SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

:woohoo: :yahoo:

Another happy convert. Can you believe how easy this is, and how much the cuttings appreciate the gentle nature of the process? I have every confidence that the others are right behind. I'll send photos to TOAST, along with a picture of my latest success. Spread the word now. :cheesygrinsmiley:

My wake 'n bake today was a 5:1 BioBomb capsule that rocked my world Scottay.

IMG_57912.JPG

I'm testing out the potency of our study hall formulations and so far the 5:1 is a screaming success. It's 6 capsules made from the combination of 1 gram of CCO, 4 grams of coconut oil and 1 gram of liquid sunflower lecithin. Oh yeah....... quite a kick. :laughtwo: I'll be taking a second one in a few minutes. May your day be as wonderous as mine is becoming. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you. I knew you'd understand the implications of that stability. I like the chances of this new sprout. This is my third dance with hempy and I'm feeling much more confident. Confident enough to be planning another pot, soon as I figure out how to expand the grow space to accomodate it. Here I am again, up against that never ending battle for more space under more lights. Lol!

She's not as concerned about her profile as I am. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good afternoon everyone

I'm waiting for Hash Hound to show up. He fabricated a frame for the remaining Timber Grow Lights kit. If this works as we expect we may make another. It's sweet to have a neighbor who's also a member, and who enjoys the creative challenge of DIY. Without him I'd still be trying to figure out how to hang them.

So we already know my day is off to it's standard joyful journey. How's yours going? Make it delicious. You always have that option, and chosen it makes the rest of the day more fun and less frustration. That's a trade-off I'll take every time.

Catch you later. :ciao:

Man, I wish edibles hit me the way they hit you. It's just not fair. Lol

Miss you Sue
:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

That last one sure is beautiful.

:circle-of-love:

Pretty pictures. I want to let her go longer, but I need the space for the two in the closet that need upcanned. I'll give her one more day. I'm seeing amber trichomes this morning.

Hello?

Newbie here! What does that mean? "taco" as a verb? I'm guessing we're not talking about a Mexican beef sandwich. :cheesygrinsmiley:

:passitleft:

No we're not talking food. :laughtwo: When the leaves are stressed, either by deficiencies or heat, they curl the leaves in a taco-like profile. You can see this happening here.

IMG_55695.JPG

I'm not certain as to the cause, only that she's close enough to the end to not concern me.

Thanks...... :passitleft:

Miss you too RedDragon. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

You haven't tried my brownie recipe to the letter yet, so you're missing out on the potential experience. The part most miss is the refrigeration of the prepared oil overnight so the lecithin can encapsulate the cannabinoids more efficiently, thereby making the brownies bit faster and harder than conventional edibles.

Do you want me to send you detailed instructions? :battingeyelashes:

That last one sure is beautiful.:circle-of-love:

Thank you Hash Girl. I'm a point and shoot photographer. Many times I'm not even looking through the lens when I press the button. It pleases me to get it right after following those inspired moments.

Hash Hound came over and worked his magic. :battingeyelashes:

He took it upon himself to make me a beautiful aluminum frame. He's going to make another this week to replace the one we put together in two parts.

The hanging bolts keep the lenses off the surface. Nice touch Hash Hound. :hugs:

I had him make it 12" from center in one direction and 11" the other way. Works better in my small tents that way, IMO.

Took time to clean up the undercarriage.

That looks better. :cheesygrinsmiley: She's a pretty one, eh?

More leaves for the freezer. One of these days I'll have a use for these. I'm thinking about trying a V-8 with shrilled leaves for the daughter. I'd like to get some THCA into her, and this might be a way to get that part of the protocol started.

Ahhhh.......all's well in SweetSue's world. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I like the way you hung the driver.

I was stumped as how to attach it to the frame without adding two more brackets to rest on like in the other ones I made. Or on the side like the Timber kits show.
Now that I see it hanging in action, I realized you could probably straddle the two inner brackets with the driver and zip tie it to each bracket.
I had the 16" size on the brain and forgot the inner braces would only be 8" apart and if I remember the driver is 9.5".

Nice setup in that light.. I've never used LED lights myself.. But I've been thinking of trying one... Plants looks great.. One day when I get some time I wanna see what them pills are.. I'm still looking for something that wood work on me besides smoking.. Things look great around here,, GL Sue and Keepem Green

My plants taco so strongly, I gave up on managing the top 6" of leaves, I just aim for no taco on the lower ones. -- Next run I plan to do better :)

What causes this taco-ing? Is it harmful? And what do you mean "gave up on managing the top 6"". I'm in my first grow and I have one plant that is taco-ing badly. But no others...

Per Doc Bud's instructions, I added 3 tablespoons of epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) scattered across the soil and watered in. I saw improvement in 2 days. On my own, I decided to repeat every week until the plant no longer had taco'ing on most of the leaves. This is a new thing for me, 3 of 5 flowering girls have requested epsom salts so far.

:welcome: to my joyful journal flowergirl. Pull up a floor cushion and make yourself comfy.

The taco profile on leaves is, to the best of my understanding, a magnesium deficiency. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is why epsoms works. It's not something that will destroy a grow, for sure, and always remember it isn't the fan leaves that most of us are after. We grow for the oil in the trichomes, and the tall capped ones we seek grow on sugar leaves and buds, for the most part.

Woody, capsules will change your world. When you're ready I'll walk you through it. We have major resources over in the study hall to help make it easier to produce oil for capsules andmethods to make the cannabis more efficient.

It works really well like this Hash Hound, and takes the weight of the driver off the frame, making it easier to manipulate. It leveled out beautifully. You outdid yourself with this one sir. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Beautiful job on the lights Hash Hound. I know SweetSue must be excited.

I assure you I am MrGreene. :cheesygrinsmiley: He's gonna make me even happier by fabricating another one. His mother would be proud. :battingeyelashes:

BTW can I barrow Hash Hound,,, JK kind of.. But I need to get me an electrician in to put in a new main box.. Seems I've maxed mine out... Imagine that.... And I really want a fully dialed in lighting once before I get to damn tore up to grow.. JK but one day I need acouple more 220 lines in my room for AC and extra lights. But thos are a nice looking setup you guys threw togather. Keepem Green

If I may squeeze into this packed room, hope it's okay. .❤️
Certainly, you're always welcome growtohealme. :hugs: It may be crowded, but they're engaging and great company, and we have no real rules to adhere to here, excepting the expectation that you'll be smothered in joy here. :laughtwo: Pull up a free floor cushion and make yourself at home. Growing to heal is what we do around this yard.

And hey.... some days the pages fly, and you need to know that no one takes offense if you pass on catching up. :laughtwo: Hell, sometimes it leaves me in the dirt, but it's all interesting conversation and I encourage the interaction. We've all learned to roll with it and keep laughing. Every 500 pages or so we start a new unit and journey on.

New Frame looks great! Awesome job guys!

Didn't he do a great job? :slide: I feel so blessed. :battingeyelashes:

I get it from overheats.

That's right, overheating. I don't think this one got all that hot during her run, so this might be mag def. I'll watch the next one more closely and see if I can spot the beginning. It may be nothing with this strain, but if it shows again I'll hit the affected plant with some Epsoms.

He's quite the DIY guy. He comes fully prepared with his heavy tool bag that he really hasn't had to use yet, because he always has it so well done that no adjustments are needed. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I can identify with the exploding grow spaces. Thankfully my needs are all being met by the breaker Dale and I put in after we moved into the apartment, a breaker we put in, coincidentally, to supply his exotic plant needs. I know my use of that electrical increase makes his soul smile in satisfaction that he serendipitously prepared me for the time I be without him.

As we get older it makes perfect sense to streamline the efforts and get the grow to be as independent of our presence as possible, particularly in the hauling of water and pots. And yet we keep expanding. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone

A few pretty pictures so we stay on topic. :laughtwo:

CBD Critical Cure 2.1 (Day 59, flip + 16)

IMG_58158.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2 (Day 27, flip + 52) I'll probably take her down tomorrow or possibly Thursday. Less going on that day. I still need to purchase the stainless deep steamer I'll be using to process her as a fresh-harvest oil.

IMG_58186.JPG

IMG_58196.JPG

I found myself wondering if all the tops would do this if I let her go longer.

IMG_582011.JPG

Somehow, I don't think so. They don't look like they're even thinking about it. They look done.

IMG_582112.JPG

Again, just a couple mite-populated leaves. I considered simply washing and hanging her, but that seemed madness with the mites, so fresh oil it is. I have a feeling that fresh oil is more potent meds, if only because it retains more of the complete cannabinoid, flavinoid and terpene profile, which would enhance the entourage effect.

I'm looking forward to another opportunity to get this technique under control. The next step is to graduate to a pressure cooker, which PsyCro says he's perfected himself. Always working to improve the quality and efficacy of the oils. The better I make oil the less we need to use per dose, meaning the longer we can go between harvests. I still haven't worked out getting so far ahead that I can safely do another run of CCO. It's been too long since I had that adventure.

Have a wonderful day. Take every opportunity you can to spread that joy I know you can feel bubbling up. :cheesygrinsmiley: Get out there into this marvelous world and make it sparkle just a tad more because you're in it. I'll be floating around the site today, as normal. Right now I'm gonna try to force myself to back away from the iPad and make some breakfast. Lol! I'll catch you later. :ciao:

I need to update my journal but I just forget that all the time I already have a lot to do! but well, we'll see how that goes.

:laughtwo: You notice the high number of incomplete or abandoned journals? It's not as easy to maintain the momentum as one would expect. Life often gets in the way. Most only update once a week or so. I wouldn't worry about it rik. We know of your recent dental challenges and the new job, so it's understandable. I've been at this so long now it's become second nature to me. I'd venture to say the mods are the only ones on this site more hours than me, but I'm an extreme outlier who took to this like a duck to water.

The membership is very understanding and forgiving. Most of us have been wherever you are at the moment. It's pretty pictures that get the biggest applause. :cheesygrinsmiley:
