SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Cool idea

I agree Cannoisseuras. I wonder if we have a thread dedicated to the many ways we've found to successfully clone. I'm thinking of starting a central repository. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'll look around to see if such a thread already exists.

Lo and behold there is such a thread. :cheesygrinsmiley:

LMAO Cloning For Dummies

I've asked for permission to post simple techniques for successful cloning. If that's OK your method should certainly be included there DeVille. If you do so use good pictures. :battingeyelashes:

Good God, it's never dull in this room, is it?

ImHigh85 has invited any and all to contribute to his valuable thread dedicated to experimenting with simple and lazy cloning techniques. Please feel free to share your novel approaches. I haven't read his entire thread - it's been running for two years now - but the lab rat energy is high in his room. :slide:

Is that the one where they just put the clones in a glass of water? It sure doesn't take much. These plants have an incredible will to survive. My first attempts on cloning were however terrible. They died every time. Had a 0% success rate. That was until I figured out that the heat-mat was killing them. So I learned the "less is more" lesson the hard way. Seems I keep simplifying my methods rather than the opposite grow after grow.

So I went to amsterdam today and visited Barney's Farm! And bought 5 Red Diesel seeds and 1 gram of Vanilla Kush herbs and I just smoked it and it tasted really good but well because I never smoked it kind of hurts my throat

Alright!! :high-five: We'll have to get you trying other administration methods rik. Do you use a vaporizer or smoke joints? A vaporizer takes most of the sting out of inhalation.

And there's the secret, casual neglect and simplification. :battingeyelashes:

Yes, that is the thread. I'll have to take time to read through. It's a wealth of information. Will you be sharing your new approach over there?

I'm out along the river, enjoying a shady bench at the moment. It's 11 AM and I haven't had any cannabis yet today. I can't believe how high I still am. Didn't stop smoking until 3AM, but still. :thedoubletake: I'd been thinking I need a day off, but that's not gonna be today. :laughtwo: I'm planning on holding off capsules for a couple days to devote myself to the Panama Haze and Malawi. Figured Panama Haze today. That one catches the olfactory system with a stronger emotional tone. :slide: A few more minutes in this cool breeze, such a pleasant respite from the brutal heat that closed out last week.

I'm vibrating a strong note of joyful expectation today, anticipating wonderful things to fall into my experience. Try it, see what it can do to transform even the good life into something just a bit more sparkling.

Then share that joy any way you can. :hugs:

Later. :ciao:

Hey question SuperSue... and all you other experts:thanks::thanks::thanks:
Im cutting down the last 3 Auto's Today or tomorrow. Do you do anything Special before u harvest
48hrs Dark???
Dry soil, no water for XX days?

I wanna be sure I do these girls Right, Not that I didnt last ones, but its always a learning Experience

Thanks Sue as always for your wealth of Knowledge:circle-of-love:

I was just sitting and wondering if the photos I took were good enough to put together a blog-post about it. Perhaps it could be useful for someone. And it's a great idea to share it with the thread too :) Should perhaps simplify it even more first. Should try the same without rooting hormone or beneficial bacteria. Just soil+dome

Have fun Sue

I am DeVille, and thank you so much for caring. :laughtwo: The Panama Haze is potent..... whew! I keep taking a couple hits and getting lost. Lol! Think I'll take a couple more and treat myself out to dinner. It's such a lovely day I could stand to get in another walk to the river. :battingeyelashes:

My easy, low tech cloning method:

1 - Allow the leader(apical meristem) on a plant in veg to grow 12" taller than the last important branching site.

2 - Cut off the 12" stem and place it 3-4" deep in 1 gallon or more of well watered soil.

3 - After 15 days, water and feed nutrients as normal

This has worked for me 2 of 2 times, but I prefer my other easy method.

1- Cut off a 4" shoot near top of the plant

2 - Place in CloneBucket and wait for roots

Sorry, wrong thread. :laughtwo:

Hey Deville, thanks for your advice on cloning via the Jack Herer thread. I ditched the heating pad and added a bit of clonex solution to the batch I just took (getting rid of the heating pad when I did saved 3 out of the 6 initial clones I tried...they are putting on new growth in their transplanted pot). Those two simple things helped me pop 6 of 6 clones (in flower by the way) to root in 7-8 days in the humidity dome. I also had two going in the produce bag method (Toast's) and one of those rooted in 8 and the other I am still waiting on (though she has had some hiccups.....twice I came home to the produce bag with the clone on the floor for who knows how long....so that one might take another day or two). 7 out of 8 in 8 days sure ain't bad, and I am willing to bet the 8th will root soon despite her rolling around on the floor a couple times.

Nice journal! Fan of the kit myself :) anyway great job SweetSue

Why thank you SunWorshiper. :hugs:  :welcome: to my joyful journal. Pull up a seat and make yourself comfy. I do my best not to kill them and they reward me with lots of oil. :cheesygrinsmiley: Do you grow with the kit, or simply tempted?

Pot Chimp often shoves his cuttings into the pot of the mother, and they take too. I've yet to try cutting and planting immediately, but it certainly tempts me. Did you strip the "skin" and use rooting hormone?

I wonder if I could get this to work inside a bag?
