I found myself wondering if all the tops would do this if I let her go longer.
Somehow, I don't think so. They don't look like they're even thinking about it. They look done.
The other tops would probably not turn white.
I believe these are snowcaps, a response to the light intensity close to the lights, especially common with LED lights.
The rumor is that snowcaps are lower in THC - but this might just be stoner mythology. I have no personal experience..
I don't think that's the case here Rad. This may be a genetic trait. I panicked with the first run of the strain - remember that? - and MagicJim pointed out to me that some strains develop these caps. They're a different type of flower growth. If you look at the pictures you'll notice some of the snow caps in the back are further down in the plant and below the level of some that never turned. I measured, and some of the lower snow caps are over 25" from the light. The BudMaster says start on the floor and let them grow to the light.
If this is what you suggest, and if reduced THC is a concern, it won't matter in this grow, because it's the CBD in this plant that we're most excited about, and it only takes a ratio to do what I'm hoping for. This strain can come in at 1:2 THC:CBD, and grown in Doc's soil I'm certain I'm at least getting 1:1.

Ya know... common sense (back away everyone.... common sense often explodes in my face) would tell me that the snow caps are full of trichomes and thus full of goodness.
I'm gonna stick with that idea until someone proves it differently.
What's that old saying.... Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
Actually back when it happened on one of your earlier grows, I thought it was caused by the light. Lights which have the 660 nm red and no 680 nm red is reported to cause hash tips. If that condition doesn't exist for the light, then it's likely to be bleaching.
A question for the galley: If this hash tip production is caused by the lights, why don't all of the plants growing under them do this? To date CBD Critical Cure is the only one that has.
Perhaps you're just getting better as the days pass. Perhaps it's the new HB soil. Perhaps you held your pinky finger the right way when watering.

Haha, I got a kick out of seeing you wait to harvest till tomorrow after catching up on this journal because I did the exact same thing this morning with my Northern Lights
