SweetLeef's Gone Muy Loco! Tijuana EbbnFlow - 4 Autos in Supersoil

I found a great recipe/tutorial for that tincture we tried. Not much of a recipe, just the two ingredients! I LOVED that stuff!!:Love::Love: Hoping the clone is ready to come home. This is going to be a great grow!! I am really excited about it.

We've gotta get some Harlequin. Clone or seed, that's the strain we're after for the next grow!

Obama is in the tent. Her EnF is up and running.

She had a little bit of a rough time moving from the cloner to the pot of rockwool, but her roots are already pretty massive so I am quite confident that she will pull through. I will take pictures tomorrow morning if she seems a little happier or tomorrow night to let her get a little more acquainted with her new home :)

I have my first batch of Beni's brewing.

Rosie Cotton, seems to have a little deformity. I am not too worried about it as my last run of autos had a couple of slight mutations. a couple of 4 and 6 blade leaves. Not a huge deal just thought I would mention it.

Princess Savina seems to have fully recovered from her slight phosphate deficiency and with looking nice and green again. She should be good until the end.

Lindy Berger is having the easiest time so far. Her transplant went off without a hitch and she wasn't showing a deficiency yet.

Plants seem happy so far! I will change the res tomorrow. I think I will try bumping the nutes up to a 1/2 dose and see how Rosie takes it. I'm ready for her to start getting bigger :)

Hope all is green and good in your land!

Hey MagicMediwana, hope you are doing well.
I made my very first tincture over the weekend. Tried it topically and it worked. I am very interested in perfecting this stuff. Was the tutorial online somewhere?

Hi Sweetleef,
we were posting at the same time. LOL
You are going to be busy this round. Muy Loco in your title is right on the money! LOL
One of my autos started out with some weird leafs too, but seems to be recovering. No worries. :high-five:
Have a great green day!

Hi there Canna! I am doing well, thank you! Hope you are too. I did a quick google search to find out the basics for the cannabis vegetable glycerin tinctures. SweetLeef and I tried one last week, it was really good. I would love to have high CBD tinc that I can use throughout the day for it's neuroprotective properties, and use the higher thc for my other medical needs-including pure enjoyment. Did you use an alcohol base or glycerin? Glad to hear it worked for you! Pretty amazing plant!

Sweet update Leaf! I wish I had named my girls. Yours sound so much more interesting. I really want to know how Rosie Cotton, Obama, Lindy and the Princess are doing. Much better character development than looking in on an G13.

:Namaste:

Bob ;)

Hi MagicMediwana! Thanks for the info. I've been all over google myself. LOL
I did the alcohol base with the Everclear. However, alcohol and my system do not like each other anymore so next time I will use the glycerin method. I don't have any choice except topical application right now.
Using the grain alcohol, putting that tincture under your tongue burned like holy heck. LOL
I just love this plant and the things I will be able to do with it!

Hey Canna, SweetLeef said he has tried the alcohol tincs and had the same reaction as you. :cheesygrinsmiley: He thinks holding that in your mouth, or worse yet, under your tongue, is a terrible idea. I would tend to agree! Sweet did make up a topical that he says goes on really nicely, not greasy or sticky. Perhaps something like that would work for you?

Good morning SweetLeef! I am ready for more baby pictures!! And I'm wondering how the clone is settling in to her new digs??:blunt::green_heart::green_heart:

Morning all!

So everything is looking pretty good in he tent, except Michelle Obama is looking a little sad. She was droopy yesterday and today she is looking a tiny bit wilty. I cut the watering frequency yesterday because she looked overwatered. She looks a little worse this morning, but for the moment I will stay the course, because I don't really have any more ticks up my sleeve. Just hoping she'll adapt to her new home. The rest of the girls looks pretty good.

Here you can see the mutation I mentioned earlier. It's kinda cute :)

And here is a pic of the tea I am brewing. Should be ready tomorrow morning.

that's my update for now, anybody have any ideas about Michelle? will she bounce back in a couple of days?

Not being familiar with ur medium I can't comment on Michelle Obama.

Real curious on your tea: 1) ingredients? 2) water source 3) length of time bubbling?

Humor me if u have the time.

Yeah, she looks a little sick there. Only thing I can say is that if you feel it was an over watering issue, you will have to give it time to dry out. Make sure it's got good drainage and there is enough air flow to give it drying opportunity.
Great update! Love the tea brewing!

HEy Sweet, hope everything is going well. I can almost certainly state that you are not experiencing an overwatering issue. In my experience with the Grodan cubes (as well as Capn's advice) overwatering a plant in a porous material such as these rockwool cubes could only be achievable if the roots are submerged long enough to constrict oxygen take up (around 20-30min). Other than that, all excess nutrient solution should completely drain out within seconds, leaving an oxygen rich environment for the plant.

I can tell you that when I am in vegetative growth, I water my plants from seedlings till about 4-6 weeks by hand, once a day without hesitation. I then increase the the feed frequency to 2x a day in late veg, and 3-4x a day in Flower. During these feeding schedules my automatic pump is set to 15 minute intervals of watering each time.

Now with all that being said, it almost looks like the beginning of an underwatering problem. Of course I cannot fully conclude form the picture without handing over some info;) WHat are you feeding it? How often a day when this happened, and with what quantity?

Here is what some of my seedlings looked like when I forgot to water them as often as I thought I should :laughtwo:

Hey CO! Thanks for the good question, I mentioned the tea in my first post on this thread, but that was a WHILE ago. So I think it's about time we bring it back up. :)

PER GALLON of distilled, aerated or RO water

- 1 tsp (5mL) Mycogrow soluble

- 1 tsp (5mL) ZHO powder

- 3/4 tbsp (11.25 mL) unsulfured molasses

- 1/8 cup (30 mL) Ancient Forest

The water comes straight from the tap. They don't add chlorine to our water, so I don't worry about off gassing. I just start bubbling and add the ingredients. When I took the picture, the tea had been brewing for about 18 hours. I will brew for about 53 or so hours because of my sleep schedule. It's starting to make a nice foam and will be good and ready tomorrow morning when I wake up. I made a 3 gallon batch.

Hoping the Obama will hold out until the morning, and that some benies will help straighten her out.

Well the plot thickens.

The seedling has been doing great in the EnF. Flooding for 20minutes every 2 hours. The clone I got had some seriously huge roots, about as long as my. Since she had such major roots, I figured if my little seedling could take it, the clone with all these roots should be fine too. Well, she got droopy and was looking overwatered. I thought she just wasn't used to getting that much water. So I gave the plants a 6 hour break during lights out and now they are flooding 20 minutes every 4 hours. She looks worse tonight. Should I increase her watering? There is no way I would be giving her that much water by hand.

I am running the plants on the same res flooding at the same time. Maxibloom powder 1/4 strength of the lucas formula. The seedling is thriving and Obama is really not doing well. I'm not sure how to help her. My buddy has another cutting started for me incase she doesn't take.

I'm hoping she'll pull through, her top most leaves look alright, but everything below the top few are curling up. Bummer.

Okay given that info, the problem could have started before you acquired the clone. If all aspects are EXACTLY the same between the seedling and the affected clone, then you have to assume that your feed and watering frequency is appropriate.

Though I can still completely rule out over warring, you still seem to have a problem. Couple of things I noticed was that the leaves are twisting and drying out from the bottom of the plant, working its way up. With some of the upper foliage starting to 'wrinkle'up. In my experience, this was caused by a high pH. Are you experiencing any necrosis in the veins? Do you have a pH meter?

I would ask your buddy what conditions, exactly, he put the clone in after cutting it and before giving it to you. Plant problems can still sore themselves 1-2 weeks after the actual problem might have been corrected. But in this case it seems to be present.

Word.

I don't have a PH meter yet. I wont be able to get it for a couple of weeks after y trip next week. I just have the GH test kit at the moment.

Tested the res before changing it, and PH was at 6.0. Talked to my buddy and he keeps his clones between 6 and 6.5.

Could I have damaged the roots while planting? Would that cause the plant to act in such a way?

Fed some benies and added some to the res as well. We should be teaming with good bacteria and hopefully it will sort out whatever problem out little girl is having. Not to mention boost growth in the autos!

Obama doesn't look worse, I think she'll lose the really curled leaves, but the smaller leaves don't seem to be curling. She may just pull through. If I have time in the morning I'll snap some pictures.

Savina, Lindy and Rosie all look great! I love watching seeds grow. They grow hard!

Fingers crossed for the little clonie!
