SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Weekly Update: Saturday, May 26, 2018

The daughter sent me pictures of my girls, so I thought I’d share them with you. :battingeyelashes::green_heart:

Reports are the Red Diesel smells amazing! From what I remember I’m not surprised. :battingeyelashes:

Devil’s Carnival 1.7 (on the right) is ready to flip, no doubt about that, is there?

The plan is to clone as soon as I get back and get them into flower mode as soon as the new lights arrive. The Black D.O.G. Is looking enticing, isn’t she? Looks to me like she has a couple more weeks before flip. I don’t think I’ll keep the line going. The daughter likes the taste well enough, but it’s too intense a buzz for her.

What she’s really excited about is the Royal Gorilla. I’ll be looking for a way to get another cutting from J. :battingeyelashes:

Things are clicking along smoothly. She tells me the hempy drench process has become so natural she doesn’t need to look at the tutorial every step of the way. It surprised her how aggressively the DC began to grow.

It’s gonna be so much fun to watch her harvest her first plant grown from seed. :slide:

I’m on my way to the first of two birthday parties on this sunny Saturday. I brought cobs and capsules. It’s almost time to give one of the ATF capsules a try.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone. :ciao:

Glad you are enjoying your trip Sue, it sucks that Dan got himself jacked up. Rollling at Ross huh? Does the party never end?

Well I am back among the active growers again! I spent four whole days this week outfitting and setting up my new grow space. It's awesome to be back into the cycle again, although the 8 seeds are just two days above the surface.

My new setup is really nice (blessed to be old and financially comfortable), it's a separate building from our home with 14 ft x 18 ft dimensions. It was a detached MIL suite built by the previous owner, with an open bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. We have plenty of space to host guests in our home so no one need ever go out there but myself.

I beefed up the insulation in the walls and attic, installed a new electrical panel, outlets, switches, HVAC, windows and doors. It's very secure (light and temp) and stealthy as is my requirement now, especially in this part of the country. Since I'm not bound by tents and cabinets, I hope to grow a few monsters over the next years (Veg and train one for 6-8 months). Glad to be back into the grow, I've missed it!

Oh, I do get to deal with tropical weather again, that part I did NOT miss at all! But just about every place on earth has it's challenges I guess.

Peace
Keith

High KK, SweetSue, and all

@KeifKeith sounds like a really nice setup. How nice for you. Comfortably retired is a huge Blessing! I know how much you're looking forward to primo colas you've grown yourself!

I can’t tell you how happy it made me to read this. :yahoo: Your new place sounds enviably wonderful, just what you deserve. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Dan says he can talk at last. What a freak accident! I guess the universe wasn’t ready for us to meet.

Have fun growing. If you don’t start a journal you know you can always share pictures on my journal.

I’m at a birthday party, with a family that vilifies cannabis and embraces alcohol. I’m flying on two ATF capsules. :battingeyelashes:

Taking off this morning on a bike ride. Mind you, I haven’t been on a bike since 1978.

I’ll be back later.....we hope. Lol!

Sue, rocking a banana seat, cissy bar, and chopped forks ... OK, that would have been 1970 ish ... Easy Rider kids.
If you clip playing cards on the spokes, it must be 1970.

Peace
Keith

LOL I had one of those Huffy all the way! And yes, I am a 70s child.

:)

High SweetSue,

How'd the party go with alcohol, and you flying? I don't envy that situation, lol.

Seems like you're enjoying as much as you can. Even get to see dan at timber. I want to see what you come up with!! Enjoy the rest of your trip, Girl!!

Lol! The bike trip got cut short, but I did get some quality time on the trail, relishing in the morning beauty before one of the bikes gave out and we piled back into the truck to find breakfast.

I eat waaay more food here than I do at home. I can feel my cells anticipating a return to normal.

The party turned out to be great fun. The celebrating daughter had her friends invited, and their energy was much more in tune with mine. In the end I got a decent buzz going, what with all the vape pens floating around and the ATF capsules as my baseline. :slide:

Alcohol....... I don't have much use for it since I started growing my own cannabis. I'm one of those drinkers that doesn't know when to stop. I'd much rather get high. This was the first family party I'd been to here where family members were indulging in cannabis, and I noticed that the alcohol consumption was significantly less than previously. I was heartened and encouraged.

I left a jar of pain cream and infused oil in a bottle with the roller ball on it for the hostess, my friend's sister and the matriarch of the branch of the family that's cannabis-friendly, to carry with her. She lives with a greater level of anxiety than she's comfortable with, and was appreciative of the gift, understanding fully the healing potential. It made for a warmly affectionate parting.

I missed seeing Dan, Bode. That'll have to be next visit. :battingeyelashes:

High again, SweetSue,

I didn't pickup on the fact that it was your family gathering. I think it would be the same with me. Some starting to think cannabis is okay, some beer drinkers for ages.
Not a good mix for me. I agree about alcohol. Since cannabis, only an occasional beer at a cookout. Nice touch leaving the oil and roll on applicator there!

Aw, I was hoping you and Dan (Timber Lights) would come up with an all-inclusive, super duper, high tech light for growing Carnival in half of the time. Oh well, maybe next time.

Wandering through Ross’s, watching my friends shop for clothing (birthday gifts for this day of celebration). I’m so far out of my element it’s laughable.

But right before I left the house I had a bite of DDA cob - Thank You Chris :hugs:- on top of the Carnival chunk I had for breakfast. So all’s well. :slide:
That song Flying High Again by Ozzy pops into my head.

Have fun growing. If you don’t start a journal you know you can always share pictures on my journal.

Thank you Sue,

If I can ever overcome my lifelong training of stealth, i.e. taking photos of a plant and posting for the world to see, I would start a journal. I just can't push myself over that edge yet. I know, it's 2018, but I spent decade after decade, dedicated to growing weed without getting caught. It's so difficult to undo 50+ years of extreme ducking, bobbing and weaving! Now that I'm no longer in Cali and not fully legal here, I doubt I can cross that bridge and take photos.

I have seen alcohol usage lessen in my family too the past few years, especially those that are 30 years old and under, my kids, nieces and nephews. They still somewhat hide their vape pens and pipes at gatherings from the old folks, but most now know I'm not adverse to Cannabis. They know nothing of my grows though, never will. Most of my family over 60 years old are still drinking the Refer Madness KoolAid, albeit two are alcoholics! Crazy!

Peace
Keith

Lol! I fully understand Keith. What was I thinking? I often have to remind myself that this is a stealthy obsession.

I’ll admit I admire the way you’ve managed to keep your growing a total secret. I’m not quite as cautious, but I’m getting better at it as I go. When I get to your part of the world we’ll have to get together, but I won’t be expecting to get a tour. :battingeyelashes:

This visit was another opportunity to work out the explanations of why cannabis works so well as a healing modality. I got them to accept pain cream and oil. That in itself is a major accomplishment. At least two of the families that received them will use them. Their success with finding relief will motivate those stubborn holdouts.

There’s a tremendous chance for introducing more than topicals, but it may have to wait until my next visit. Let’s see what effect this batch has.

2fer1... awesome. Got Sue and her daughter doin hempy. Fun stuff for Tead to chuckle at.

Taking off this morning on a bike ride. Mind you, I haven’t been on a bike since 1978.

A quality ride properly adjusted for the individual rider will make a huge difference in your next experience. As a avid daily rider, I fully support you dipping your toes.

... and we call that "Style".

Ya know that old western movie moment when one of the characters removes their hat and trows it on the ground in frustration over some semi-humorous event?
That's a good description of my reactions to your words. A MIL cottage to grow in ?!?! So damn jealous!
Perhaps one day I'll build my own shed with large amounts of insulation an big tall ceilings... that would put an end to many moments of jealousy on my part.

Checking in at the airport in Phoenix. My flight doesn’t leave for three hours, but I’m on my way home, and that’s all that matters. :yahoo:
