SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

Hi Sara.

Glad to help.

FYI - At the bottom left of every post, there's a link to "Blog this post". I tend to do that with stuff I want to remember. You might find that helpful, too if your memory is as good as mine. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you so much!! It's amazing what happens when the anxiety takes hold. It ended my academic career, that's for sure. And well, everything :) Lorazepam stopped working for me, as well, when I took it daily for several months. That was when I started weaning off. It only works as something to take occasionally. I can see how easily people get addicted to it! You constantly need more and more to help, and then, after 24 hours, you get a withdrawal that is eerily close to the anxiety that required the pill to begin with.

I'll look up those strains and see if I can start to build a knowledge base (that I'll probably forget because I forget everything now. haha!) But I'd like to learn. I'm so glad you found what you were looking for - as well as a doctor who would prescribe!

Speaking of getting out into nature to help with anxiety. I've gotta admit that hiking became my lifeline last fall when I was off work. I told people that hiking was my meditation. There's a bench at the top of one of the hills that looks out over the lake and I would get to the top of that hill and lean against the bench (because it's too tall to sit on comfortably), shut my eyes and take deep breaths and I was totally at peace. I highly recommend finding your own happy spot.

Yikes, I'm sorry you went through such a hard time. But if you improved your life because of it, I'm so glad!

It sounds like you and I have similar philosophies on living a good life. Getting out into nature more is definitely something I'm craving but haven't been doing enough. I know it would help. My problem is this area kind of scares me - and nobody else wants to go out and play like I do. I used to be a runner, and I honestly think that is what kept me balanced hormonally and mentally for many, many years. The hours outside, the meditation, the exercise itself. It works wonders. Walking simply doesn't compare for me, so healing the pain that keeps me from running would be a huge benefit, too :) My anxiety started almost 1 year after I couldn't run anymore. I know it isn't the only thing that contributed, but as soon as I stopped running, I noticed my hormones went all haywire - before the anxiety started.

It seems like most people chiming in here are agreeing that a very low THC is the way to go - Sue called it for me from the beginning. I need to insist on that, raw and non-psychotropic or not.

And try not to be afraid of trying more :)

I am not Sue, but here you go. ;) How to Make a Grow Journal. After you start your journal, put a link to it in your signature (It will show up at the bottom of each of your posts) so people can click on it and help. You can post pics Photo Gallery Guide - How to Resize, Upload & Post Photos. I hope these links help. :circle-of-love::peace:

Thank you so very much I will give it a shot!!!!

Have fun. That's really what it's all about. :hugs:

supergroomer, thank you for holding down the fort. It made me smile to realize we've become an actual study hall, a room where curious people gather, and now members are wandering in and out with a casual air, in the most natural way.

This pleases me. It's time to start the next two threads. I'm planning one on strengthening the ECS and another on building and maintaining the positive mindset that helps you heal and keeps you in balance. I'll start with the ECS. I just need to get the doors to those rooms open.

It's a beautiful day filled with glorious possibility, yes? Here we go, another day to fill with joyful expression. :hugs:

:thumb:Looking NICE! Training certainly improves yield! I seldom do much more than a few branches these days, usually just trimming/thinning a bit and hanging a few weights on select branches within the grow to open up the plants. Just kind of lazy I suppose! :passitleft: You might try the weight hanging thing! It's faster and easy for me as compared to wiring up all the branches. That became an issue for me back when I had a larger grow and was working 12-14 hour days outside. I use small shower curtain like hooks, s hooks or whatever, with various weights(table cloth weights, large steel nuts, again whatever! A few branches pulled out and down a few leaves removed and move on for me. Keep it green!

That's brilliant livetoskate! I never thought to make the spiral. So simple in the end. Reps for that. You're gonna feel that rep tap. Lol!

I stopped momentarily to let you know I opened up a new thread and I believe some of you - well each of you - has something to contribute to this latest community project.

The link is the first one in my signature line. I'm still shaking from having that much pour out of me, so I'm gonna go try and sit for a while. I'd go walking but I'm planning that later with my friends. I get to combine two excellent ways of strengthening my ECS, exercise and sharing the company of loving friends. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks I only use the spiral when the branches are to strong to hold down . I got the idea from tent spikes simple little things to make life easier !!! Live&Love&Learn !!!!

I really like your happy spot.

My wife and I have a spot that looks almost exactly like this, except ours is at the BOTTOM of the hill. :) :circle-of-love::peace:

It's so sweet that these fit right into the study hall, so they can't be considered off topic. Your happy spots are part of what you do to strengthen your ECS. :battingeyelashes:

Time to get back to that thread. Then you can all share these pictures over there. I may not get this one up today. The one on Joy caught me off guard. :laughtwo:

I like you. I like you a lot. :battingeyelashes:  That was wonderful. I'll have you know I drank more water and shifted my position on the floor as I read that. :laughtwo: I work sitting cross-legged on the floor. Can't do furniture anymore.

These are more excellent ideas on strengthening the endocannabinoid system. I took a course on that the other day, and I'm tempted to start a thread on strengthening the ECS beyond cannabis. What do you guys think? We just need someone to set up the room and open the door. If need be I can be that person, but I openly encourage one of you to take a stab at it. Then everyone who wants to can share their story on how they strengthen theirs.

I've noticed a high percentage of our members are quite adept at enhancing their body's ability to heal. There should be a central place for those stories so that someone hurting can find practical suggestions that've worked.

That alert, active guy should keep on jotting and sharing. He's a good communicator of ideas we can all benefit from. :hugs:

Hey I finally made it back. An old fella can get pages behind in this thread in a hurry.

Appreciate your kind words and good suggestions as always.

Cajun's gonna want to smack me when he finds out about this, and rightfully so. *sigh* Make it a soft one mon ami. Remember my heart's in the right place and take comfort that I figured it out within a couple days. I got lost in the beauty of the high. I'll be typing this through tears as I come to grips once again with my myopic nature and my joy of living in Susanland. :Love:d

And the high has been blissful.

A couple days ago I stumbled onto a surprise I'd hit on by accident last year, when I didn't have enough stock to repeat my mistake. And then Dale died, and life froze, and I forgot. I made that same mistake the other day. I forgot I was decarbing and left it in for 90 minutes. It made the high ........ Geez guys, I can't even begin to tell you how much more powerful it made the bud. More than twice, in my opinion. Quite frankly, I've never been this high, and I've been smoking for 40 years, and smoking this same bud for a month. I assure you, this doesn't smoke like the same stuff after the 90 minute decarb.

What just hit me was the thought that it somehow potentiates the THC, and wouldn't that mean it would increase the medicinal value of that same THC? I'm getting significantly higher with this process. That means the THC is more potent, does it not? You see the implications?

Thoughts?

I'm not crying anymore. I started to get really excited after the apology. That was an apology mon ami, in case that wasn't clear. :hugs:

Sue what temperature were you at for this 90minute cook?
