Hi, I'm back again.
Sue, have a lovely vacation!
17/18 inches of snow on the ground here.......

OK, can someone PLEASE point me to one thread that gives clear instructions for the novice grower? I don't have time to read through what seemed to be several hundred threads in the "grow" forum. I need info for an inside start, in some sort of soil/medium; just a few plants. Nothing fancy, I just need to be able to make CO since I can't get it here (Which sucks big time!)
Anyone want to PM me, feel free....I am in need of serious help.
Thanks!!

The easiest way might be to point you to the one section where most of your single questions can be answered without having to wade through a bunch of extra crap. Just the facts you might say. Take a hairy eyeball at the link below and you'll find answers a heck of a lot quicker than in everyone's grow journals.

How to Grow Marijuana - Everything You Need to Know!

GiGi, Sue,

You do have a touch when it comes to oils. I have a few questions about some infused grape seed oil I made that you may have some thoughts on.

The posts are on another thread and scattered over several pages. I would like to condense them and repost them here, hopefully sometime tomorrow. That would get everything in one place and save some skipping around for you.

It is not anything elaborate that I did. It is just that some of the results were unexpected. Everything is rather well documented.

Sue,
I had a thought for your new thread to replace this one "Sue's Garden of Healing, an Oasis". We could call it the "O". [;>)

I never know

I never spend more than one day at a time in Ottawa, but I really like that city. Good food, great places to walk about, I have spent many good happy nights there.

Cheers:cheer:

Yes it's a good size - big enough to have lots of things to visit, small enough that it's not crazy. I've met some people from Rio. To them it's a little town :)

Well I have read something about vegative edible glycerine or something? I have no idea...

I make a glycerine tincture from time to time. It is very sweet tasting. I keep a small 1oz dropper bottle when I can't use other means. A couple droppers and I am good for a bit. I infuse it the same way as an oil, 1g per oz. Decarb, crush up, add to glycerine with 1T of liquid sunflower lecithin per cup, and cook for 4 hours @ 200. Strain and you are good to go. (Carefully strain while hot. It is much harder to do after it has cooled). PM me if you want a site for the best prices on glycerine. :circle-of-love::peace:

For infused oils, I like coconut oil for my edibles. It goes great in brownies. For topical, I infuse grape seed oil. When I am using CCO I prefer tacking. It works well for me. For the Glycerin tincture, I just put 2 or 3 dropperfuls in my mouth and swallow it. :circle-of-love::peace:

took two days to finish it!!

Gigi, I'm so touched. :laughtwo: Beautiful girl. I can't roll one to save my life. Lol! They pass joint's around here like they're nothing. It takes me days to finish one too.

So, you did the decarb before you took it in for testing?

Mike, neiko is here in Jamaica with me. I'll ask him when I see him later and get back to you.

You brought DDA capsules with you? How did you manage to do that? Can't dogs sniff it in your bag?

I'm making canna-infused pain cream and a friend at work said I should take it with me to the Dominican in two weeks but Felonious thinks it's a bad idea.

Because they're capsules and I had them packed in my suitcase I guess they figured they assumed they were vitamins. Leaving your home country they're concerned about explosive devices. Coming back they sniff out the cannabis.

Welcome back Ali. I was wondering where you wandered off to. You need to start assuming you're going to heal. It's only a matter of time before your ECS and Cannabis can do something about that pesky cancer that wanted to make you scared, but you have time. As you await your first harvest, do yourself a favor and make any changes you can in diet and lifestyle to support your ECS.

Then, when you finally have oil to work with your own ECS is now better able to accommodate the increase in cannabinoids and begin to get this cancer back under control.

What kind of budget are you looking at for a grow Ali? You'll likely want a soil mix that keeps it very simple. Our members work in a wide variety of soils. I'm sure we can help you narrow the choices down.

If you really want personal help with every aspect of the grow, consider a grow journal of your own. It's an invaluable resource to have a home address that members can visit and answer your questions quickly and efficiently.

You're gonna be just fine Ali.

The first thing you need to figure is how much (and how many) grow spaces to have. Will you use just one for veg and flower or have 2, one for each. IMHO tents are the easiest way to go. I have 2 tents side by side with a carbon filter in each one They come out of the tents to a "T" into my fan and exit out to the attic. I have a perpetual garden growing were I will harvest 1 plant every 2 or 3 weeks. I have 4 plants flowering in a 3x3 tent at any given time. I try to put a new plant into flower every time I cut one. It is a bit a of a balancing act until you get it going. I use Mars-Hydro equipment. There are better products out there, but it is hard to beat the price point on the MH stuff. Good quality at a far price.

I am also running Doc's High Brix soil. That is too much for you to start with. You can get online or from a hydro store every thing you need to start. What worked for me in the beginning was Fox Farms Ocean Forest (FFOF). The problem with it, is it can be a little hot (too many Nutes) for young plants. What I do with is is get 1 bag FFOF, 1 bail Promix BX and 1 bag Perlite. I mix one part each and it gives a soil with good runoff and nutes. If you cant get the BX, the HX has more Perlite already in it.

Lastly, start a journal and show us what you are doing. We can all help you!!!:circle-of-love::peace:

If that isn't a sweet sight!
If I had one hit from that I think I would promptly hit the floor for 2 days.

I was in Rio a long time ago, big place, but I dont remember much else.
I imagine I like Ottawa because I too am a city dweller. I do like the possibilities available in my small city
especially the food options.

It took me awhile to figure it out, too, Canyon. :thumb:

OMG I just caught that the oil was on the rolling paper. I thought it was on parchment. I have tried lots of ways to get even oil distribution in a joint.

Best

Hello everyone I have a question sweet said you all might be able to give me an answer can I use 31 grams of trim to make decent oil or will it be weak

Further updates on my wife's treatment for her Rheumatoid arthritis.

She has been taking two of the 20:1 Bio bombs each day, one in the morning and one and bedtime.

She is experiencing noticeable improvements. The pain is not as sharp. As she put it earlier today, "In the past week, I've only had the broken glass in my veins once, where before it was daily." She seems to sleep a lot.

On the negative, she is losing weight, perhaps too much.... She just doesn't have much of an appetite. I continue to tempt her, but its an ongoing struggle for her to eat. She has not lost so much that she's in danger yet, so we'll see.

So, that is our results with the 20:1 Bio Bomb. We are very encouraged and have a suspicion that she is healing.

So, now my question is: How soon should she move to 10:1, and then on to 5:1?

That's our next step, and I'd be grateful for your input.
