How cool is that! Wow. :) I fix all my electrical stuff but I have a background in it, I build boutique guitar tube amps as a hobby and I have an electrical engineering degree. This post about safety is good. I always solder wires together never just crimp and I always over size my wires as well.

Question for LED users: I have this panel 27" (?) above my little seedling. Should I be safe with that? I noticed DrZiggy keeps his 459W 3-4' away from germinating seeds, which is what prompted my question.

Nice looking LED, Thank you Doc and other 420Mag members for your generosity. SweetSue definitely can do some great things with these new supplies, LED, etc. What a great place 420 Mag is - love it! :Love:

I'm gonna have to look into this LED thing again for power savings over time verses price, last time I looked they were just beginning to come out and the price was too high for me and I chose 1000W HPS. I might build one if I find the price diff works out. Thats for research later.

I'm relaxing with beautiful sweet aroma filling the house I'm at 4 weeks Sunday.

I was checking out the MOTM thread and got really excited. No, I'm not winning. :laughtwo: Jaga is rightfully pulling away from me. What excited me was the increase in active members voting. This is the overriding goal of that thread - to get more members involved. Well done 420 community. Let's keep this level of excitement and involvement going in the months ahead. :Love:

Sue what model number is that Dorm Grow G8 LED light? I want to do research and I figure I'd start with that one. :)

It's a 450W Veg/Bloom. Nice light.

Please let it be known that I am delighted to have helped, but I'm not the only benefactor here. Another wishes to remain anonymous, as I would have except for the labels. It's semi-obvious that I sent it, but please understand that there are other people here far more generous than I.

Sue I'm so stoked there not a more deserving person of all ur recent surprises I'm really happy for you and hope it helps u grow the best medicine possible for your hubby I'm really jealous now not only did u get the light I like but a highbrix kit also lol I'm happy for you and can't wait to see what ur next harvest looks like I bet it delicious happy growing sue and positive vibes to you and your husband Im going with house and garden this time but I'll be joining you all in the high brix world next and a very nice cool gesture of you doc thats what our community should be all about we are tight knit group here on 420 and I think thats the reason we sometimes get a few trolluing haters in the mix bcuzz they prolly belong to a lesser forum and are jealous of the family type community we have here well keep it green sue and I don't know to much about LEDs but from what I ve seen u might wanna raise it up or hold off till the get a Lil more prominant and ready to withstand the higher light output but thats just an estimation idk for sure

Before I call it a day I had to stop and share. The entire day with Dale was laid back and comfortable. Since I started taking him buds to smoke he's on a more even keel. After all, he was the reason I grew all that. This was a wonderful day filled with much laughter. Dale's brother and wife stopped later in the day and drove me home, with a stop for dinner out and sparkling conversation. Good family who knew I needed just a little bit of "normal" in my topsy-turvy life.

It was good to laugh so much with him again. Its how we survive this craziness and has been our MO all along. Finally admitting that our lives are forever changed by this event released a lot of pent up tension and frustration. It feels like we can breathe easier. We figured out how to comfortably sit side-by-side on his tiny bed. These rooms aren't designed for cuddling. I've probably said that before. We're learning to be more creative. :Love:

All day long I thought about the changes ahead for my tiny closet. There was a lot of smiling today. Still is.

Thank you all for being part of this. What fun we'll have. So much to learn. :laughtwo::green_heart:

Sweetsue, you should follow Docs whats he just suggested. Hes experienced using that exact light :) He's speaking from years of experience of grows, & lets not even begin to figure how many people he's met and evolved with around this amazing plant. Hes a 'Professor' (best Professor I ever had, and Ive had many) :)
Me? Im now in first grade..I graduated myself last year. ;)
