SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

If it were me, I'd find Icemud and ask his opinion. He's my go-to lighting guru on site. Lighting is Icemud's passion. :battingeyelashes:

I second that. I would for sure ask him any question about lights.......... from what i have learned 3500k is good for the full lifecycle, a good balance with blue a red. however adding red in flower helps.
Welcome little one. :green_heart:

Ahhhh...... I always breathe easier when they poke their little heads up. Carn 4 is now among us. :yahoo:

aint that the cutest thing

Ive also been reading that the 3000k-3500k are the most efficient...my first build was a 4 chip..2 3500k, and 2 5000k My next will be with 4 3500 Citizens..if they ever get here or 4 3500 Vero29s

Hi @SweetSue,
could you tell me which color temperature for Citizen Clu048 1212 is best for a full cycle?
I saw you have purchased 3000k.
while i'm interested in 4000k (more blue).
Is it too much the loss in the flowering stage using this?

It's definitely not too much red loss. :cheesygrinsmiley: And it's very easy to add a simple red-only LED panel to bloom later, if you think they need it. I've been thinking 3500K for my bloom-only room.

But seriously, atmosphere control is a LOT more important than spectrum. Low humidity will wipe out any gains from a perfect spectrum. Unfortunately, that's a lot more complicated and expensive than lighting.

Yeah...... browse my earlier pages and see what damage low humidity can create. Made finding that humidifier all the sweeter. Now I feel like I stand a chance. :laughtwo: It was my major goal this year to find ways to stabilize atmosphere in the tents.

Hi Sue! It took me a while to find your new journal but I'm here now! Looking good! Congrats on the new lights.

I went ahead with thE toast method of cloning about 4 days ago, I'll post some pics when they are teaming with roots.

The one that has me most excited is Carnival 3. She's bursting with energy under the lights.

We have different ends of the spectrum, you battling high humidity and me battling low. The humidifiers appear to be giving me some relief.

Here ya go neiko, something to brighten the day. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I pulled that leaf with obvious mite signs. Sometimes it's the camera that catches them, despite my morning check. Today it was a minimal number of leaves removed. I seem to be keeping ahead of them with this girl.

Good morning everyone.

We're off to another bright and beautiful sunny day. This may call for a walk to the labyrinth. It's time to get back to clearing the stones. :slide: I hope your day is showing signs of joyfulness oozing out all over. I know mine is, and it's a very deliberate choice. Join me in expressing that bounty of loving with each interaction you find yourself in today. It's a lovely way to kick off another week of wonder.

I'll be catching up as I go today. Gardening chores are completed and breakfast is waiting for me to get done here already. :laughtwo: Have a wonderful Sunday my friends.

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Whipping up a new batch of brownies, using the fresh-harvest oil I made last week. Wow! How time flies when you're having fun! :laughtwo: The daughter has decided she'd like to try a tiny bit of superior sativa to see if her tolerance to THC has adjusted as we suspect. Her partner has three days off in a row this week, so she's thinking the first day might be a good time to experiment. I'll take one of my brownies, which ate 1/16 of the pan and equal to half a gram of potentiated Carnival per and cut it into 16 pieces.

We're taking a little bit of a risk here, with her supposed sensitivity to sativas. Hmmmmmm....... I could start another batch made with the Candy Cane. She's an indica-dominant, and the daughter might tolerate that better.

Oh good, I get to make another pan of brownies. :slide: I'll get a better picture for you keltic. I forgot to get it before it went into the oven this time. :hugs:

Off to the store to get another brownie mix. :cheesygrinsmiley:

In my garden, I'd start hitting it with some slight nutes at this point. I use tap water and have about 180ppm background radiation. I usually start them at 2ml/gal of my DynaGro liquid nutes... 1/2 the published week1 schedule.
I recently tried a test run of clones with 1g of Osmo+ in the top of a 2L pot. I always starve clones. Hopefully this will work out well for me. If it does, I can put away the liquid stuff for good.

I wet her perlite down yesterday with a 1/4 dilution. I was thinking there must be a way to use the Osmo Plus from the beginning, but let me get this one through...what would you figure, around five nodes before transplanting?

I'll bump her up to 1/2 strength for a few waterings. Play it by ear. It'd be nice to be able to do Osmo start to finish.

I've been baking brownies. :cheesygrinsmiley: Good Lord, I'm stoned. :laughtwo: These brownies are much more potent than any previous batch. This one's made with the fresh-harvest plants, and one can't help but wonder if what I'm feeling from licking the chopstick that I used to stir the oil and the dregs from cutting is the result of more terpene retention.

I'm gonna have to test these out carefully tomorrow. Whew, what a rush!

This is the second batch going in. I promised keltic I'd get a good shot. :battingeyelashes:  These are made with Candy Cane. Kind of an odd taste, but then I'm spoiled. The caramel will help with flavor.

IMG_554612.JPG

I may try some to see if they work well as night meds.

While the second batch baked I wrapped the Carnival brownies up.

Leaving a four-day supply out.

IMG_55487.JPG

Freezing the rest. Need to keep it all clearly marked.

IMG_55506.JPG

The Candy Cane smells more like cannabis baking in the oven. :laughtwo: It smells like I have a party going on in here. The advantages of being the last door on the top floor. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Man I'm high. :thedoubletake: My heart is racing and I feel like I'm floating. :laughtwo: If it weren't nighttime I'd go for a walk. Think I'll do some stretching when this batch comes out of the oven. :hmmmm: It appears I figured out how to make my brownies even more powerful. :slide:

No doubt about it, life is sweet. I don't plan this stuff, you know. It kinda falls in front of me.

There goes the timer. Later. :ciao:

I just realized I also licked the oil out of the measuring cup before I washed it. Both times. :cheesygrinsmiley: That may have been a contributing factor to this unbelievable buzz I have going. :laughtwo:

All done baking for the day. I left eight out. I'll play with them tomorrow to get a feel for intensity before I try them with the daughter. It's not gonna take much for her.

IMG_55516.JPG

The freezer is well-stocked.

IMG_55524.JPG

I'm headed to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow. I had a great time today. You? :battingeyelashes:

Typically I refill the distiller before it shuts off. That way I get it all scrubbed out before we get to this point.

IMG_55536.JPG

Sure makes one pause. I drink my water unfiltered, so these are the minerals I'm introducing into my body. The reality is those minerals don't go in concentrated like this and get processed through the system smoothly and efficiently.

Looking at the picture the reaction is pure "YUK!" :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone.

That's three nights in a row I slipped into bed before midnight and slept straight through. :cheesygrinsmiley: It only took two years to get back on track. :laughtwo: Let's see if the sleep pattern stays there.

I'm testing the Candy Cane brownies this morning before having my daughter try tomorrow.

IMG_55554.JPG

I started with a quarter on the hour, and I've been adding another piece every 15 minutes. I just took the third chunk. So far, nothing earth-shifting. That's good news for the lightweight daughter. I'll have the next one and treat myself to breakfast at the restaurant.

Ok, I felt that shift. :laughtwo: Hmmmm.... a different sensation from the way Carnival or DDA present in brownie form. Don't you love science?

The Candy Cane capsules are working for her since I cut them down into half doses. That's good to know in a pinch, but I plan to get months ahead in CBD Critical Cure oil so we don't need to experiment. Our hope is that she can use brownies recreationally.

Alright my friends, get out there and spread the joy through this bright and glorious new day. Are you ready to play with the cosmos? So am I.

Game on! :slide:

CBD Critical Cure (Day 119, flip + 44)

The breeder says 50 to 60 days in flower. I'm pretty sure we won't make it to day 60.

I'll do my best to get her to day 50, which is Easter Sunday. :laughtwo: She looks and smells done to me, so I know we're close enough I can go at any time. It's not a matter of need. The Candy Cane capsules are working at half strength.

It's about her feeling done.

IMG_55635.JPG

Yep, we're close.

Incidentally, that brownie I consumed in quarters over the span of an hour is kicking my butt. It's not the ethereal cerebral high I get with Carnival, but I'm definately high. :laughtwo: I'm getting ready to go out for a walk and test it outside the apartment. Already I can tell this has that heaviness behind the eyes I avoid in strain choices, but there's an underlying racy quality that's starting to kick in, driving me to the outdoors.

What's it been, 2 hours? Sounds about right for the major hit. No way could my daughter handle this freight train. Lol! Let me get outside and burn some of this off. :ciao:
