SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Was it Sativa or indica type effects?

I mostly prefer indica effects, and most of the Hawaiian strains (on seedfinder) seem to have a Hawaiian sativa for the Hawaiian portion.

Just because I'm curious, what Indica effects do you find most attractive Rad? As you know, I'm more drawn to sativas, which I can smoke right up to bedtime without it interfering with my sleep, for the most part. For those times when I need something to push me over the edge for sleep purposes I reach for the Chem Dawg. It's a devastating high, to be sure, but then it knocks me right out. I can't imagine using an indica for daytime meds, although I realize not all indicas hit like Chem Dawg.

What I like about the ChemDawg is the speed with which it knocks me out, but also the high is splendid, for the short time I can appreciate it before I pass out. :laughtwo: It's one of the most potent strains I've come across, but then it knocks me out. :laughtwo: It'd be nice to enjoy that magnificent buzz a little longer.

So looking forward to watching her progress. Sorta looks like the stem got super cropped right at the soil line.

That little kink is so cute, eh? :laughtwo: I'll bury her a bit when I transplant and she'll grow more roots from there and be more stable when she gets tall and statuesque.

It was so cool to watch Jim. The tap root came up, and I thought it would be a concern, and then it did just what it's meant to do, it made a severe turn and plunged right down into the perlite, flipping the growing tip out of the plug and into the artificial sunlight. I'd never had the opportunity to watch this evolutionary dance played out where it could be witnessed. What a thrill. :battingeyelashes:

There are variations, but in general:

To me. a sativa feels like no high at all. - I have high energy. I am happy. I am probably healthy for it, but no buzz is detectable.
A sativa is like a pleasant cup of coffee with gentle body relaxation instead of jitters.

An indica is giggly, it affects my balance, it may make me sleepy, it make give me munchies. I feel stoned. My body gets very relaxed.
An indica is like the best parts of being drunk.

Understood. :laughtwo: Personally, I've never been much of a drinker. Dale and I did a spell for a couple of the years when I made us give up cannabis, but I quickly determined that it was much safer to have him high than drunk, so I rethought my erroneous forced prohibition. Then it was just a matter of getting him to agree with me.

I find it fascinating that you don't get a buzz from a sativa. How does the Carnival effect you?

I'll let you know when it's dry, probably friday.

I like the way you're training your plants Sue. The use what you have approach is great. I ruined my scrog net during harvest and I had some ropes and duct tape laying around. So this is how I train now :)

What Sativa have you smoked that didn't make you feel high? Just curious because Sativas F*CK me up! I do like indicas in the evening but like Sue said, they put me out pretty quick. A good sativa makes me feel like the beginning stages of shrooms. Very uplifting, a very pronounced shift in reality, my brain thinks in a very different way. I find I'm much more creative and perceptive. There is also a body effect later on as well. I know everyone is affected differently but I've heard others say they don't feel high on sativas I'm just trying to understand if it's your biology or the strain.

BTW Sue I am sampling the first Jamaican plant and I am very impressed so far. It's happy weed at its best. I walk around with a permagrin. I know it's not lambs bread/breath because it is done in about 8.5 weeks but I would put it at a nice sativa dom hybrid. I smoke mostly in the evening. I have no problem going to sleep on it but it doesn't knock me out. It is probably twice as potent as the Island grown version. I was quite surprised by this. It smells like Jamaica to me too. Everytime I smell it I get a flood of memories of being on the beach, it's a very familiar Jamaican smell if that makes any sense.

Oh Neiko, you have me sooooo excited!!! :slide: Mine is trucking along beautifully. I topped her just the other day.

I'd initially planned to keep her in a small pot, but I've changed my mind. She'll get her 7 gallons. She deserves it. :battingeyelashes:

The Malawi is starting to take off. :woohoo: I need a plan for her. I can tell already she'll be a challenge to contain. This is my first time growing something this whispy and potentially bushy. I keep envisioning her wrapping around the tent like you had to :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone

And it is a glorious morning. Stage showed up among us again, :circle-of-love: and hopefully this time he'll stick around longer to increase our joy levels. I don't know about you, but I've missed his gardens terribly.

Every morning I intend to have breakfast before I jump online, and every morning I get lost in the threads anyway until my stomach growls "Really Susan.....?" :laughtwo: Let me get out there and fix something nutritious. Porridge sounds like just the ticket. :battingeyelashes:

It's a brand new day full of potential to brighten your world with a little more joyfulness. This community is quite adept at helping you find that happy place, aren't they? It's what I'm here and not somewhere else. Lol! Have a wonderful day, bubbling over with the warmth of loving and the relief of laughter.

I'm ready to play. How about you? :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

DeVille, I love that adaptation! :high-five: The simple approach is always the best, IMHO.

So uh... I talked to the doctors this morning and apperently I have no more PTSD. How the hell did I do that? Well, I assume the doctors got something wrong because I was very depressive after what happend that week. But the doctors also told me that it is possible to have PTSD just for a few days or weeks and others have it for a few years. But well, I'm back in control and I still have a lot to catching up to do.

This is good news, yes? :hugs: All the more reason to get yourself on a daily cannabinoid dose to keep things moving in a positive direction. If you have a glitch in your neurons that causes these cascade events resulting in your feeling depressed I'd think a steady and consistent diet of cannabinoids would be something I'd be looking at.

Yeah I have been usimg some 6% CBD oil in my coffee 10 drops every morning and that did make me feel happy. Would you imagine what it would do if it was 15% CBD and 6%CBD?

Indeed, I believe it was most sativa- from what I recall. It was disorienting and mind shifting. To me anyway.
Flash forward to today, I get the bad effect from sativa anymore, agitated, paranoid, so i can totally understand. It happens to me, I love giggly, but it usually ends up with me being uncomfortable.
Since i dont consume anymore, I get to try the sativa-ish strains on my wife. she just like to get hi and kill the pain in her back.
But i keep coming back to pakistani kush crosses when i shop.

Me-still in search of the "one" from back in the day.

I have seen Hawaiian indica but not as often, mr nice spice supposed to be 50/50. I dunno just breeder info, all i got.

EDIT: Ok Found what I was looking for, gonna PM ya Rad.

Self portrait? :) PM Sent. :circle-of-love::peace:

Hahaha! That was my thought when I saw it. I had a moped right after college, and there was a time when the blonde hair was down to the lower back.

I got the PM. Already answered. And thank you Dave. :hugs: Quite a find. I'll post the link later on Cajun's thread if you don't first. :battingeyelashes:

Good morning everyone

Weekly Update: Veg Shelf - Friday, August 4, 2017

Time for an update. :slide: Let's start out with the young ones in veg.

IMG_95037.JPG

Carnival 4.2 (Day 50) I'll be honest here, and say that I had my doubts about the ability to get a useful plant in any decent time taking the cutting 21-days into flower, but she's proving my fears to be groundless. The hempy pots in here get fed with RX Green Solutions Grow Better nutrients, at a rate of 8 ml per gallon for parts A&B and half that amount for Growth. I can't say enough about how this nutrient line has transformed my garden into the lusciousness you see before you.

IMG_94746.JPG

As you can see, I'm beginning to pin her down to control vertical space.

IMG_94757.JPG

Leaves are just beginning to take on the proper development for vegging. :yahoo:

IMG_94807.JPG

Candy Cane 3 (Day 22) This is the prettiest Candy Cane so far. Lots of promise peeking through. Look at those lovely, shiny and bright leaves! She'll be transplanted into something more appropriate in size by next update. I need to max this girl out. Can't have the daughter running out again.

IMG_94855.JPG

Ultra Dawg 1.1 (Day 32) Thise nutrients brought this girl back from the brink of death to this promising lass. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Blue Dream S1 (Day 3). Didn't she pull through beautifully? I had great faith in MagicJim's talented hand in the breeding process and in the nutes as well. Last watering was 1/4 nutes, and this time she got 1/2 strength.

IMG_949010.JPG

IMG_94958.JPG

Thin Mint GSC 1.1 (Day 22) Her drink this morning was also 1/2 strength nutes. I'll give her at least another week in the cup before I transplant her. I'm thinking a larger pot and some training this time. Her mother is a tall one, and I'd like to curtail that into something more horizontally designed.

IMG_95025.JPG

Dark Slide (Day 31) She got a drink of plain water on Monday, July 31 and a foliar of Brix and Way Ahead this morning before lights on. Growth is beginning to accelerate.

IMG_95044.JPG

IMG_95056.JPG

IMG_95066.JPG

Unknown Jamaican Bag Seed (Day 26) I decided it was time to change her name, since we're fairly certain this one isn't Lamb's Breath. She's coming up on ten days since her last drink. Another slow drinker. That makes it more challenging to get all the drenches in. Hempy looks more attractive every week. There's an obvious difference in the vitality of my plants grown in soil in contrast to the hempy girls.

She also had her Brix + Way Ahead foliar this morning. I'm assuming a female. I'm joyfully expecting a female, and the universe typically gives me what I want, so my expectations are high.

IMG_95695.JPG

Another week or so and she'll be ready to get more soil under her.

IMG_95705.JPG

She's taking her time, but she'll get there eventually. Her top was removed 4 days ago, on the 30th.

IMG_95716.JPG

IMG_95724.JPG

Malawi (Day 21) Topped on the 31st, although I don't think that's gonna do much to slow her down once she starts to run. Lol! She took a Brix + Way Ahead foliar today.
