SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Weekly Update: Tent #2 - Friday, June 9, 2017

The tent smells of ripe banana. :laughtwo: I'll have to drop a couple new ones in here to ripen.

I kicked the humidifier on.

Candy Cane 2 (Day 27) If she was an auto I think I'd be seeing signs of flowering, and that's not happening, so this time I'll try cloning her.

IMG_75519.JPG

Slow, but steady growth.

IMG_755210.JPG

IMG_75536.JPG

I lowered her a little to get her closer to the 12" minimum distance I'm trying to hold to. It's quite the balancing act with different strains at different stages and sizes.

IMG_75556.JPG

Sorry....I wandered off there. Pigeons420 posted his daily video, and I do so enjoy spending time with him in the mornings. :battingeyelashes: Sometimes we hit there in real time. I keep hoping. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Now....where was I? Oh yes, CBD Critical Cure 2.2 (Day88, Flip + 48). Three days ago she got plain water, following the second CAT last week. As is the practice, one gallon, split between top and bottom. They seem to be responding well to the water limitations.

The panel of professional growers I watched recently at Green Flower Media mentioned that outdoors the best trichome and terpene production comes from marginal areas that typically dry up first. Worth considering, don't you think? They're not drying out, and they appear to prefer this approach to being heavily watered. Without Doc Bud's encouragement I probably would have shunned this. Remember how motherly I was about them when I started? :laughtwo: Now I casually drench them and push them to their limits to get potency over quantity. How the times do change. Lol!

IMG_75545.JPG

I'm growing very fond of this strain.

IMG_75566.JPG

All previous plants have been harvested at around day 53-54. That suggests one more week. That's great! I'll finish her on an Energy drench. :slide: It makes me happy when scheduling works out the way I'd hoped. Lol! We don't always control it as neatly as planned.

Time to add more bananas in here. :battingeyelashes: Organic bananas are absolutely yummy!

IMG_75625.JPG

Hell, I'll just move the banana tree in there. This is where I'll go for the next banana anyway. Might as well pick up a tree for the other tent too. :laughtwo:

IMG_75916.JPG

On to the living room. :battingeyelashes:

ps!

Am growing a couple of auto's right now for the first time ever, don't really expect to be impressed and so far not at all - but of course hoping I will prove myself wrong
I really really really love my auto's. the main thing why I grow auto's is because I can't control thr light between march and october because my plants are behind a big window facing south. So in march until october I can't make the light go 12 hours shining and 12 hours dark because it's still bright outside for about 16 hours. I do grow one photo too now and when my auto's standing now are done then I will plant some more photo's so they can grow until autumn and then letting them flower.

Weekly Update: Veg Shelf - Friday, June 9, 2017

That wonderful Hash Hound will be stopping next week to help me hang the lights and consider options for revamping this space. You have no idea how frustrating it is to have a 4x4 tent packed up with a garden this size. Ah well, I do pretty good with what I have. This is easier to hide and explain than that tent would be. :laughtwo:

Carnival 3.1 (Day 34) She got her first Energy drench yesterday, about 0.75 ml of Energy and a couple drops of Tea in a quart of water. I finally broke down a couple months back and bought a new plastic paint bucket for drenching 1 gallon pots. It's much sturdier than the previous ones. Makes this job effortless. Toss half into the bottom, drop in the pot, slowly pour the rest over the top, and leave it sit until it's absorbed all of the water.

Carn 3.1 was so droopy yesterday I almost took her picture. You guys would have been proud. :blunt:

IMG_75755.JPG

It amazes me how she grew like a seedling.

Down here we have these lovely, healthy leaves.

IMG_75767.JPG

Up here we get this.... WTH????

IMG_75778.JPG

IMG_75788.JPG

Meh! She grows. If the smoke isn't superior to what I've gotten before, this genetic line stops with this one.

IMG_75796.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.2.1 (Day 34) Another superb specimen in the making. :battingeyelashes: She also recieved her first Energy drench yesterday, in the same manner and measurements as Carn3.1.

IMG_75807.JPG

I swear....these plants didn't skip a beat taken as clones two weeks into flowering. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens at three weeks.

IMG_75818.JPG

Her LST has officially begun, as of Monday.

IMG_75828.JPG

Ultra Dawg (Day 35) What can I say other than "whoa!" What a hearty indica. Her color looks perfect, she has marvelous symmetry, she asks for nothing other than water and light. Wait until we fire up the quantum boards over her. :slide:

Tucking the big fans to let in the light. I'm not as anal about this as I used to be, but today I could hear A-Train in the back of my head telling me to get my ass in gear an "just DO IT ALREADY Sue! " so I took the time. :laughtwo:

One more space to go. :green_heart:

Since you seem to grow both auto and photo often I'm curious about something. Given the same veg time, how do autos compare as far as your harvest goes versus photos?

I'm growing some autos(my first) but my photo's were no where near ready to flip the switch when autos typically show flowers.

Good Friday guys and gals!

Weekly Update: The Tiny Closet - Friday, June 9, 2017

IMG_75636.JPG

No roots on the Carnival 4 clone yet.

IMG_75647.JPG

Devil's Carnival (Day 8) She had a TransWater drench on Monday, the same day I collared her. So far, so good. She has unique coloring. I don't believe I've seen this shade of green in anything I've grown to date. :laughtwo:

IMG_75657.JPG

IMG_75663.JPG

Thin Mint GSC (Day 3) She had me worried for a minute, but it looks like she'll make a full recovery to her early entrapment in the Rapid Rooter.

IMG_75685.JPG

The promise of both chocolate and mint. Does it get better than this? Lol!

IMG_75695.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.1.1 (Day 64). She's two weeks since the last drench. It was a thorough drenching at transplant, but look at the growth she supports on so little water! The available real estate is limited to this tiny spot in the front. My plan is to let her get dry, then transplant into a 10 gallon and let her veg for two weeks longer before flipping. I'm interested in increasing yield.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes the nickle tour. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart: I thank you for stopping and sharing the joy. Now get out there and show the world how unconditional loving is done and watch that joy magnify into something stunning and brilliant.

Time for Callanetics. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good Friday guys and gals!

Good Friday Archieweedies, :hugs: May I?

Autos have a life cycle on hyperdrive and will typically begin blooming between weeks 2-4. I grow them in separate areas because their lighting is continuiously 20/4. I can veg photos in that space, and I have when need arose. That's the tiny closet, and as you can see I have the CBD Critical Cure 2.1.1 vegging under the 3500 watt lights.

As far as yield, I've had grows where autos and photos competed for top dog, but photos usually win out. I'm still learning. There are auto growers on this site who run circles around me.

Thanks for all the lovely updates. How many grow-spaces do you have? You have some nice setups.

Wondering what's up with your Carnival 3.1. The rest of them look so healthy

Cleaned the bong all shiny and bright, filled it with hot water, loaded in some Boz Scaggs, and pulled out the low and slow DDA. Now for a real taste test. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think the low and slow technique may bring out the hallucinogenic nature of the strain. :slide: I'll report back soon. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_75014.JPG

:laughtwo: I got lost. 'Nuf said. Lol!

The difference in flavor is pronounced. The low and slow has deeper berry tones. The euphoric experience was transcendental and just a little hallucinogenic, exactly what I was hoping for. I'll try again this evening to see if it's consistent.

Why thank you DeVille. I have four spaces, the tiny closet for autos, the veg shelf, and two 2x2 tents for flowering. Dan at Timber Grow Lights offered the lights that rock my world and took it to another level. Those lights make little 'ol me look good on these pages. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This Carnival is inexplicable. Doc Bud recently mentioned he'd had this show up on one of his own plants and was also thinking of cutting that genetic line. The one in flower (the soil one) is the mother. Her quality will determine whether I keep her line going. The smell she's emitting right now is some of the best I've come across, so it's hard to predict what'll happen.

You just know that has to be interfering with metabolism. How can leaves like that photosynthesize as efficiently as the others?

It appears carn 3.1 has TMV. From what I have seen it doesn't effect the overall yield or health of the plant. Just makes some odd looking leaves every now and then. Every cutting off of that one would result in it. I make sure to clean or scissors with alcohol before using them on another plant to avoid this. Do your others have it?

I don't think they can - I would remove those leaves if I were you

I went and double-checked Nis, and I don't see signs of that on other plants. It's like the leaves don't form completely. TMV huh? I'll research. Can it be passed to other plants?

The problem is that all the new leaves may express like that, and yet the plant will still flower and produce. I start removing them and there'll be no more solar panels for her to draw power from.

Good Friday guys and gals!
I'm not sure because last run was my first run and I had 2 photo and 1 auto all 4 plants under a 15 watt LED light and only the winter sun and funny enough my Northern Lights autoflower had the most yield, 38 grams and the 2 photo's, a Durban Poison and a Red Cherry Berry. Now I fucked up the Durban Poison she gave me 24 grams and the Red Cherry Berry around the same weight because I had to throw some of it away because it was ifested with spider mites.

BUT! the store where I bought my seeds have their own homemade breed and the Northern Lights autoflower was from their homemade breed. Very inexpensive and she had a massive yield compared to what I had to offer to her. Now I have the same Northern Lights autoflower but now she is growing outside in a tent and she is doing damn well despite de burns she got when I sprayed her with anti insecticide and well uh... she did not like that at all . but she will also have a massive yield I can already see that!

Yes it can by scissors or other tools. Just by touching it or or other plants touching it it will not.

Thanks Nis. :hugs: I'll be alert about that. Sometimes I get going so fast I forget the importance of sterile techniques.

Bear in mind it is also a full moon. That in itself is affecting my day !

Yeah - That's a really funny part. Even me, who have thousands of watts powered by Mars-Hydro in multiple grow-spaces, are always looking for new light technologies, brands and so on. It's extremely interesting and that familiar thought. "I kind of wish I needed a new light" and at the same time "I should be happy already because I have all the lights I'll ever need for years to come"
