SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

To change a person's mind about cannabis being good, it is like growing, the info is the seed and it takes just one little seed, the right word at the right time, and knowledge and acceptance will come.

Sometimes it feels like " wish he/she would need the oil for pain, and I would have it, just to (with love of course) show him/her that it actually works."
I am battling my father in law this way. He only knows "pot heads smoke dope". Nothing else.

Yeah, thats a pretty common story.
Fact is if you're going to talk patients of an illness into using a product, you take on the responsibility of ensuring they are taken care to the best of your ability.
I personally don't dig people becoming caregivers of some type without at least some minimal training (other than 420).
This is a pretty good example. Sorry P., not trying to throw trash at ya bud.
I mention on my own thread several times that a beginner's dose is 1:20 minimum. Some need 50:1 even. I've been at this & the "Bio Bombs" for a day or two.
....so trust me! At least on dosing with my own regimen elements if nothing else. I promise not to sell ya ocean front property in Arizona.

Yeah, realize later it was irresponsible on my part, saying that, i would never of giving that dose to a person that was actually trying to heal or treat themselves rather then trying to get a "cheap Buzz" as my childhood friends were obviously more about. Will save my medicine for now on for people who will respect it and actually need it. Don't think i will have to worry about them asking me for more anyways :laughtwo::laughtwo:. Thanks Cajun for the little eye opener /l\.

When I first started on the oil, I had few people following what I was doing.
When I stopped oral & supps and went to tacking only, I almost killed them.
All of them, not just a few.
Their labs & tumor counts went crazy and most of them had to go back on chemo to get their tumor counts under control.
I don't ever want any of my friends here to go through the guilt I did.
They came to trust me again, but only after about a year of my own progress & education. Not all of them trusted me though.

That being said, I still show off to recreational users by doing exactly what you did with your friends. Lol.
That's how i got Sue to try her first Bio Bomb of I recall correctly.
I especially like to give them to the ones who brag on & on how they dab all day & nothing can get them too high.
Hehehe. A couple of hours later I have to convince them I didn't lace anything with acid.

One of my best recent memories mon ami. :laughtwo: It's what got me hooked on my capsules. It's all your fault Cajun. Lol!

Lol. I warned ya.

Yes you did Cajun, yes you did. Lol!

My project for today:

126 gm of leaves freshly harvested from my current Carnival, now two weeks into her flip. supergroomer shared with me the process he used to make an oil that helped him stay focused for hours with this same strain, at this same stage of development and growing in the same soil. The only variable is that mine's growing under the Budmaster GOD6. I have a walking buddy that should benefit from an oil made from these leaves.

Following Supergroomer's instructions I'll decarb the leaves in a roasting bag and toss them into the freezer for a time before I throw it all into the MB2 and turn out that specialized oil for this dear woman.

My personal policy has become to instruct and encourage to grow or process their own. In the case of my daughter and this particular friend I took the responsibility on to supply them. In both of these cases I was certain to be thorough in my instructions and there as much as possible until I was certain they were using it as per our discussions. In both cases we're seeing positive results.

I was giddy with excitement at first. When you hand over those first meds the reality of the responsibility you're accepting hits hard. I realized early on that my time and resources weren't up to the task of any more patients. I'm thankful I was that self-aware. I'm much more comfortable as a study resource at this stage of my life. Give me more space and all bets are off. :laughtwo: In the meantime I'll be studying my ass off.

supergroomer, how long did you decarb the leaves and at what temp?

I decarb for 40 minutes @ 250. I also usually trim at 25-28 days. Not sure what the strength difference will be at 14 days. I would usually use 3g trim per oz of oil, but you might want to increase that a bit since they are only 2 weeks into flower. :circle-of-love::peace:

 Missed that timing. I'll give it a go anyway. She doesn't mind being my lab rat. So far everything we've tried for her has worked. It'll be interesting to see the difference. I think I'll make a small batch with these leaves and try another in a couple more weeks when I'll need to trim her up again. She was bushy. I got 126 grams off her and she still looks like this.

After

I'm certain she'll need another trim in a few weeks.

Right now the first step is to lather, rinse and repeat, then get it decarbed.

Step Two: Decarb

The petioles get bound up around the paddle of the MB2, so I like to trim them off ahead of time.

The longer ones I also cut down a bit. I want them in the mix, but I'd prefer not to have to disentangle them after the oil's made.

Into the oven at 250 degrees F for an hour. Then into the freezer to settle everything before I open the bag.

I don't know about all of you, but I find every bit of the process a delight to perform. :battingeyelashes:

This sums of the last 2 years of my activity. I only have the wifey and now cat on my list of responsibility. ( sadly my BIL fell to C back in february, we were late but at least had oil to give him as comfort at the end.)
long strange trip, the last 2 years

Read sometime ago that the cannabinoid content for the shade leaves are the highest between 65-70 days from seed, does that seem right? or is it a misconception?

This is good information to know. Does this mean the content stays at that level? These leaves are 94 days.

It has been over a year ago that i read that, It was actually on a Raw cannabis juicing site. Not sure how accurate the info is that's why i was basically looking for any info to back it up.

Step Three: Make the oil

Take the decarbed leaves out of the freezer.

Into the Magic Butter machine with a cup of olive oil.

One hour at 160 degrees F. This machine makes life so easy. When it's done it'll let me know. Lol!

Step four: Strain and use.

I put one cup in, I got one cup out. Good squeezing Susan. :high-five: Pretty green, and smells delicious. I was salivating the entire time it was cooking. :laughtwo:

We'll try these for her. If they don't work I'll use the oil myself, just as a supplement or cooking ingredient. Of course that'd assume I'm cooking again. Lol! No cannabinoid goes to waste around here.

OUTSTANDING visuals and REPS+

Dark Devil Auto oil

It's been a busy day around my apartment. I was able to decarb the Carnival leaves because the DDA2 oil was done with its 36-hr cook.

IMG_049536.JPG

IMG_049643.JPG

I ended up with 86 capsules from 1/2 cup of coconut oil, 1 TBS of liquid sunflower lecithin and 7 grams of DDA2 buds and sugar leaves.

Tonight I'm testing the harvest of DDA3. Tomorrow I'll test these out and find the dose.

My kind of day. :cheesygrinsmiley:
