Does anybody use hemp oil as a component in their oils?

I have heard of it, but not done it myself. One of the main reasons is hempseed oil requires refrigeration after opening.

I do take 1 tablespoon of hempseed oil every morning with breakfast though. Usually take it right from the spoon with a milk chaser!

Hi everyone, just want to stop by and introduce myself. I'm only up to page five, so I've a long way to go, but I'm certainly enjoying the comradarie, not to mention the expertise in the group.

I'm an old hippie from the 60s- nuff said. One interesting story from back then was, we heard about this "oil" that one could make from boiling MJ in ISO alcohol. In about '73, I just happen to have a couple of pounds of homegrown so we thought we'd give it a try. Well, hours and hours later, bottle after bottle of (probably) 70% ISO, we ended with the blackest, most nastiest (is that a word?) looking stuff that tasted like, well, you know, oil! LOL! We obviously didn't know what the hell we were doing and ended up throwing it out!

Looking forward to the conversation!

Hey, nice to see you around medmanmike!

LOL! I can relate! My first extraction, I soaked the bud for 2 weeks in 99% iso shaking every couple of days. After purging and drying is when I realized that LSD is nothing compared to marijuana! LOL! I crawled on my hands and knees to my bed. I was down for 4-6 hours with constant panic attacks. Weirdest thing I ever experienced. Never soaked it that long again! Matter of fact, never soaked it more than a minute or two since then.

This made a very dark, very potent oil that I would not normally consider cannabis extract!! Not sure what to call it.

With the right strain(s), patience, and experience you can achieve this:

This is over 60 grams of oil. I mixed two batches of oil together for maximum medicinal properties. Together the strains are: TGA Querkle, TGA Qush, Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough, and my 4-G bag seed strain. About 8 months from start to finish since I was dealing with two different crops.

Every household should have cannabis oil in their medicine cabinet!

I use it to dilute my cannabis and hemp CBD oil. It goes rancid very fast, so I keep mine in the freezer and only mix small batches (that I then keep out - for a week or two weeks. I love the smell, the taste and the color, though :) I also use it on my face.

For some reason I can't figure out how to get to the responses I'm getting. I've tried answering them when I get an email, but I just can't figure this out. Ugh! What do I do? How do I find and read ppls responses? Please help!

Hi Calhrt welcome to a special place :welcome:

Im not sure of the question.. Are you having trouble with Private Messages? I've never used the email (person to person) feature but if that s the problem area others will be along.

An email to advise of a response usually contains a link to the message/post/thread in the content.

I'm not certain what you're referring to Calhrt. When I get an email alert the link brings me to the post, and I respond there.

I'm getting ready to board my flight, so I won't be back on for hours and hours. :slide: Hopefully someone else can help you out. If not, try contacting a mod about it. They're pretty omnipotent and capable of doing most anything you might need. :battingeyelashes:

Have a wonderful day everyone.

G'day - thats an Ottawa Valley thing.

Teddy E kindly pointed out a forum Ive never found before: 420International Organized by Country within Continent

Canada

I'll be using that to post about things of interest to Canadians or those who are wondering whats happening here. Methinks a better place than the study hall :)

Get on that plane woman

I'm having a very happy morning. Holy hell there's a forum about Canada, and many other countries, I have never found. Thanks Teddy E for directions :) I'll be using that a lot.

Your buds might not have too much CBN providing they were stored air tight. You will know if they do because they will cause a weed hangover. Regardless, if they were stored sealed, those buds should be fully decarbed. I explain it here: naturally-decarbed-buds-flowers-alternative-decarbed-concentrates
Just use them to make a concentrate utilizing the QWET or QWISO method and you should be good to go! Better yet, eat the raw bud!

I came to this journal to see if anyone knew how canna honey (bees make honey from MJ) can effect you without being decarbed and found your blog which is very interesting. I will try this. I'm still curious how canna honey works without being decarbed? Any ideas?

Interesting. My first reaction was that bees collect nectar not resin, but quick websearch found article on guy that claims he trained bees to collect resin. I'm skeptical about how much resin actually goes into honey. Then again, 16 months ago I was skeptical that cannabis could treat cancer. This is definitely worth looking into more. Thanks.

Yes, interesting to say the least. More info is needed. This is from Krips journal:

All natural canna honey! Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bees eat trichomes? Happy bees.

Forgetting if or how cannabis compounds get in the honey, it would naturally decarb over time I think. Lots of benefits from all the non thc compounds may be part of the interest.

Back on the skeptical side of fence on MJ honey. Another video on YouTube pointed out that female flowers were sprayed with sugar water to get bees. Male flowers might have some nectar but females not. Doesn't rule out that bees are collecting resin, but if he is spraying sugar water to get them to do it then it's not natural honey as advertised. Maybe even a step back from infused honey. No longer seeing advantage to Trainerbee's process if it even works.

I'm not sure especially if the hives are outside in a cold climate.

Does anyone remember timeframe in recent posts about storing CCO to naturally decarb? Was it a couple of months maybe?

The THC does not effect the bees because they do not have an endocanibinoid system. Naturally decarbing over time makes sense but how much time....?
