Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL - LED

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

I still have most of the herb I grew stored in jars with Bovedas, some as old as 20 months now. I have to get 'em all out (30+ jars) and check 'em one day, but whenever I do pull one out for a sample, it's always especially aromatic and the buzz never disappoints. They're stored in dark or dim light at lower room temp (on the floor, in a cabinet, etc.). I've always taken the espoused wonders of a good cure with a grain of salt, believing that no good can come from long-term storage, but I'm seeing for myself now, and I find the way terpenes change to be pretty darned interesting.

For one thing, as Dutty pointed out, many terpenes act as carriers and enhancers because they have the ability to attach to neural receptor sites themselves. So they can work in concert with cannabinols to create an effect. We know that they mature and change in a cure, and that the character of a high often changes, too. I think some of the claims of a better high after a cure is from the way the terpenes change. Sometimes it makes the high better, even if the total THC measures lower.

I was on of those idiots Duggs about 15 years ago. You cant increase once chopped. It's game over then no overtime production on resin has stopped. (go Wisconsin)

Where did you read this I'd like to go drop some knowledge
Thanks Dutty....ya your right ...it was about 15 yrs ago ,or longer ,even. It was an old grow book....maybe Ed's or another from that era. i always thought of it that way.....once it's chopped ,that's it , all thc development stops. Where did they? and how come they believe this then Dutty? I know that after it completely De-carboxylate's (spelling?) so the water molecule is gone it does change things cuz thc doesn't become psycoactive till it loses it's water molecule. Dunno bud.Maybe that's what they mean ,Cheers ...Duggs.

Dutty, speaking of roots...do you know anyone if they use the roots and for what? theyve been used throughout history...

Other than old roots feeding the soil... Never thought of it. Interesting.

That's a very perceptive observation Greytail. I hadn't considered it like that before. So much to learn. Carry on.:laughtwo:

One of the major concerns with a dialysis patient is a drop in albumen levels - the indicator of usable protein in the system. Protein is necessary for healing and many kidney failure patients also suffer with diabetes, which often brings with it the dreaded pressure sores and ulcers. We've seen up close and way too personal the devastating results of poor healing ability. At this point Dale's albumen levels are the worst they have ever been. This section from the article 420Pursuit posted the link to caught my eye.

"Hemp Protein is Healthy Protein

Protein is a third nutritional need of the human body. The protein in most plants is difficult to digest; in comparison, Cannabis protein is easy to digest. In a study published in 2010 in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry that compared the Protein-Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid (PDAAS) scores, hemp seed protein scored higher than most nuts, grains and legumes. Hemp seed protein was a more bio-available protein that also offered anti-fatigue and immune-enhancing effects. A 2008 study showed that mice were able to sustain longer activity levels after being fed hemp protein.

Hemp seed protein contains sixty-five percent edestin protein. This is a complete protein that resembles albumin manufactured by our bodies. Albumin is the precursor amino acid molecule to make immunoglobulins, the body's disease-fighting antibodies. These albumin edestin protein precursor molecules make it easier for our immune system to do its job of protecting us from foreign invaders of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Hemp is consumed in many ways. The whole seeds have a nutty flavor when roasted. The roasted seeds can be ground or crushed and sprinkled on salads or sandwiches. A delicious alternative to a plain grilled cheese sandwich is one with roasted Cannabis seeds sprinkled inside. Hemp milk is made from hulled seeds and extracted with water. The solution rich with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids is creamy, like milk, and can be used in baking instead of dairy milk, poured onto cereal or used in coffee drinks and fruit smoothies. Hemp protein powder can also be added to that fruit smoothie and will give it a nutty taste."

So, this amazingly curative plant is NOT legal because ..........?

Big pharma not getting paid.

You got it. My greatest concern is that the pharmaceutical firms will buy the right to be the only ones able to grow and market cannabis. You can bet your life they're working on that right now. Sorry - conspiracy theory on the loose. Catch it!! Quick!!! :laughtwo:

People in the late 90's were soaking the rootball while drying trying to create more potency doesn't work.

If you have a ed Rosenthal or Jorge cervantes book both will confirm what I've stated.

Psychoactive change has zero to do with thc content at chop.

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

Why do labs test for activated thc of flowers? I understand testing it for edibles or concentrates because it's been decarbed, but what causes decarboxylation during curing? Why do labs mention decarboxylation during storage (curing)? Let me know if I should take this question elsewhere sue.

Ed rosenthal and Jorge Cervantes are both myth pushing hydro model salesman. I use their books for toilet paper.

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

It's because of HT mag and people like that that so many people believe cannabis needs to be grown with bottled nutrients, and that cannabis has special feeding requirements, different from your average vegetable. These guys are guilty of war crimes on the SFW.
