SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Looks like a HB girl to me. SS's OsmoHempies are in the pure perlite.
Having said that, a boost up to 2tsp/gal CalMag would be my first move.

I wasnt sure, saw lots of perlite so ya know lol

She's a hempy girl. I thought it only right....:battingeyelashes:

Thank you Tead. I wasn't confident that a bump like that wouldn't cause problems. I'll start that with tomorrow's watering. :hugs:

Hmmm.... speaking of which....
The dogs are not huge stretchers when they hit bloom. Some, but not much really. Less than doubling in height... that's for sure.

Good to know as we near flip. Do you typically veg for two months? I'm enjoying watching one grow without topping. I haven't let this happen since my first grow, when I was too nervous to try. Well..... the stakes were pretty high with that harvest, weren't they? I had a strong feeling it might be a race with time to get the harvest in before he died. I have no fear anymore. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I've been putting peels in my flower room last week and I was thinking the same thing about two of my plants that are around the same spot in flower as your critical cure. I think there's something to this.

You too?? I keep questioning myself, but both plants are exploding with new pistils in a way I haven't witnessed before, and I've grown numerous specimens of both strains. I'm convinced there's something to this. We have Ziggy to thank for this one too. That man just keeps pushing us to be better. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

As a former scientist think I second that. It sounds logical, but it is not my field so further reading required to form an opinion. I never washed my buds. Believe in keeping a clean grow-room. I have filters on the air-intake stopping tiny particles from ever entering the grow, hence I never need to wash the buds

Someday DeVille, someday I'll have a space like that to play in. You don't use any foliars?

And I think it's just fun to do so why the hell not. My very first harvest also included bud washing but that wasn't a nice experience because I was doing that while sitting on my knees and my knees got tired and hurt. So next time (which is damn soon) I will be doing that on a chair!

I still need to decide what strains I want to plant next... I think the same Northern Lights Auto and then a Chocolope auto and Blueberry auto plus a normal photo blueberry and purple auto!

Next time try using peroxide instead of the lemon and baking soda. Still three buckets, but simplified. I fully encourage budwashing, in any form you choose, if you use foliars or aren't lucky enough to have arranged a controlled space like DeVille. Ahhh.... the dreams of future expansion that dance through my head. :dreamy:

I stand corrected.... I thought they were all pure perlite.
Have you formed an opinion of the different mixes yet?
I wonder why you're seeing so much Mag issues.... the carns... the dogs. hmmmmmmmmmmm
I do feed my plants from the faucet instead of filtered water. Perhaps I'm getting more Mag from my water than I'm aware of.

Thats probably why. I use distilled water and still run into what i believe is mag issues but i dont dare use my tap water ever again lol. ppm of my tap is pretty high ranges 450-500 plus i know my town hasnt changed the green sand at the water plant since 1992 and its only supposed to be good for 10-15 years sooooo ya needless to say i dont drink it either. Ever notice how the USA focuses on all the wrong things?

Wow... sand ehh?
Our water comes from the Mississippi.... you know... that river that catches the runoff from the major portion of the nation. It's RO'd at the plant, but actually has ground water intrusion issues betwixt the water plant and my garden. Usually fine if the water pressure stays good, but ugly if the pumps go down.

Ya crossed the big mighty river quite a few times in my life so id say im familiar lol. Ya theres a thing called green sand which is part of the filtration process i guess (not an expert on this stuff lol). When you say ground water what do you mean? Swamp or wells or just water from hurricanes that never left? Lol forgive my ignorance.

hehe... it's a unique issue I admit.
When one lives below sea level and digs pipes deep down into the ground (they have to use coffer damns and lots of pumps!), one discovers that the water down at that level has pressure. Our ground is very shifty and unstable. This causes cracks in the system that usually spew water out of the pipe... but when the pressure in the pipe drops below the outside pressure, the ground water intrudes.
Crazy ehh?
I can't tell you what percentage of our water supply simply leaks out thru all the cracks, but it's significant. Lots of sinkholes because of it as well.... huge friggin sinkholes that would swallow cars (note plural use) whole.

Yup definitely a unique problem lol. That sounds like a pretty sucky situation, i remember you posting a picture of a caved in road, biggest pot hole ive ever seen lol. Thanks for teaching me something new today!

I'm using tap water for all of the he lies excepting the last Carnival clone that just got potted. I'm using the Grow Better nutes on her and that uses distilled or RO.

Could it be the lights? I never had this problem before this though, so I'm stumped. I'll increase the CaliMagic and see what that does.

I've noticed my Carnivals and CBD Critical Cures go a bit yellow after a while too, but I was beginning to think it was the strains. I'm thinking maybe some epsoms on the soil pots might be a good idea too. Not for this run, so close to the end, but maybe the plants coming up behind. I'll have to try with a couple when they start turning and watch.

Like I have any experience with giving plants too much light...... HA!

I suspect the boost of CalMag will have the desired results. I've been toying with the idea of incorporating lime into my pots.
Of course, yellowing in bloom or of lower growth not getting enough light is all normal.... but that's not your dance.

The R/O system I bought for the house to clean the well-water, have a couple of stages extra compared to most R/O systems. It actually add the healthy minerals back again in the two last steps. Calcium and Magnesium added back into the water after all the bad things have been filtered out. The clones love that water.

@Dave Groomer

Genetics are strange things. You have regressive genes and you have dominant genes. Were your seeds F1, F2, F3, F4? What do you know about your seeds, how were they made? Sue has several breeders as friends and I bet they can give you a more comprehensive answer than me, but basically - sometimes the auto gene can show up if ruderalis has been used to create the strain or one of it's parents or parents parents. Depending on how stabile the strain is, these things happen now and then. It's a shit thing, but you can't guarantee yourself 100% against this happening - Unless you shy away from unstable strains that has the ruderalis gene.

That would also include the Devil's carnival strain Sue's a part of creating now. There you have both auto and photo-seeds showing up. It's actually much more interesting than annoying if you ask me - But that's just because I want to learn breeding. So am trying to understand these things - please correct me folks if I am giving away misinformation, but this is pretty much how I understood that thing.

I looked into breeding a little bit with a book from Jorge Cervantes (if I do spell that correct though) and I would love to try it myself, for me it's just playing around with plants and genetics but some medical patients are trying to make there own strain that matches what they really want for pain relief, spasm, stress relief. So those kind of people are a bit in a hurry because well, they are trying to breed there own good working medicine so it can be really frustrating but also true is that there are so many different strains and seeds for sale that there must be something in there that you like! And well, breeding is just fun. But what I do definetly know, ehen you are going to breed and you want to breed a specific stabile strain then there will be a lot of time going in breeding.

Feral is a good example! He is kind of a good breeder? Well, he is good! And a nice guy so the plants must like him!

I understand it takes a lot of time to stabilize new strains. I will most likely just do crosses of strains I like. Strains that I know have a good effect on the chronic pain issues and strains that makes me high/stoned. The dream strain will make you pain-free, make you fly like an aeroplane before you crash into the couch and get stuck there like a plane-wreck. Or trainwreck - A strain I am planning to grow in a not too distant future

Write a date on the note.... that would be way required in my world.

Great minds.... :laughtwo: I realized this morning that this might be a good idea, and then stumbled upon this post of yours that I missed the other night.

I can't think of a single time in my life when I wanted to experience couch lock. I tried, I really tried to come up with a time. When I partake I'm looking for energy, clear thinking, the unimpeded flow of inspiration.

There were many times before I began growing my own, more than I care to recall, when I got couch lock, but I was never happy with it. I realize this is an effect many seek, but it's never been a personal goal for my regimen.

Yeah well Sue, I don't really see you as a lazy person to so a couch lock really isn't made for you! I also wouldn't really like that though. I think I would like it if I had something good to smoke that really calms my whole body and mind down right before I go to bed. And I actually have a calm mind. And a really happy one to! Don't go in there though... it's messy but colourful!!
