SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

I had to resort to supercropping CBD Critical Cure 2.1.1. What a vibrant vigorous plant she is.

I'd just leave it in the Osmo. Maybe supplement with the bottles if needed.

My concern is the danger of the osmo running out, but then, as you say, simply supplement. I'd be reading the plants and adjusting on the fly. Ok, good idea. I'll keep it in mind. I may do the hempy Carnival, just to see what happens.

The daughter was just here. She's out of the Candy Cane brownies, and they were her bedtime sleepy meds, with that 15% THC value. She decided to try vaping some flower. I kept some aside that was dried low and slow for just such an occassion. This was the first time she'd vapped anything with high THC, and she wanted to be close.

First off, I discovered she'd been vaping at 260 degrees F, which meant she's been missing out on all the goodness all along. Really???

I showed her again how to use the vaporizer by ramping up the heat to get the major cannabinoids in the final couple hits. You should have seen her face when the pain from the sprained thumb and palm of her right hand vanished right there at 390 degrees, when the THC and CBD hit her full force.

She went home happy, but we discovered that dried to preserve all the terpenes changed the smell by ramping it up to something she r ferried to as "pungent" and she described it as tasting like a chicken's ass. The strain does have an odd flavor. Those brownies were hard for me to get down. Carnival or DDA brownies, on the other hand, are both quite tasty.

Tomorrow she'll try a Carnival brownie in smaller bites. Carnival can come in at over 20% THC, so we're proceeding with caution.

I really need to get some CBD Mango Haze. The BIL and I are going together for some seeds at the end of the month. I want to grow one in the worst way. By August I'd like to have one in dirt.

I lead the most interesting life. :laughtwo: I got to wondering today if my walking companions, one of whom is ten years my senior, would have befriended me knowing how high I am all the time. So I asked while we shared a casual meal at Panara Bread after the walk, and the older friend laughed out loud at the query. She sat back, folded her arms over her chest and smiled indulgently to say "I knew you were high the whole time."

Which, quite frankly, made me feel really warm and loved. :circle-of-love:

Life is sweet. Was your day filled with joy? If not, there's still time. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone:Love:

Hanging around DrZiggy always sets off my experimental nature. This girl is closest to harvest. I'll pick up more bananas when I go out in a bit for the tent Carn 3 is in. :hmmmm: He suggested this for late flowering. I wonder if it'll interfer with one in early flower. Any thoughts guys? Carn 4 is in that tent and she's just setting buds. Might I be well advised to wait in til she's further along, or pass in that tent? Learning a new idea, and you all know how I love input. :battingeyelashes:

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw her today. She had a bit of a rough start and I wasn't sure she'd make it.

Please, by everything good in the cosmos, let her be a photo.

Are we having fun today? Good. :battingeyelashes: I woke up to sunshine throwing rainbows across my ceiling as the rays passed through the crystal sitting on the transom. A pretty nice way to start any day. :cheesygrinsmiley: I might have another group walk scheduled today. :slide:

Life is really sweet when you let it be, so do your best to let it joyful today. Just blow past any discord that dares step in your way, smile quietly and remind yourself that despite that unexpected upset you're happy anyway. Dare to be joyful regardless and watch your life pick up positive momentum. Then share that joy openly and frequently and it all becomes sweeter in the sharing.

Have a wonderful day. I know I will. :Namaste:

Are there ever enough plants? :laughtwo:

I blogged TOAST's tutorial Scorpio. Learn from the master himself.

TOAST teaches cloning

I use a strong concentration of aloe vera and water instead of Clonex. It's worked for me 100% of the time. This technique has been so successful I only take one cutting per plant. I bet TOAST can't remember the last clone he lost, if there ever was one. The man is amazing! :battingeyelashes:

Cleaned the bong all shiny and bright, filled it with hot water, loaded in some Boz Scaggs, and pulled out the low and slow DDA. Now for a real taste test. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think the low and slow technique may bring out the hallucinogenic nature of the strain. :slide: I'll report back soon. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So they're trying to develop an auto-strain, but most of the participants are hoping for photo-seeds? I would of course hope for that as well as I am not very interested in autos. - but why do they want to make it an auto in the first place - Devil's carnival I mean

By comparison, DDA7 on the left, dried low and slow, DDA5 on the right, dried conventionally.

ps!

Am growing a couple of auto's right now for the first time ever, don't really expect to be impressed and so far not at all - but of course hoping I will prove myself wrong

You know DeVille, I'm not really certain this is the goal anymore. We started out hoping for an auto with expressions from both strains, the mix of citrus and berry with hopes for the color to come through.

Well, then TheRedDragon had his come up photo and it was fabulous, and suddenly excitement blossomed that this was possible, because we can clone. :slide: They've turned out to indeed have the color of the DDAs, though not as pronounced as I get in my gardens with DDAs, and they're expressing a delicious lime smell. Mmmmmm.....

The autos have been less than hoped for. I'm not really sure what the plans are at this stage. I just sprouted one, so I've not been as active on that thread. That'll change. Lol! I do know I want something beautiful, delicious, and borderline hallucinogenic that I can clone. :cheesygrinsmiley:

With autos it's all about finding a strain you can't live without. That fast turnaround isn't bad either. Grown well, you can pull a consistent 4-6 ounces out of autos, and with the turnaround being every three months tops, you can pull a potential 12 ounces out of the space you'd be growing a photo in. Even at 4 ounces, how many photos have you grown that consistently produce 8 ounces?

They allow you to consolidate growing spaces because you only need one light schedule, 20/4, from seed to harvest, so it makes no difference what stage of development the plants are. You find them real estate under the indoor sun and let them do their thing.

Learn to make seeds and you eliminate that seed cost we all love so dearly. Find that strain that lights you up, make seeds and enjoy a continuious supply coming in every 2.5-3 months.

Autos get a bad rep from photo growers. I've watched auto growers on this site do things I'm still working on learning. If memory serves , A-Train once pulled more than a pound off two. Yeah...... :thedoubletake:

There's a community online, a network, devoted to autoflowering. Treat yourself some day when you have some free time and wander their halls. You'll be blown away. Sooner or later I'll find a couple autos that fill my oil needs. Hmmmm.... A-Train would know. I've never asked him.

There are just so many different ways to do the cloning dance. It boggles the mind a touch really. What plays out so well in one garden can be such a catastrophe elsewhere. I count my lucky stars most the time. I had a few go south over the winter months when humidity was wonky, but I rarely see clone death.

Thank you for good information. Truly appreciated. Maybe it's time to rethink my view on autos. Have mostly been thinking of it as a outside grow solution for us who lives where the sun is up 24/7 in the summer and hides 24/7 in the winter. In this rough world of contrasts, photos wouldn't be able to finish off before the first frost due to the dark not lasting 12 hours before autumn is already here. So Auto's is the only cannabis that could have a chance to be grown outside here. That's why I bought the seeds originally, but sadly summer has not shown it's beautiful face yet. We may have 24/7 of light, but mostly clouds and rain. So the autos keep occupying space in the tent I keep the mothers and they have all started flowering now. The loveryders look kinda shaggy. not having high hopes. the Jack Herer does however look promising.

do you think blowing air (co2) into the clone bag is what is helps?

Sue,
I found my 2 pair wire light hangers that came with the LED's I bought but they are 12 and 14 inches

if head room isn't an issue, you can have them

Carnival 4 (Day 73, flip +15) Just under a week before I take the second clone cutting. This playing with clones has turned out to be more fun than I anticipated. :cheesygrinsmiley: She, and all the hempy pots get watered every other day. This one is sucking water fast enough I may go to daily. I've added a mild dilution of GH Bloom to her water. That's only been for about four days now, but I see no signs of things getting worse, so I'll keep that up. There are a couple bananas ripening in here too, which should make some contribution to the flowering efforts of the residents.

Carnival 3 (Day 98, flip + 48) She still has almost a month to go before I'll consider taking her. Well.... maybe not quite that long. :cheesygrinsmiley: The kit girls will get a Brix foliar with Way Ahead tonight before lights out in the tents. Let me set that alarm while I'm thinking of it......done! She got plain water three days ago, one gallon, split between top and bottom.
