SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

The process is to wrap your peels in tissue to absorb their moisture and place them and your seeds into a ziplock bag for a full two weeks.

The rest of the process is to air the seeds regularly and to replace the peels as they dry up. I'd bet that'd work best if you replaced them every three days or so.

What's one more hempy?

I've almost hit the halfway point of soil to hempy ratio. :laughtwo: We never anticipated I'd get this deep in, did we? At this point I have 6 plants in soil and 5 in perlite.

The slope... she's a slippery one.
Like many before you and many before I, you're just appreciating the ease of things.

I've been digging some Paul Simon today. I'm reminded a touch of 'Slip Sliding Away'. To me the piece speaks to how one can work hard to be somewhere, but then find themselves elsewhere. Seems appropriate.

I was watching Pigeons420's YouTube videos today and this shirt made me laugh so hard I had to screenshot it.

Started to put up my Mars-Hydro powerhouse today. Added extraction fan, carbon filter, two of four lamps and put in two mother-plants I think it's time to flower. It's a Big-Bud and a Pure Power Plant. I have plenty of clones of both to keep the genetics going and they have been alive for about 150 days. Time to flower them and let them fulfill their purpose.

Will move them into the autopot system. But inspired by Sue, I will make my soil more alive this run than before. Not much though, just a tiny step in that direction. I still have many liters left of the Canna nutes, and my economy insist I finish them before I invest in a new system altogether

I can see the PPP is starting to get rootbound so it's really time now.

Very nice DeVille. :high-five: I can almost hear them sigh with relief. :laughtwo: "Finally, he's going to let us bloom!"

:laughtwo: I got lost. 'Nuf said. Lol!

The difference in flavor is pronounced. The low and slow has deeper berry tones. The euphoric experience was transcendental and just a little hallucinogenic, exactly what I was hoping for. I'll try again this evening to see if it's consistent.

Any upate on hallucinogenic qualities?

I only named one of my many plants to date. It was incredibly difficult for me to think of that plant like that. I've since returned to my practice of sticking with strain names. I find it difficult to remember the plant's genetics when they have human names attached.

A shift of 17 hours on an ambulance should be avoided. Why is this standard policy in first-responder jobs? I've always been fascinated and a little frightened that resident doctors at trauma centers typically do rediculously long shifts with all we know about what sleep depravation coupled with stress will do to the brain. Makes no sense to me to put so many in danger of wrong decisions made in the fog of fatigue.

Sleep deprivatiom is an important part of brain washing, including the brain washing of a boot camp experience.

I've always felt there was a boot camp / brain washing element to doing a residency at a hospital.

Do you remember I told you a little while back I took some accidental clones? One of them has rooted and the other is most likely right behind.

It only took them 13 days to re-vegg and root under the dome without rooting gel/powder. I just fed them reverse osmosis water with a tiny dose of canna rhizotonic. My cloning method V2 truly is idiot-proof. Success rate is 100% so far. Incredible! The method I used before this only had like 80% success rate.

Hoping my cloning method V3 will prove to outperform this one even if 100% is hard to beat. 13 days however. We can get those down, can't we?

As a general rule of thumb, we look at 2 weeks for a clone to make roots.
You can chase a few days with some of the fancier cloning methods, but I find it not at all worth the effort or resources involved.
I mean, when you can pump out clones easily, it really just all becomes pointless. I find little difference if my clones get roots at 13 or 11 days. I'm not pumping some system that needs anywhere near the amount of clones I could be making. Hell... I can make 8 clones in 2 weeks using a dog poo bag and a 4"x4" footprint.

Just a quick thingy I want to tell you guys. I will be going to the official Dutch Passion seedbank store here in the netherlands in Maastricht. So, what would be the best strain or the best thingy to take home with me?

I totally agree. It's just that I love to do experiments. "retired" scientist without a lab.

And I do think I like the method I'm testing now better. If it works I'll get superior root systems compared to regular clones

Dutch passion has the all time classic White Widow. You should get a copy of those if you don't have them.

I would try Blackberry. I am growing two auto's and they look and smell amazing. One is very deep purple and one is what I call sneaky purple, showing purple color inside the buds towards the end of the life cycle.

Cool. I want to try without humidity dome next time if this airpot-cloning method of mine works out well. The less work the better

No...
Sue uses bags as humidity domes. I have no need for such frivolities as a humidity dome.
I'm just super lazy and want a hands off cloning method.
Worked great BTW.

Yeah I had a little quick look at the strains they sell and blackberry kind of reached out to me so that's nice! And the White Widow also seems very attractive.

the method I have been using is to fill the bottom tray with wet vermiculite mixed with a little bit of canna rhizotonic. I have found that even without the dome the vermiculite is able to keep the entire area of the tray stable with a humidity of 70% or more. The only reason I keep the dome on is to avoid the cats eating my clones. They love eating those for some unknown reason.

But will move the "cloning-station" out to the garage where two of my tents are. There I should be able to perform that experiment

I find 60% RH to be the line. If you stay above 60, no need for the dome.
