Tales From The Krip!

Drive-by Mister Krip;;;;

Killer you ever want a great tasting strain,, have you ever grown or been around Super Lemon Haze from GHS... The plant has to be one of the best smelling and tasting strains I ever worked with..

I'm wary about all them crazier priced seeds. A person don't have to spend a hundred plus to get a pack of good solid seeds. There are alot of 'Old School' strains that still can't be beaten. I'm not knocking them,, and I've seen some cool strains from IHG,, just some breeders are really sticking it to peoples with their prices. Seed buying can become addictive........... I just try to keep the price of my next fix down to a reasonable price......

I actually have some slh beans, was hesitant to grow them before I increased my tent size. Interesting, might grow them out now...

The ethos beans aren't too pricey, 100$ for 6 fem. I get what you mean though have a hard time pulling the trigger on that lol, but the bean addiction is real.

Another grower gave me an Ethos clone he was all excited about so I took it. It's called Terpwin something which I think is a cookie cross. I'll grow it out and see but I'm not a huge fan of cookies either. I'm with Norcaliwood, I'd prefer to find the special old school strains like that Hindu Kush that Mrs. Van Stank grew. That's a beauty.
Don't get me wrong I like the new stuff too but I'm not going to spend $200-$300 for a pack of fem seeds. All but 1 of the In house strains I've grown were freebies or gifted clones.

I know I have SLH on my next shopping spree....... Don't let the Haze in the name scare ya,, it is a manageable plant with a topping or two. Should double in size by the finish. A solid yield of good solid weed. I'd give it an 8.5 outta ten. Mind that I've never seen a 10 outta 10 myself...

Me I'm one of them tightwad buyer who gets alot of single seeds and shops with the freebies in mind..

DAY #6 of 12/12 UPDATE

The girls in the tent have now been under 12/12 for 6 days and all are looking happy & healthy.

The three original plants, the two Tuts and the Fruit Punch, are all at about the same canopy height sitting just a few inches above the netting. The two plants put in much later, the White Widow and the Blackwater, are both now the same height sitting just a few inches below the netting. The White Widow is much more filled out since she vegged for several weeks and the Blackwater basically went in as a well-rooted clone.

The stretch, so far, has been much less than I was anticipating, but we'll see what happens over the next week.

The nodes are stacked tight on all the plants, except the Blackwater which has a much greater distance between nodes in her race to flower. If those buds put on some weight, I should get a decent yield (estimating about 15 oz) but nowhere near the potential. Once I get a handle on the stretch of these strains and can get four full-size plants developed, I should be able to close to double that.

I tried to get some pics of what I saw when I opened the tent this morning, but the blurples just don't photograph the plants well, so I've got some more with the lights out using the flash:

Here's the view of the tent from the side windows:

VISITOR TO THE OUTDOOR GARDEN

I was just checking the outdoor fruit & veggie garden and heard a little rustling up in a neighbor's tree and spotted this Cuban Knight Anole. Many people think it's an iguana, and we do have lots of those down here, but the Anoles aren't quite as big and have those white/yellow stripes along their sides. It's really an awesome looking lizard and wish I could have gotten better pics, but it was a little high up in the tree.

Gorgeous plants Krip! They look very happy. Will this be your 1st HB harvest?

Thanks Guys! :thanks:

Yes, this is my first kit grow and I am very impressed with how easy it is and how incredibly healthy the plants are. Brother @weenmeoff knows that I rarely say "never" but I sure don't see myself getting off the kit anytime soon and I'm really looking forward to sampling some of these home-grown HB meds!

Actually, this might make several of us smile....

Remember when homegrown weed was synonymous with INFERIOR quality?

You're going to love your HB harvest, it will be a game changer.
I do remember homegrown being a term used for ditch weed. Now it's preferred over the dispensary weed.

That's a good looking garden there Mister Krip. And now in that lizard,,, you got something to eat any praying mantis you got out there................

Ah the mean green days... But back then most homegrown did suck........... Unless you knew the right Hippy.. Was afew growing sensie back when.. But it wasn't mainstrean...

Just Mean Green or Homegroannnnn...
