Final results. Needed more oil. Best proportions (using the block beeswax) 1c grape seed, 1c coconut 1/2c (4oz) beeswax. This now has the right consistency.
The "general" recipe I use, which is based on non-MMJ ointments, suggests to mix the beeswax at a 1:5 ratio with oil. I mixed at 1:5 and it seemed to come out "right". I just included the infused coconut oil as part of that "5" in the 1:5 ratio of beeswax to oil. I start with the beeswax and measure that (which is 1 "part"), then add the infused oil, then top with grapeseed or safflower, etc. to make the mix exact 1:5.
It seems you have a 1:4 ratio, which is probably close although a little thicker. Did you use a blender and "whip" it, or just pour as an ointment/salve?
