Sue,
What was your reason for using De-stress a few days ago.
I used De-stress twice on my first Doc Bud method plant, but since then there doesn't seem to have been any plant behaviour that looked like they were in stress.
I've sent a message to Graytail on this. He once explained to me the rationale for staying consistent on both drenches, but I got caught up in the prevailing attitude that it's not necessary unless they look stressed. Well, for one thing, a couple of my plants
do look stressed
but it was remembering Graytail's mention that sparked the foliar this time. The man has some experience with cannabis cultivation and a fair bit of wisdom in cultivation in general. I trust his word and try to listen to his advice. Now and then I even demonstrate that I heard him by taking action.
You sure have a lot going on. That CBD Critical Cure is looking sweet.
Thank you Jim.
I'd have to give some of the credit to the ripening bananas in there. I keep wondering if I'm imagining it, but there's a new lushness to the blossoms that can't be completely explained away by my unbridled enthusiasm. Lol! The girl behind her looks to be the biggest one yet. I've been training her following Pigeons 420's techniques. She's filling out the 7 gallon pot nicely.
The idea is to get that canopy flat while still retaining all of her natural bushy nature. I think I'm getting there.
Pigeons 420 taught me about the pins too, come to think of it.
Now that they're removed it'll be easier to get in there and water.
Pigeons got me past my fear of hurting the plant with training techniques that're very heavy in man handling. That branching to the far left is higher than the rest, and I'm encouraging the growth of the center of the mass, so I'll give her some aggressive bending.
There, that'll keep her down for a while.
Back to my wake 'n bake. I'm testing out the lo and slow dried CBD Critical Cure this morning.
There's a surprising sweetness to this batch, dried in this new way, that I hadn't noticed in any previous harvests. This bud is from my first attempt at lo and slow, which means it's been curing for over a month. I had to stop at three tiny hits. Lol! I'd say the technique potentiated the plant's oils in a most satisfactory way.
This high is different from what I get with the fresh harvest infused oil of this same plant. Hmmmm..... So, I grow in the best soil, under excellent lights, with relative environmental control. I dry in a way that protects the terpenoids and flavonoids, and process into the strongest oil I believe I can get, barring CCO.
The med threads are bursting with information on using that oil and buds to the greatest benefit to myself and my patients. Incidentally, there's a class at Green Flower Media that I've had my eyes on, a Master Class on using cannabis as medicines it's wonderfully in-depth and comes with the option to contact the many physicians and clinicians involved to ask specific questions.
When it was first offered I missed the opportunity. At that time it was $50. It's since gone to $297. I missed the chance this week to get in at $197, which is still four times the original offering price.
As I was working past the frustration of how this valuable information is being priced out of the reach of common folk by an organization telling me their intent is to make the information available to the masses, I realized that our own forums already have a wealth of information and the additional value of members who are working through the process of using cannabis to heal.
It would piss me off to put that money out and find out that we already know more than they're willing to risk sharing. I'd rather brainstorm with our lab rats and work it out in the real world, then share what we learn in dedicated threads. It'd certainly be nice to have medical professionals to bounce questions and theories off of, but you know what? I think we're doing OK for now. We approach this with a curiosity and professionalism that I don't believe the "professionals" are aware of.
My 2.5 years as an active member of this community have served me well. For one thing it turned me into a curious cannabis warrior and a prolific poster. There's so much more to learn, so much more to share. So much more brainstorming ahead.
That thought brings me waves of joy. I'm gonna do something about breakfast now. Catch up to you later.
Get out there, spread some joy. I insist.
