SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Oh my! I’d hit that too!

There’s a pattern emerging here... :slide:

A pattern we're all fondly familiar with. :laughtwo: These are my choices on a daily basis. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_546414.JPG

Ooo..... I have a 420 prize box waiting at the post office (more nug jars. :slide:) and the new MB2 gets delivered veered today. Hmmm.... I have seed vouchers to get done too. :hmmm: Looks to be a busy day.

I like my MB2. That’s a nice selection you got there.

Nine out of ten times it's the Carnival I reach for. Best damned sativa I've come across. Highly underrated, IMHO.

I rounded the corner returning from the post office just as the UPS truck pulled up. Talk about cosmic timing! :laughtwo:

IMG_54658.JPG

The top box is a Magic Butter machine, intended for another member. My household only needs one.

To our generous sponsor we both say a heartfelt "Thanks." :circle-of-love:

The other box is the :420: prize box. :yahoo:

Let me find that box cutter........

Opening these boxes is like a :420: Christmas. :laughtwo:

IMG_54669.JPG

My paraphenalia and sticker drawers are going to be overflowing. Lol! Look, we went back to black tee shirts. :battingeyelashes: I prefer the black one. And a new lighter, just in time. My current one is getting low on fuel.

IMG_546712.JPG

Check out the black grinder. This is the first black one I recall getting.

IMG_546815.JPG

How cool is that, eh? :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_54698.JPG

The Crop King mini nug jar was pressed into immediate service.

IMG_54707.JPG

Dropped it down in the high-impact corner of the taster bin.

If you'll excuse me, Pigeons just posted his weekly update on YouTube. I'll go catch up with him before I do my updates.

Thank you to our generous sponsors. Without your continued loyal support we wouldn't be playing like this. :hugs:

Weekly Update: Veg Shelf and Clones - Friday, November 10, 2017

The clones are all closed up tight, growing roots. I didn't want to disturb them. Chem Dawg and Malawi have been in the bags for 11 days now. Tomorrow I'll open them both and saturate the perlite with 1/8 strength nutrients. In another week I'll pull them out to check roots. I'm in no big rush to get them into the garden.

The CBD Critical Cure cutting rotted what was in the perlite - my mistake. When I scrapped her outer skin before dipping into the rooting hormone I was a little too aggressive. I clipped it off last night and redid the cloning prep process. She'll be ready in another couple weeks.

IMG_54259.JPG

IMG_541511.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.2 (Day 49) Her feed schedule is medium veg, 10 ml of the two parts with 4 ml of Energy, plus the obligatory 2 tsp of CaliMagic per gallon of water. She's building a nice structure. I was looking at her today and wondering how she'd respond to three days under the chicken wire. I may do that before I head out to the music hall later.

IMG_54167.JPG

They look so exotically tropical to me. So different from both parents.

IMG_541711.JPG

This pheno has the richest leaf color.

IMG_541811.JPG

Jamaican Bag Seed 1.1 (Day 32, in the soil 17 days) Four days ago she got her first Energy drench, and a week back the soil girls got Brixed, so that'll be repeated tomorrow. The alarm is set. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This chemovar does not enjoy hydration. She goes madly droopy for the first couple days following a drench, and then she bounces back. You see she's starting to shoot out those horizontal branches? Knowing the mother is probably higher in CBD has me really excited, because the best advice in choosing the right chemovar for you is to follow your nose, and this one calls me as soon as I get near her. :laughtwo:

IMG_541910.JPG

Leaves are so shiny they look like I waxed them for the photo shoot. :laughtwo:

IMG_54208.JPG

Doesn't it look like a tropical bird about to take flight? With the way this one produces branches that's a very appropriate posture. Lo like!

IMG_54219.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 29, 15 of them in her pot) She's up to the normal distance of 18-24" from the quantum boards and up to full strength nutes for beginning veg, 8 ml of Parts A & B and 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water, with 2 tsp of CaliMagic to keep things stable under these intense lights.

IMG_54226.JPG

I think she has the richest coloration of any specimen of this chemovar I've grown so far. The greening of her leaves over the past week has been a wonder to watch. My next one will be in soil. Then I'll make the determination as to whether I want to restrict the chemovar to one medium exclusively. This plant forms the base meds for the family. It needs to be the best quality I can grow.

IMG_542312.JPG

She's off to a wonderful start. I couldn't be happier with her.

IMG_54247.JPG

Next up, the tiny closet. :ciao:

Weekly Update: Tiny Closet and Tents - Friday, November 10, 2017

Candy Cane 3.1 (Day 86, flip + 19) Progressing through the flowering nutrient schedule, she's recieving 28 ml per gallon of parts A & B (the old formula, half the strength of the new) plus 8 ml of Bulk, plus the 2 tsp of CaliMagic.

When I I look in on her I'm amazed I'd try to ever grow her in a shared space. :laughtwo: From this poin on I plan only one plant blooming for each of the flowering areas. The exception is the closet, which is really intended to be a wide-open auto grow space that offers auxiliary lighting in my living room through the winter months. The sooner this girl finishes and I can get this curtain taken down for good the happier I'll be.

IMG_54109.JPG

The poles will be put to good use. The snowball buds have begun to form in Ernest.

IMG_541112.JPG

I have an entire blizzard of them developing. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_54139.JPG

Controlling the rediculous stretch seems to be a pipe dream. Lol!

IMG_54146.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.6 (Day 95, flip + 41) Her buds are becoming heavy enough that I'll be needing some of those bamboo stakes for her too. :slide: She's beginning the wean off bloom nutes, 16 ml of Parts A & B and only 4 ml of Bulk, with the addition of the necessary 2 tsp of CaliMagic per gallon of water.

IMG_539610.JPG

Starting to go seriously frosty.

IMG_539711.JPG

The humidifier got kicked on right after this. I just checked. It's up to 39% so I kicked it up another notch. I'm being cautious in here. I opened the tent the other day to find myself staring at a leaf with obvious powdery mildew. :thedoubletake: I picked the leaf off and scoured the plant for any additional signs none have surfaced, but you can be sure I'll be vigilant about keeping moisture levels under tighter control.

IMG_539810.JPG

IMG_539913.JPG

I also dropped her back from the lights just a tad. Although there aren't any signs of stress, she was giving off an energy that calmed immediately when I followed the curious impulse to move her down a peg. She feels happier, so I'm leaving her there. She's about 14" from the light now.

IMG_540013.JPG

The undercarriage buds sparkle. :battingeyelashes: These are the earliest visual signs of change beginning. Her scent ramped up something fierce overnight. Coming into the reward stage. Lol!

IMG_540211.JPG

IMG_540314.JPG

Carnival 4.4 (Day 82, flip + 2) When I wandered into the bedroom at 11:30 last night I noticed the lights in her tent were still on. That was when I realized I'd inadvertently thrown the switch on the timer when I plugged it back into the wall turning the timer off and the outlet on. No harm done. The correction was made. She didn't even notice it. Hehehe!

IMG_540411.JPG

She grew into the guide beads overnight. :woohoo:

IMG_540511.JPG

IMG_54067.JPG

IMG_540710.JPG

Her humidifier got adjusted too.

IMG_54089.JPG

Tomorrow I'll get in there and clear her out and take some cuttings.

IMG_54098.JPG

One last shot of Candy Cane. These plants of mine like to grow into heart shapes, don't they? :laughtwo:

IMG_538710.JPG

The Spa is up next to close out the updates. :battingeyelashes:

Weekly Update: The Spa - Friday, November 10, 2017

IMG_542610.JPG

Blue Dream seems to be paying the highest price for the privilege of sitting under additional lumens, poor thing.

IMG_54639.JPG

Jamaican Bag Seed (Day 122, flip + 46) I mistakenly gave her a TransWater drench instead of the intended Transplant three days ago, but then today I learned she may be the longer-blooming pheno, higher in CBD, so that turned out to be a good thing. :battingeyelashes: Don't you love the way the universe intervenes on my behalf? I've trained myself to listen for subtle inspiration, and not to question what looks at first glance to be a mistake.

IMG_542712.JPG

Finding the buds turning purple kinda made my day. :cheesygrinsmiley: To think that someone in the office of Joy thought enough to take me all the way to Jamaica to stumble upon a chemovar that may be exactly what I'm desiring. I'm feelin' awlfully special right about now. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_542914.JPG

IMG_54307.JPG

IMG_543211.JPG

IMG_543311.JPG

IMG_543410.JPG

For comparison's sake, one from the lower reaches. I swear, she's like trying to photograph sunlight. Lol!

IMG_543514.JPG

Malawi (Day 115, flip+ 69) On the 5th she got relocated back into the Spa. Her last drench was two days ago, a TransWater, in advance of the next Transplant drench. She looks rougher than she is.

IMG_543712.JPG

Definately one of the toughest to photograph. The buds are swelling nicely. I peg her at another two weeks or so.

IMG_543812.JPG

IMG_543911.JPG

IMG_54409.JPG

IMG_544116.JPG

She smells of some exotic skunky spice. :laughtwo: May she be ethereal to smoke. I'm hankering for a nice spiritual buzz, akin to what I got with Neiko's Tikal.

IMG_544313.JPG

Blue Dream S1 (Day 100, flip + 27) Drinking up the flowering nutes at the rate of 32 ml Parts A $ B, with 8 ml of Bulk, and the 2 tsp of CaliMagic.

One shot for scale.

IMG_544715.JPG

And a few just to admire the beauty that she is.

IMG_54488.JPG

IMG_544912.JPG

IMG_54519.JPG

IMG_545512.JPG

She's beginning to give off the sweetest berry smell. Ahhhh....... Life is sweet. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

IMG_546212.JPG

That's the end of the nickle tour, my friends. So glad you stopped in so I could show them off. Sure they're fun to grow, sometimes even more therapeutic than consuming them, but it's nice to be able to share them with growers who can appreciate what goes into getting them to grow this pretty.

Thanks for making my garden special just by being part of the crew that visits. If this series of posts didn't generate a certain level of joy in you, you might be in the wrong virtual neighborhood. Lol! Now get out there and share that joy anywhere you can. I'll be doing my best over here. I've a concert to usher tonight. Think I'll get a short walk in before then. Catch you later.

:Namaste:

:laughtwo: I'll be honest, it's the nug jars, the lighter, and the tee shirts that are the most coveted prizes. Well, the MB2 is indespensible in a canna kitchen, and the extra GROWant GR 240 isn't anything to sneer at, to be sure, but the nug jars make me smile in the sweetest way everytime I look at them.

Check out the black grinder. This is the first black one I recall getting.

Seeet swag sue!

Why thank you so much baddaddygreen, and :welcome: to my joyful little journal. I see you're new to our virtual paradise. Are you finding everything to your liking? Make yourself comfy and get to know the crew. We look forward to getting to know you better as we go on. I'll take a peek at your journal when I get back from tonight's performance.

Comedy tonight guys. The daughter says she's hysterical. ILiza Schlesinger... I'm not current on the comedy scene, but I'm looking forward to an evening of laughter.

IMG_54519.JPG

Stunning. I'm really enjoying your joy in growing this one. Nice haul on all those trinkets.

So since you always have a large audience, I wanted to wish all the veterans a

Happy Veterans Day! :thanks: for all you do.

Thank you Jim. I kept meaning to make some statement about the veterans, but kept getting distracted.

I'm really enjoying knowing you're enjoying watching me grow her. :kisstwo:

Before I take off to the music hall.....

I harvested the nanners.

The bag with container is in the freezer until I determine the best use of it. I'll finish the trim and jarring up later tonight. She smells so divine it's rediculous, but I have to get out the door.

Later guys. Be nice to baddaddygreen now. :ciao:

What a lovely tour of your garden. You have some awesome genetics to go along with your talent for growing.

Why thank you sir. :battingeyelashes: This was your first tour, wasn't it? It's more enjoyable with fewer plants. I need to remember that the next time I get the urge to plant or clone. :laughtwo:

I've been blessed with a continuious stream of cosmic generosity since arriving in this digital neighborhood. I've also been surrounded by impressive talent at every step along the way. It begins to rub off. :laughtwo:

IMG_547711.JPG

The comedic performer left us wiping tears of laughter. I'm home, warm and safe. The brownie I just downed was a delicious 75 mg of THC. The music is cued.

Time to get this done. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Jarring it up: Devil's Carnival 1.1

The daughter stood and chattered at me while I trimmed away. In the end she gave up less than her mother, who at least got to an ounce, but again, when you love growing as much as I do and you're trimming your second harvest of a strain created with you in mind, 25 grams is like gold. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_547811.JPG

Colorful and fragrant.

IMG_548411.JPG

I'll check the humidity levels, but I'm pretty certain this batch is ready for the Boveda.

IMG_548111.JPG

I'm glad to be off my feet for the day. I'm still adjusting to being on my feet for hours at the music hall. Next concert isn't until Wednesday.

Time to taste the tidbits that fell off mixed with the scissor scrapings. :slide:

IMG_548511.JPG

Another harvest in the jars, with two more panting to follow. This inventory will give me the breathing space I need to get the rhythm established I see for the garden, which is looking more like one or two harvests a month. I'll finally have enough time to get to a couple medicinal threads that've been on hold while I temper my passion for growing.

It's much easier - everything is easier - with fewer plants. Don't let me do that again guys. :laughtwo: That makes the third or fourth time I've pulled that bit of planting more than the garden is designed to handle. I'd like to get through an entire year without having that happen again. Lol!
