the humidity getting too high in the flower tent and causing budrot there, which is my biggest concern with this strategy.

If it doesn't look like it will work once I get it setup, I'll get add a 2nd carbon scrubber/fan to the drying tent, but, I think I can get away with NO power to the drying tent since it doesn't need lights and can use the fan in the flower tent.

I have some 5 gallon food-grade buckets I'll use, with some turkey bags, for the cure.

This whole strategy now has me re-thinking how I can get the breeding program started. Not sure it makes sense to do another custom cabinet when I have two more grow tents available, but again, it's a matter of space & stealth.

I don't want males throwing pollen in a tent sitting right next to my flower tent, but possibly can use the new tent for veg and the current veg cab for the breeding, so I'll need to give this some more thought before I make the final decisions.

Happy Harvests!

That's how you know your a baller, gotta figure out a way to dry your product because you don't have enough space.

Yeah, I guess of all the growing problems to have, that's just about the best one!

Well, you might be a grower if...... You turn wife's /child's Closet into a dry room.:laugh:
I'm sure you'll figure it out.
The ladies look beautiful as always. :welldone:

Sounds like a proper solution Krip! I do,encourage you to try low and slow even if it's just a few bags worth. Then you'll go out and buy one of those small fridges just for low and slow! They're pretty inexpensive and you can find one even cheaper on CL. You're gonna love low and slow, guaranteed! :yummy::yummy:

Plants trimmed nicely under canopy. Your girls look about as far a long as my Red Diesel. What size pots are you using? They look large. Having 2, outdoor seasons under my belt I know have a better understanding of pot size vs plant size. But you trim yours well and do not over grow your space. It took me a few runs to figure the right fit in my tent. I'm loving the circumference you get on your grow, I do not veg that long in my space, it's run and gun.

Great job,

Cheers
