SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Looking good over here Sue. Love seeing your garden again.

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I'm hoping to find new pictures of yours when I get through posting this. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I've been distracted by Pigeons this morning. His wake 'n bake led me to his time lapse of eight weeks of flowering. So cool I had a hard time pulling myself away. :laughtwo: Time Lapse: 8 Week Cannabis Flowering w/Pigeons420 - YouTube

You could plug the hole, fill the bucket with water, and float her down some.
I've been pretty lucky dealing with roots in perlite. I usually don't see impact from my modifications.

Love seein the purple pop out in the DDAs. Got one going myself and I sure hope to see some purple.

I'd thought about doing this, but I wanted to let her grow just a teeny bit more first. When I water her tomorrow I'll do this. Thanks for the encouragement.

I assure you, you'll get purple, or you'll plant another one immediately and try again. They tell me the smoke is more potent with the green ones, but I have no way to verify that. All of mine went purple before the end. My very first one didn't go purple until the very end, and it never did color the leaves, to my recollection. It was potent, I'll give it that. She gave me regular 24-hour buzzes. That was when Dale was in the nursing home and I was baking the buds. We'd have them once a day and fly until the next dose. :laughtwo:

Seems you can't lose with the DDA.

Hi Sweet Sue

CBD critical cure is looking awesome. Seems like it couldn't grow enough flower, much like a puppy when you get home, lol.

You do inspire me to spread happiness, and warmth, and love wherever I can. Thank you so much for your inspiration!

What is "LOS" soil? And about mites, I have a few, but not many. Not using DBHBB soil, but Doc's mineral blend, with promix. Hoping to get enough Brix so mites won't bother. Seems to be working. Only have nopest strips down, and see a new one occasionally.

Lost your subscription, and just got back again.

Welcome back maineiac. :hugs: LOS is Living Organic Soil. I was a champion of LOS no-tills when I started, still am, as a matter of fact. I was simply lucky enough to have been gifted my first kit of Doc's HighBrix Blend, and well....there's just no turning back from something this successful.

Thank you for the compliments on CBD CC2. She got a reprieve. Rad commented last night that his last harvest benefited greatly from the extra time he left her go. I looked in on mine in natural light and determined that almost all of the trichomes are still clear, so I'm gonna let her ride, if the mites will allow it, and try for the full 60 days. Right now she's at day 49.

I apologize for the less than crisp photography. I was rushing to beat the lights. I wanted you to get a feel for how dense the flowers were and how frosty everything is. :battingeyelashes: You can't see it like this with the blurple lights.

She's destined for a fresh harvest infused oil, because of the mites. I'll probably do a slow and low dry and cure of some in the refrigerator too, in order to keep some on hand for vaping.

The daughter has been doing well on the Candy Cane capsules as we await this plant's harvest. The biggest differences between the two plants has been her sense that the CBD Critical Cure and CBD Critical Mass kept her system on more of an even keel, where the Candy Cane sometimes gives her more euphoria than she was hoping for, and the Candy Cane gives her the munchies in the worst way. Not a good thing for someone as heavy as my daughter. I understand what she means though. When I tested one of the Candy Cane brownies I had my worst attack of munchies in a couple years. Those brownies are in the freezer. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This one will be much easier to photograph.

Why thank you Bright One. May you and your beloved have a wonderful time with friends and family. :hugs:

Happy Easter everyone.

As is my tradition, I started the morning dancing around the apartment singing to the strains of "Easter Song" at the top of my lungs. I love the concept that death has no sting other than what we choose to attach to it. To the eternal soul death is but a passage from this to whatever comes next.

I've posted my favorite version of "Easter Song" on my Spot.

Easter Song

Have a wonderful day everyone. If you're lucky enough to have a gathering to attend grab all the hugs you can. They're a healing force in their own right. And if you have access, stay high the whole day. They call anandamide the "bliss molecule" and THC mirrors it in effect. That mindset we get when we're gloriously buzzed is a step closer to letting ourselves be eternal. Kinda like your free pass into the mind of God.

Take every opportunity to be blissful today my friends. Spread the joy far and wide. :hugs:  :hugs:

Pretty pictures. I want to let her go longer, but I need the space for the two in the closet that need upcanned. I'll give her one more day. I'm seeing amber trichomes this morning.

Happy Sunday Sue :hugs:  :hugs:

Happy Sunday Mr Am4zin. :hugs:  :hugs: I hope yours is turning out as delightfully as mine. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Happy Easter to you SweetSue! Sounds like you're having a transcendental day (the mind of God). That's some powerful stuff!!

Happy Easter to you as well maineiac. What better day to align to the mind of God than Easter, eh? I haven't really medicated yet either. :laughtwo: Time for the double dose of brownies and a stroll along the river.

Look! More to celebrate. My latest cutting is finally showing the first root growth. :woohoo:

Happy Easter SweetSue. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: :Love:

I'm happy to report that two Easter babies arrived in my veg tent today to join their older sisters. It's the perfect day to celebrate birth and rebirth.

Welcome little ones.

Grow tall and strong and frost up so much your cultivator will be stunned! :laughtwo:

Doing lots of drenching today when I expected to be along the river. The day is still young. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The DDAs both got their first CAT and so did CBD Critical Cure 2.1. Her bud sites are set as well.

While I was in there I decided to hang a guide chain from the lights.

IMG_57557.JPG

It's hard not to notice how much closer they are than the 12" minimum I just set, isn't it?

IMG_57568.JPG

That's better. This'll work nicely. :battingeyelashes: Before long I'll have these lights figured out.

We're into active flowering now, and I'm following Doc's advice to use one gallon per 7 gallon pot, split between the saucer and the top. This means watering gets accelerated to every four days instead of every 5 - 7 days. I can see how this could benefit the plant. Every third watering is a measured drench, with two plain waterings in between. "Less is more" is a gardening concept we tend to stray from in our hobby. This schedules assures you'll have a better chance of hitting the sweet spot between indulgence and starvation.

I think I'm done for the day with the plants.

Oh yes..... Tead, I tried the floating idea to get Carnival 4 a bit deeper in the pot. She wouldn't budge. Not even a little bit. She laughed at me and held firm. I suspect this policy I have of using so much aloe in my cloning process makes roots explode once they're in the medium.

I tried twice, because I couldn't believe it. She won't budge. :laughtwo: She's firmly anchored in there. That's good news from my perspective. Let's not quibble about too many roots. I guess she wants to be taller. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Happpyyy monday Sue!!! Hope you wake up and bake up and rock & roll the rest of the week. :volcano-smiley:

Meh.... the world continues to rotate none the less.
I'm happy you erred on the side of gentleness. If you would have been a touch more aggressive using your fingers to push the perlite out of the way and loosen up the root mass while the bucket is filled with water, you may have been more successful, but best to be safe and a little stretch is way not the end of the world.

It bodes well.

Hi Sue! Looking good in here! 2 of 4 of my toast clones have roots! I'm sure the other 2 will show up in a couple days.

:woohoo: :yahoo:

Another happy convert. Can you believe how easy this is, and how much the cuttings appreciate the gentle nature of the process? I have every confidence that the others are right behind. I'll send photos to TOAST, along with a picture of my latest success. Spread the word now. :cheesygrinsmiley:

My wake 'n bake today was a 5:1 BioBomb capsule that rocked my world Scottay.

IMG_57912.JPG

I'm testing out the potency of our study hall formulations and so far the 5:1 is a screaming success. It's 6 capsules made from the combination of 1 gram of CCO, 4 grams of coconut oil and 1 gram of liquid sunflower lecithin. Oh yeah....... quite a kick. :laughtwo: I'll be taking a second one in a few minutes. May your day be as wonderous as mine is becoming. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you. I knew you'd understand the implications of that stability. I like the chances of this new sprout. This is my third dance with hempy and I'm feeling much more confident. Confident enough to be planning another pot, soon as I figure out how to expand the grow space to accomodate it. Here I am again, up against that never ending battle for more space under more lights. Lol!

She's not as concerned about her profile as I am. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good afternoon everyone

I'm waiting for Hash Hound to show up. He fabricated a frame for the remaining Timber Grow Lights kit. If this works as we expect we may make another. It's sweet to have a neighbor who's also a member, and who enjoys the creative challenge of DIY. Without him I'd still be trying to figure out how to hang them.

So we already know my day is off to it's standard joyful journey. How's yours going? Make it delicious. You always have that option, and chosen it makes the rest of the day more fun and less frustration. That's a trade-off I'll take every time.

Catch you later. :ciao:

My plants taco so strongly, I gave up on managing the top 6" of leaves, I just aim for no taco on the lower ones. -- Next run I plan to do better :)

Hello?

Newbie here! What does that mean? "taco" as a verb? I'm guessing we're not talking about a Mexican beef sandwich. :cheesygrinsmiley:
