SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Anyway, I have this growing collection of hats, of which these are the latest three.

Freebies. :slide: Hash Hound, a fresh WW seed for the taking. I won't be growing it, and I know of your preference.

I could be talked into one or two of these as well. :cheesygrinsmiley: Give me a call. :battingeyelashes:

I'm so serious about the hats and the paper products you wouldn't believe it. :battingeyelashes:  Somebody take me up on it. Please.

I'll take as many hats as you wanna give me Sue.

and the WW

Just say the word guys. You know my address. :battingeyelashes:
Yup. Thank you. I'm good though. Maybe this summer once I gotta get back out n the yard. I imagine you'll still be getting them on the regular. If not, shoot I might be able to pull off an award winning grown get myself a collection going. We shall see. We are going to be having some fun this year.

You're the best :hugs: Sue :hugs:

I think I can work with this. :blunt:

I just drug all my tools home from a worksite.... all of them sitting in my front room. My photo would be a touch more cluttered.
Great job... looks quite nice.

This is my transitional decorating theme. :laughtwo: The idea is to get rid of everything I won't be wearing or eating off of or cooking with or growing with. The trick is to keep it visually stimulating while I whittle down the belongings. I'll appreciate Spartan, but not barren. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The valances are collectible, hand painted panels I picked up in a thrift shop years ago. I was getting ready to drop them into the pick-up box when I got inspired to enjoy them a little longer over my work station. I think that idea worked out right nicely. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Pretty pictures, just because I was feeling so "normal" today I was giddy. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The regular update will be tomorrow. I was simply feeling frisky and they were anxious to show off.

Emerald

Another couple weeks at least. The mites are beginning to get to her, but not in the way they're sucking the chlorophyll out of the Candy Cane. She smells strongly of citrus and fuel today. Very pronounced. Mouth watering even. :slide:

Candy Cane smells a little like candy. :laughtwo: I periodically stop and unzip so I can get a quick whiff.

IMG_48968.JPG

The mites are having a field day. I tend to this tent first, then strip down and shower completely, washed hair and all, before I go anywhere near the other grow spaces. I do this anytime I have to do more than glance in. No way do I need these little earthlings in the other spaces.

I took an objective look today and determined that I'll be lucky to get more than an ounce dry off this plant. I'll be turning it all into CCO that I can then use to topically treat the patches of psoriasis scattered around my body. I have a small syringe of some I made months ago and forgot I had that I've been using recently, and the patches on my face are healing up like a dream.

This plant wasn't anything like the experience I'd anticipated, so it'll be good to get something valuable out of her.

I'm ready to get the tent clear of mites.

Next door CBD Critical Cure 2 is ready for the first CAT. I'll be drenching her tomorrow. From now on I'll hit her every five days with the 1.5 gallons of whatever she's drinking at the time.

Her followup is coming along very nicely.

IMG_49076.JPG

Time to start training her to give the lower branches time to catch up.

The aloe are doing well, now that I no longer have a gardening need for them beyond cloning. :laughtwo:

I started the day by adding in more CFLs over the seedlings.

The DDAs are stacking nodes on top of nodes. The tight structure I try to encourage.

There's a belief that the health of the Jade plant predicts the influx of money energy into the household. The idea is to place the plant in a southeastern window and see what transpires. This one's been in this window for a couple years now, and it's health and vigor have been in question a number of times.

Since I decided to move to NOLA it's perked up appreciably. I'm watching for the beginning of the money stream that will fuel the move. The Jade plant is assuring me that it's on its way. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_49176.JPG

Wasn't that fun? :laughtwo: Some days I miss the daily updates. Only some days. I'm happier with the weekly updates. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm off to ship another small package. Rad, I'm sending you a small Carboniferous fossil. Think of it as my housewarming gift, albeit a little late. :battingeyelashes:  It's something I know you and the wife will enjoy owning, and if not, donate it to a local classroom filled with curious children.

That's earlier than I have been doing a CAT drench - I've been waiting until the flowers are a bit more developped - so they look more like fuzz balls above the fan leaves than fuzz balls nestled in the tops of leaves - maybe 3 more days. I refer you to the masters at

My aloe mother is coming back after loosing ALL her roots and sitting in the dark for 2 months - resiliant plants :)

I lived in the sunset district of San Francisco in the 80s. Small, common wall houses with skylights and postage stamp back yards. There were magnificent 5 to 8 foot jade plants outdoors in the Sunset district - many of them planted by Japanese gardeners before WW2. Also jade plants in stores. We had a jade in the light well outside the dining room.

The house I rented was listed for $240K when I moved, which was either twice the price or half the size of houses in adjacent cities. Zillow now lists that house as $1400K - thats $1000 per square foot :) Imagine what it would sell for if I had planted jade bushes instead of hedges :)

Roast my own beans too. :)

And that little note about roasting your own beans got you reps. :high-five: I used to travel into downtown Pittsburgh for my coffee to get it fresh roasted. Worth every minute of travel and the cost of the bus fare. Hmmmm...... then explain why you haven't made that trip lately Susan, but choose to buy Starbuck's.

:bigblush: I'm gonna go with lazy. Yep, that works for me. :laughtwo: Time for another cup.

This is one of the things neiko pointed out to me when we were in Jamaica. He hits his as soon as they get individual blossoms in place, but before they're what we all were calling "set". This works well in his garden, well enough that I'm replicating it in my own.

To be honest, I've always had a sense that I was missing the timing when I did the CAT, and that's including the last run, when I came closer to the newer guidelines Shiggity was suggesting. I'm still trying to figure out what works best in my garden.

My aloe mother is coming back after loosing ALL her roots and sitting in the dark for 2 months - resiliant plants :)

One of these days I'll get more soil and another dish with more of a horizontal profile for the one you sent me. I wasn't expecting to keep it in that small pot this long.

Whoa! I'll have to go googling on the 8 ft jade plants. That would be spectacular.

Somehow I knew this. :battingeyelashes:

Now that Emerald is maturing, do you have a feel for her speed of growth as compared to previous soil grows of the strain?

I want to think on this and give you a more complete answer. She caught me off guard today with her unexpectedly pronounced scent. I've only grown three full out, but the number goes far beyond that with all the clones.

I'll get back to you later.

Afternoon Sue. I don't envy your mite problem. I hope you find a solution.
:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I appreciate the moral support RedDragon. I'm holding my breath waiting to get the tent scrubbed and disinfected. Being anal about cross-contamination concerns is a critical step. After I'm working with those two I shower completely and scrub my hair. Poor Emerald deserved better, but my sense is she's gonna give me nice, dense buds. Her scent right now rivals any I've grown in soil, although it's got a noticably sharper edge to the citrus.

I've been purging possessions, and in doing so stumbled upon this delightful surprise.

Dale cut it by hand with a jeweler's saw and an impossibly thin blade. It's a snake in free form. I have no picture and no recollection of what it looked like assembled, other than coiled. :laughtwo:

Here ya go.......... maybe someone can solve it. :cheesygrinsmiley: I know it's gonna take me a good while. Lol!

IMG_492915.JPG

One of those things you hate to toss, but who wants it, or would know what to do with it?

I also think you are too early on Cat Drench Sue. Head over to the Cat Drench thread and that should help. I know the instructions mention Cat Drench too soon will effect yield, too late and it will effect taste.

Echo the +reps on roasting your own coffee. I used to live near a coffee roaster ... in that San Francisco house ....

Spread out like that, it's almost impossible not to touch. I've been known to solve mixed up Rubik's cubes in stores, classrooms, auction tables - I thought I might loose my first corporate job because I was 'compelled' to solve Rubik's cubes and finish puzzles. Fortunately all the cubes were back then 3x3 so they only took a few minutes to solve.

A great puzzle there... I'd mail it back.

:hmmm: Aha! The woodgrain. 15 minutes, tops. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I love fine work like that. I spent a few years working with Swarovski crystals, picking up flatbacks as small as 2mm with fingers alone, and setting them into fresh glue. Bought 'em 10 gross at a time. Did wedding pens, earrings, bracelets, clothing ... pageant shoes ...

That's admirable work.

You said "woodgrain" and the two pieces at each end of the semi-circle popped into place. I suspect you'd finish it in under 5 minutes.

With that background, have you watched the reality shows "Faceoff" and "Skin Wars"?
Next season - more glitter !
