SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

You might look into something called intermittent fasting for ketosis because it seem to me you often do it anyway. There's different ways to do it, but many people just only eat between certain hours, or only when they're actively hungry. It's a powerful healing tool (doing wonders for me). One of the things it does is encourage a process called autophagy (look that up for some fun reading!). 3 meals a day ain't necessarily essential!

.

I've been riding the edge of ketosis for over 35 years! :thumb: It works for me. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I learned it from Dr. Linus Pauling, may God rest his soul. :Namaste:

Found some really neat stuff this morning I wanna share over on the path thread! But wanted to stop and wish you and your plants an awesome week SUE!!! ✌

Awesome! Seriously - for the last year, until about 2months ago, i have been unwell to bedridden/housebound (50/50). We've tried many treatment and approaches, was on a heap of supplements, herbs etc (many of the effective treatments are what you might call "off the reservation"). About 8months ago I'd had enough of the pain killers (not oxy thank goodness) and sleeping medication making me fat and crave carbs so I allowed myself to smoke Cannabis again: praise it! Hardly ever pain killers now and no sleeping pills at all. Cannabis and the recent oil making is part of that for sure. But the fibro pain, and neuro immune problems persisted at varying levels of debility until I started the intermittent fasting. Literally within 2-3 days (after the first 36hr fast) everything diminished to about 40% of previous. It was a revelation. The most effective and cheapest treatment I've tried! Still have a long way to go, but there's no way I would've been able to manage growing in the state I was in 3-4months ago, so there's been a massive change. I take many fewer supplements now too. Also, once fasting (I do 24-36hr 3 times a week - there's many variations), shifting carbs and sugars out of the diet becomes really easy. I've lost a kilo a week (and I needed to - prev. medications...) and I wasn't even thinking about weight. Ok I'll leave my fasting 'zealotry' here...

Looking very healthy in here sue. I love your pictures dear. I’m making coconut oil in my MB2 as I write this. 67 grams of bud got decarbed this morning. Smells so delightful!

Whoa! :thedoubletake: Are we having fun yet? :cheesygrinsmiley:

I made my infused oil with 65 grams (seeded buds), 1 TBS Lecithin and ~350 ml EVOO. Stuff works.

Great looking buds there Grandpa....looking really special. :goodjob:

I wish I had 65 grams to work with. I'm making a batch with 35 grams of CBD CC and 175 ml of EVOO. I'll be increasing production of the chemovar somehow. We're increasing the daughter's dose again, so demand is up. As it is I'm already deferring my doses to keep her in stock, but I have many more options than she does.

Oh yeah - it’s Carnival in the sponsored tent! So many tents, I lose track. ;)
Well she’s looking swell too! (But you can see how I thought ‘holy moley!’ thinking the CBD CC was where the carnival was at!

Looking forward to watching my CBD CC grow up under the sun. Still contemplating my options re topping or supercropping or letting it just be and see what shape it takes.... decisions...

.

Is this the first one you've grown outdoors? It might be insightful to let her go natural before you start playing around with training. I always tell myself to do that, but I have a mad compulsion to top at least once. :laughtwo:

I've been out most of the day Dabber. I'll swing by The Path to see what delights you left me. :hugs: May your week be as awesome as mine and more. :battingeyelashes:

I'll be looking into this. As I get older I've begun to realize the benefits of occasional fasting. I hate a routine. It's all those years of keeping a diabetic under control...........

My grandfather once prepared himself for a 45-day fast. At the end his gray hair turned jet black, it's original color, and he said his spiritual clarity was never better. It changed his life. I've yet to find the fortitude or inclination to undertake something that committed. Intermittent fasting I can work with.

Letting go of the sugar addiction will be the most beneficial move I can make. The thing is, I'm a practitioner of Callanetics, a fitness program that took my aging and creaky joints and tired muscles and rejuvinated them. Now I move with the freedom and flexibility of a much younger woman and have improved bone density and delicious energy flow. That kinds spoils me against anything even remotely smelling like deprivation.

Had an interesting conversation the other day with a cannabis lifestyle coach about the 20-30 extra pounds I keep hanging on to, and she asked "Does carrying around this extra weight keep you from finding joy in your life, or hold you back from doing what you want in your life?"

I explained the burst of laughter by telling her who SweetSue was. :laughtwo: She looked me up as I told her "If you had to break my online persona down into one word, it'd be joy, so the answer is no, my life is rich to overflowing."

We decided I wasn't the type of candidate they were looking for. :cheesygrinsmiley: I was more interested in feeling the program out than anything else, so that decision wasn't a disappointment to either one of us. We left the conversation sharing contact information. Turns out she works in a consulting capacity with the company that produces the Nova decarboxylator and the company that produces the tCheck.

She was intrigued to learn that our 420 team had been the ones to alert tCheck to the glitch in their program. The revelation lifted our stature a little more.

Small world, isn't it?

Jarring it up: Dark Slide

Two weeks after harvest and her buds checked in at 60% RH.

Better than a half ounce. :laughtwo: I'll do better with the next one. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_55096.JPG

This little bud was my tester. She's potent, I'll give her that. Smokes smooth and flavorful, with a sparkling clean bong. Nothing foggy about the buzz. I went out and spent time with the girls, then walked 3.5 miles like I normally do. I'll take a couple days to get to know the chemovar before I do a smoke report. I'm looking forward to getting the Kind vaporizer so I can really taste the terpenes again.

Every bud is covered in frost. electro gypsy named his seed company Tribute Medicinal Gardens, and I was thinking today that the medicine we grow is in the trichomes, so it's nice to have chemovars to that grow them in copious numbers. This strain met that challenge. She was a good oil producer, the prime requisite for a medicinal garden.

IMG_55119.JPG

The rest went into the jar with a Boveda pack. Let the cure begin. :slide: Low and slo, two weeks in the fridge in paper bags and in the jar. Can't beat that.

IMG_55349.JPG

Ahhh........it's been a long day. I need some music and some good cannabis. Think I'll dig into the Dark Slide again and see if smoking it in the evening slides me into bed earlier so I can finish catching up. This getting up at 7 AM to open curtains is taking a toll on my lazy behind.

I'll wander over to the Path and check up on Dabber first, then do some visiting. See you out there. :ciao:

Good morning everyone

Starting the day with a Dark Slide wake 'n bake. :slide: Wait...... Let me take a few and get back....... RoorRip

I love doing these test runs for a few days.

Greetings from a smoke-filled room. I wrote the line above about 20 minutes ago. Then I got lost with a Dark Slide bud and a camera. :laughtwo: This particular chemovar may be too distracting for me to be smoking in the daytime. Lol! This was the best I could capture with the iPhone this morning.

IMG_554112.JPG

Dripping in oil. One of the ways I determine the medicinal value is the amount of smoke the chemovar generates. My reasoning is the more oil, the more smoke. When you're growing for medicine you're looking for chemovars that create clouds. :laughtwo: Most of what I grow over here at SweetSue's Oil Works is heavy in oil production. Lol! This chemovar fits right in.

Incidentally, I noticed I had a dyslexic moment yesterday and switched the gypsy's company name around. I've asked Mr. Teddy to make the edit for me since I missed it yesterday. I'm not often dyslexic, but every once in a while......... One of my many charms. :battingeyelashes: Tribute Medicinal Gardens gifted me with more than a few chemovar genetic packages to play with. Next time I'll try something different.

I think the BIL will like this one more than I will. I have some running around to do and a concert to usher tonight. I'll be switching to Carnival soon. Think I'll try the shopping run on Dark Slide, get another feel for it. That worked well yesterday, and I am enjoying the euphoric experience. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I can't leave you without a picture of at least one of the girls. Hmmm.....

The kit in action. Malawi is coming into the harvest window and the Jamaican is growing more stunning by the day.

IMG_55449.JPG

I swear, I'll learn to photograph this chemovar. :laughtwo:

IMG_554510.JPG

The Jamaican ..... :dreamy:

IMG_554614.JPG

Did that help kick up your joyfulness? Good......my work is done. :laughtwo: I'm out the door in a couple moments. I'll drop off some of the Dark Slide on my way out, see what the BIL thinks of it. Get out there yourself and find a way to share that joy we cultivate around here while growing some of the best cannabis on the planet. :blunt:

Later, my friends. :ciao:

Happy humpday sue!! I love it dark slide . So fitting. Beautiful sativa strains you have there. The energetic chemovars . Arctic bowl gifted me a Lilly and I'm very excited for the pure sativa to be in the garden!

Hope you day is filled with joy and positive vibrational energy girl.

Tonight's show is rodrigo gabriela. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Congrats Sue.. Good to see things going well over here... I grew a Purple Orange CBD plant that was off the hook as far as trichome production. Stuff was crazy coated with them,, but didn't get me high.. I think I still have a half oz of it. I used it for budder and seem to work alittle better than some other batchs. I'm the hardest to judge anything seeing I don't get a buzz much anymore.

But plants are looking beautiful......... I see we have another person spewing crap......... Never let anything a fool says bother you...

Stay down with your bad azz and Keepem Green

The Purple Orange CBD wasn't supposed to get you high Woody. It's for healing, particularly good for any inflammation and useful for treating cancer.

Incidentally, inflammation covers a wide range of things like arthritis pain, skin disorders, mental health issues, digestive distress, to name a few. CBD is an incredible medicine.

Are you aware that I used the picture of your winning plant to start the CBD Joy community grow journal? I'd bet you've never seen it. Yours was the eye-catcher I needed to draw them in the door.

You'll find it here -

Aaah, nice to know the source of that photo .. Lovely plant/nugs NCW!

Enjoy the gig Ssue ;)

Edit: just to say - thanks sue for reintroducing that plant to the conversation. I've just looked it up (and seen NCW pics of one growing) and that sounds like absolutely my kind of plant. It's top of the list for summer 2018/19 - I like to plan ahead ... ;) ... perfect

In the short time we've been acquainted you've come to know me well Dabber. You see sides of me others shy away from. I like that courage. And yes, my days begin with the vibration of joy and pick up speed from there. :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone

Wow! That was a great show. She had me jumping up and down and dancing to the music all evening. As a duo they're incredible. Watching them get lost in the music was sheer delight. It's difficult to imagine anyone not getting excited at one of their concerts.

He mentioned they'll be taking a break from touring to create studio art for the ears, so I was particularly blessed in timing. Not that I'm surprised...I have a diligent team of cosmic forces doing all they can to make my life more enjoyable. My part is so simple it's almost laughable - get really, really happy about whatever I'm doing and feel for inspiration. Then act in that inspiration without question.

See what I mean? So simple people don't dare believe it works. No effort. No "I have to do this! I have to make this happen!" Just a steady stream of inspired actions that seem like logical choices and feel good. Oh, what fun I'm having being deliberate about the thoughts I choose to entertain. :slide: How accommodating the universe became when I stopped trying so hard.

Took me almost 64 years to figure this energy out. Learn from my stumblings and get there faster. :cheesygrinsmiley:

On topic joy: :battingeyelashes:

Carnival 4.4, I think we call this stretching. Lol!

IMG_55685.JPG

Back under control.

IMG_55697.JPG

IMG_55707.JPG

She's filled the tent wall-to-wall. Now she's tackling verticle space.

IMG_55717.JPG

And doing it beautifully. :dreamy:

IMG_55727.JPG

Next door CBD Critical Cure 2.6 is really ramping it up. Only those who've grown the chemovar will understand the effect her perfume has every time the tent is opened. I stop here with regularity to catch a whiff.

IMG_55737.JPG

I'm still new to growing the chemovar in hempy, and I'm seeing very different structures. Hempy goes leggier and the branches aren't as strong. I'll be needing support for these very soon, like in maybe today. :laughtwo: You see I've already begun wiring the branches to each other. I'm thinking a few bamboo poles like I did with the Candy Cane.

IMG_55747.JPG

I'm thinking a system for watering that allows me to leave them sitting right where they are would be optimal. The neurons are churning away, feeling through options. Something will present itself and I'll start rigging it up.

IMG_55788.JPG

I like this one plant to a tent idea more and more every day. Look how much happier they are.

IMG_55797.JPG

I've been posting for hours again and still haven't made my way to breakfast. Think I'll treat myself to fish at my favorite restaurant tonight. Ooo.... Get Callanetics in and it becomes a nearly-perfect plan for the day. :woohoo:

Be bold my friends, and choose to refuse to think negative thoughts. Just refuse to do it. Think of puppies instead, if that's what it takes. Who doesn't like puppies? :laughtwo: Have a joyful day. I'll be running into you here and there. Let me make another stab in the direction of the kitchen, without the devices. Lol! :ciao:

If you had never seen or heard, I have always liked them. They are infectious. I know it was fun.
rodrigo y gabriela, I have not thought of them on some time. :surf:

Ha! I've been leaving the y out of their name. Didn't even catch that until now. :laughtwo: Too late to edit, but I'll get it right when I post the pitiful pictures on the Spot later.

They were wonderfully, joyfully infectious.

........ I see we have another person spewing crap......... Never let anything a fool says bother you...

Things Tead wants to say, but generally is a touch more polite...
"hmmm... that might be a pot and kettle case...."

What can I say, I can't resist the low hanging fruit after all.

What the? Did I miss something?
