Tales From The Krip!

Now ditchweed,, I seen tons of that,, it was runaway plants from the Hemp farms. WW2 you were exempt from the draft if you farmed hemp,, you family was exempt too. They had some of the biggest hemp farms up in northern Ind. But they did away with the hemp when synthetics made their presence know. They did away with the hemp farms,,, but they couldn't kill off that cute little weed.. Then they drove away,, we just smiled,, sitting on that sack of seeds..

Naw but an oz of ditch weed was loaded with more headaches and seeds pound of low grade commercial Mexican weed was.

Thanks Guys! :thanks:

Yes, this is my first kit grow and I am very impressed with how easy it is and how incredibly healthy the plants are. Brother @weenmeoff knows that I rarely say "never" but I sure don't see myself getting off the kit anytime soon and I'm really looking forward to sampling some of these home-grown HB meds!

Actually, this might make several of us smile....

Remember when homegrown weed was synonymous with INFERIOR quality?
Not inferior now, were bringing the term homegrown back like Jesus on good Friday!

Angry Bird...pretty cool to see you back around. You gonna stay now?
Still working on passports, read in my nest thread, I keep everybody updated on the news. Looks like Dec. Is month of leaving

QUICK UPDATE - BLACKWATER RISING & YIELD PER SQUARE

As of this morning, the Blackwater is officially taller than the WW. I think because it only has those four colas from the UBT while the WW is developing multiple colas, she was able to grow quicker. And, the stalks on the Blackwater colas are really thick (same with the Fruit Punch!) so I'm hoping she'll be supporting some heavy buds.

Also, I found a new metric for my grow space which is grams per square! Not square inch or square foot, etc. - just square! :D

The trellis netting has 36 total "squares". Currently, it looks like I'll have at least one cola in each square (once the WW & Blackwater reach the trellis) and many of the squares will have multiple colas. Tut #1 is occupying 20 of the 36 squares, right now, and is in some of the same squares as Tut #2.

If I can average 1/2 oz. per square, that would be 18 oz. I think that's actually doable with the current plants! Some of the squares may only have a single cola, but most have multiple, so perhaps the yield will be better than I thought and I can get closer to 20+ oz? :hmmmm:

That would be nice! :yahoo:

Whatever the yield, I'm happy just to have a harvest coming again, finally, and very happy with the way the plants are performing in the kit.

Happy Harvests!

I found a jar of buds I had stashed from my last harvest, which was something like 16 months ago. It's some Blue Diesel and after curing for this long, it's some pretty good smoke. Terps are great, but smoke isn't that smooth. I trimmed up the largest bud to see if I could get some good pics for NOTM and, while I didn't get anything I would consider worthy of NOTM, I thought I'd post the pics here:

QUICK PIC UPDATE

The girls all look incredible! They got a GE last night and had a nice growth spurt by this morning, so maybe they'll actually get some good stretch in. Blackwater has one cola over the net and another right at net level. There's been almost no stretch on the White Widow.

No trichomes showing yet, but getting a very unique floral smell from the Tuts. :yummy:

Here are a bunch of random pics as of today:

WW has never had alot of stretch to her..... Girls look great there Mister K GL

Thank you, Brother! Yeah, that WW has barely budged in 8 days of 12/12. I'd like to see her get herself over that net soon. It will be a nice green "carpet" once she does!

Those Tuts really smell unique. It took me quite a while to figure out what it was and the closest I can come is "floral". It's definitely not earthy, fruity, skunky, diesely, piney, or pissey so not sure what's left!

Man you really know how to pack those plants in there! Those Tuts are some big girls. The only White Widows I have seen stretch tended to be the airy, hairy phenos and were not as good as the less stretchy, dense and frosty phenos. They also tended to flower longer.

Around here Home Grown was preferred for a long while. You either knew someone that grew or you smoked seedy commercial weed. We then started getting Beesters and other "dank". Home Grown was typically as good or better than Beesters but not quite as good as "dank". That is unless of course you could find dank home grown lol.

Yeah, I learned how to pack a tent from @PotChimp . He says to just keep kicking the pots until they either fit, or you hear the back of the tent rip!

I saw that the other night when you posted it. FYI, I would not really consider it a SCROG screen since the openings in the netting should be about 1/4th the size. It's more of a trellis netting, but it does help and will work well for you since you were able to install it long after a SCROG screen would have been installed! :thumb:

Thanks, Sara! :thanks:

The two Reflector 144's are perfect for the tent and a bonus is the color matches the trim on the tent and the poles!

Check out the light in foreground and pole in background ;):
