SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

They're much happier this morning. Unfortunately for them I forgot to plug the light into the timer  and didn't correct that until I uncharacteristically woke at 5:30 and wondered why the lights were still on in the living room. Only 1.5 hours longer. I'll find my silver lining every time. :laughtwo:

After reading your comment I went and checked. Cool to the touch at one click down. I raised it up a quarter click. I'll check later and adjust up until I hit my comfort limit.

They'll forgive me. :circle-of-love:

Sue, when it comes to how close you should allow the buds to grow to the light. I had a bud grow into the light. The tip of it got light bleeched, but the remaining bud was lovely. It probably depend a lot on light intensity, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Training for BIG CANNABIS Plants w/Pigeons420 - YouTube

I've been watching him closely, and today Pigeons 420 posted a training technique I couldn't resist with CBD Critical Cure 2.1.1. Pigeons manhandles his charges more than others, but not to the point where they rebel. What they do is grow into these unbelievable trees! :thedoubletake:

CBD CC2.1.1 has thinner branches, and they're getting ready to head vertical, now that they've covered the footprint.

Every branch higher than 2" got the treatment.

This picture was taken at 11:45. I'll be taking a picture every hour to track her recovery.

Pigeons made this so easy for me to do. Something about watching a friend I know I can trust do the technique makes it easier to get the courage to do myself. Pigeons and I started here together, and we consider each other family. He has this way of making you feel he's talking right to you, which should serve him well going forward.

Maybe this will inspire some of you to give this a try. He has quite a few videos on training. He posts daily, so you're getting a continuious view of what really goes on in the garden, not just the glossy stuff. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Decided to do the same with CBD CC 2.2.1.

Sue

I re-watched the video again and he does hook it up in series the way we did.

He uses a black wire instead of the yellow and it appeared he used a short black jumper on the top connection in the video and he was actually using the same hole for the black and red wires making it look like it was only a short black jumper wire.

I was worried about hooking them up wrong when you mentioned them being a bit to hot.

so the bottom photo I posted earlier should be ignored questioning a parallel hook up.

as far as the heat concern a small fan may be the way to go.

It is still tough to grasp a small simple panel like that putting out so much light!

Thanks Hash Hound. The plants recovered from the onslaught of lumens and appear very happy with the new panels. I've bumped it back up another quarter click, and I think I'll keep it there until I get a fan rigged up in there. It's an amazing amount of light, even turned down slightly.

I have a question for the crew at large. When do you count the first day of a clone, from cutting or from potting up? The baby Carn clone is only two days in her pot and already reaching for the light. :slide:

I'll be taking the next clone from the mother tomorrow, at day 21. I've been hitting her with Epsom foliars, and she's responding well. All new growth is a rich and healthy green. This may be a good replacement for Carn 3's wounded genetics. She appears to be the sativa pheno. :slide:

I think I'll plant the next one in soil. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I count from the day I take the cutting. Then 2-3 weeks later you should have a rooted cutting. Then you pot it and you start counting the days in vegg

Gotcha.....the same way I note the time in flip. Alright, I'll adjust the note taking.

I do the same with seeds btw. Start counting days in vegg from the day I put it in the ground. Have no idea what others do

I count day 1 as the day they push their way through the soil surface.

Good morning everyone

Time to get this day going. Sorry wrong picture. Let me load the right one in. Lol!

Here we go. :laughtwo:

IMG_77605.JPG

You see where my joy is centered. :cheesygrinsmiley: May your day be as joyous a journey as you can muster. Are we ready to play? You bet I am. :slide:

But first, let me remember to eat breakfast. Lol!

Few things are more fun than this. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_77617.JPG

Now to find the totes.

Ahhhhh...... All done and packed away. Clean up is complete. All that's left is a bit of celebration that I finally got it done and in a month this soil will be all ready to go. Still two weeks until the first reconditioned soil is ready for use, so if I plant anything before now and then it'll have to be in perlite.

............. Had to stop there and recieve a gift. :circle-of-love:

A dear friend, whom I consider to be one of the most talented cultivators of fine sativas, has gifted me with some very special surprises.

Malawi came to entertain and inspire.

She came with a side of Panama Haze.

IMG_77778.JPG

You may not hear from me for a bit. :laughtwo: I'm going to explore. :cheesygrinsmiley:

You know what? I like this game the universe and I are enjoying where I wake up every morning and deliberately engage the cosmos in play, then joyfully anticipate wonderful things to come my way. And they do. Continuiously.

You should join me. Tell me you don't deserve to be this happy, for no reason other than happiness feels better, and then to watch your life change right before your eyes.

Alright...... I'm going back in. He tells me the Malawi's a creeper. I'm four tiny hits in. :slide:

:ciao:

Well Sue! Seems like you had a fun time! But wellll let's be honest, you actually always have fun don't you? I love being around here.

Astute of you rik. :laughtwo: I suppose I'll have to own up to that. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Life is meant to feel good. I feel good. Lol! It is a wonderful virtual neighborhood, isn't it?

It's amazing! Just talking to you guys, growing nice little flowers, I still need to grow those auto purples though...

Oh.... colorful buds will spoil you rik. I know they spoil me and just about everyone I see growing shades of purples. It becomes an obsession in its own right. :laughtwo:

Which reminds me..... I jarred up my lo and slow dried buds tonight. I chop my buds down small and they dried in a week. Now they'll cure.

14 grams of DDA7, my first sativa expression of a DDA in two years of growing them. :yahoo:

IMG_77817.JPG

10 grams of CBD Critical Cure 2.

IMG_77836.JPG

I added the previous harvest to this one. Now I have a healthy jar of them to draw from in a couple months.

IMG_77848.JPG

The stores improved appreciably. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_77867.JPG

I have generous friends and a developing talent for growing my own. This is getting to be even more fun. There's a lot of potential healing on that shelf. :circle-of-love:

I don't know why but I really want some coffee after seeing your buds! Now I really need some purple plants in my life! But the auto fresh candy of mine is almost ready for harvest so another plant can take her place but I still have no idea which one I should pick...
