SubCool Supersoil In SIPs With EWC, CBD Autos For Aspergers

Hi all.
Please join me on my new thread. :welcome:
This thread will stay open for 6-7 weeks until I finish flowering, but then we hope to shift to a greenhouse grow (to save on costs).
:thumb:

How far away? What I used were outdoor-grade extension cords routed inside electrical conduit, either metal or PVC.
That might work.
I just saw the top photo, they have an electrical service at the white house, which is I am guessing 100-150 meters/yards.
(Very doable.)
In order to stuff the cord into the conduit, you need to cut off one of the female plug end. But you can easily add a new plug once the cord comes out the other end, and connect it to a power strip (or 2) to provide multiple outlets for your lighting. The extension cords are very flexible, so it's easy to route them in the conduit.
It is worth thinking about.
But the power also goes out here a lot, so the solar thing *might be more reliable.
If you can route the AC power to the greenhouse, then you'll have access to normal LED bulbs, which only need to go on for a few minutes in the middle of the dark period. What I do is 12 midnight, 2am, and 4am. I use a digital timer to control the power to the lights. Here's one on the River that looks good HERE. Here's the cords w/ switches that I use for the bulbs, HERE. This way you can move the bulbs around and position them as needed.
Thanks. I will check it.
We are supposed to go there in two weeks. If AC is better I will go that way, but one way or another I will need a battery backup.
If you can't route extension cords, one of these would work to provide solar AC power, $110. The unit can provide 80 watts (peak 120), so you could run 8 x 11 watt LED full spectrum bulbs (or 8 x 9 watt).
Wow, that looks great!
Only, they will not ship it here. :(
(I think they have some restriction against shipping batteries to Colombia, not sure why.)
:(

mmm, good point. => Solar AC

We have the same problem here in Hawaii w/ Amazon. I think it's because of air cargo... they don't like lithium batteries on planes. But sometimes when I find a product marked as "does not ship to your location," I can sometime find a similar one that does ship... go figure.

EDIT: Yeah, I don't think they'll ship any of them to Colombia. You could just do a small solar power setup. Get one of these combo inverter/charge controller (or similar)... nothing fancy, just for low-wattage lighting. And then grab one deep cycle battery from a local supplier, 12v. And then you just need a solar panel, for example.

Outstanding!
I have to run right now, but I hope to check these links later!
This and a deep-cycle battery could be it. +1

If you think you may want the system to be expandable—i.e. more solar panels and batteries—then I recommend getting a pure sine wave inverter and a separate charge controller. These low-cost systems are really easy to put together... I'm happy to answer any questions and recommend equipment.

Thank you, CBDHemp.
Yes I would like to continue this conversation later, if you don't mind, in some weeks or months, as we get to that point.
We will definitely want some kind of solar. (There is a small creek that we *may be able to dam for a mini-hydro, but that remains to be seen.)
It would be great to have power for when we get power drops and brownouts.
:thanks:

This Afghan Mass XXL Auto is scaring me!
IMG_2884.jpeg

It is exactly 2 months old today. It is 40 inches tall from the base of the soil to the top of the highest cola.

IMG_2911.jpeg

Ok, I thought I should check in.
AMXXL is officially scary! It's almost 45 inches tall.
It was planted on 8/11, so that's like 2 1/2 months.
It's finally starting to slow down on water intake!
00 Seeds nailed this one!

Ok, we are now heading into full flower. The girls are starting to slightly drop their water consumption, and the buds are starting to get thicker, And the pistils are starting to turn brown, so I thought I should take a tour and then ask for some advice...

This is Cookies & Cream indica. She is supposed to have strong mold resistance, but I have no idea what she taste like. (I cut a sample but I haven't checked it yet.)
IMG_2912.jpeg

This is that crazy Afghan Mass XXL (which flavor I love).
My congratulations to 00 Seeds!
If I buy any more autos, I'm definitely going to seek out the XXL genetic. She is almost as tall as the two sativa photos in the back!
:morenutes:
IMG_2913.jpeg

This is Northern Light CBD. I love this plant! The only problem is that the unknown CBD strain that they crossed it with is maybe not so mold resistant. If she flowers well in this room, then she's worth trying in the greenhouse in the torture test.
I have two good clones. (If she survives the mold and mildew torture test, then she is a keeper!)
Hahaha, 😆 sorry, it is kind of hard to see the cannabis trees because of all the leaves! But she smells good!

IMG_2914.jpeg

This is the Cookies and Cream 1:1 sativa pheno. I have one good clone upstairs, she's still struggling to come out of flower but she looks good.
No branching or foxtailing, but the buds are starting to fatten up pretty good.

IMG_2915.jpeg

This is one of two CBD Jam hybrids. She supposed to have minimal mold resistance. I might try it if we were going into summer but I don't think it's wise to try to flower her going into winter so gonna let her go for now.

IMG_2916.jpeg

Sorry, not the best photo.
Oops! Someone is coming over (just texted) so I'll have to finish this later.
Everyone's looking good! 👍
Thanks to everyone for your help.
:thanks:

:woohoo:

Ok, let me see if I can finish.
Hahaha 😂 , I am not sure if you can really tell anything from these photos, it's just a big massive green leaves and buds!

This is two females of that little Kush Flash VanStitch regular auto. I'm guessing they call it flash because it's supposed to go from seed to finish in 60 days. It is not going to have a lot of bud. It should just be kind of an interesting taste. Probably it will not hardly even use up the soil.

IMG_2917.jpeg

This is Deep Mandarine, all indica (SBR CBD). She smells great, too bad she will probably never make it outside, so no clones.

IMG_2918.jpeg

This is the second CBD Jam hybrid. I am not sure if you can really tell anything from these pictures.

IMG_2919.jpeg

This is Peyote Wi-Fi CBD. She is 2:1 CBD/THC. I think I'm in love.
Some of her arms are falling over so I had to tie her up with a cord.

IMG_2920.jpeg

She knows frost.
Sorry, the fans are waving the buds around. She smells so good!

IMG_2921.jpeg

Another Afghan Mass XXL Auto looking tall and strong.

IMG_2922.jpeg

And a third Afghan Mass XXL looking delicious,

IMG_2923.jpeg

And finally, a Dr. Seedsman mother. I have two clones that look good.
Sorry, not the best pictures. I was trying to send pictures that show the whole plant, but I think I'm gonna go back to the other way next time.

IMG_2925.jpeg

In general, everything is doing good! I wish I had had more time to let the Indica and hybrids get bigger, but we are trying to shut and out of control electricity bill down, and get everything moved over to the farm.

The clones and seedlings are looking good. I hope the post about them on my greenhouse thread.
Thanks everyone for your help.
At this point I'm just feeding them and watching them finish up. And watching out for mold.
I might cut a few fan leaves just to make sure we have good airflow.
:thanks:

Hahaha, I am not sure why I subjected everyone to the victory shots, haha, it feels like old 35mm slides! Hahahaha!
I wish I could have let them grow a bit bigger, but so far the grow is successful.
I think this supersoil thingy is going to work for us on the farm, and there are very few bugs, compared.
I took clones from NL CBD sativa, Cookies & Cream 1:1 sativa, and 2 of the Dr. Seedsman 30:1 clones made it. (I guess I killed the others :-/ )
I am transitioning over to the other thread, but I did have one question.

These were bought through a sponsor.
This is Seedsman Cookies & Cream, sativa pheno. It is supposed to be 1:1, and have good mold resistance. I took several clones but only one made it. If I like it, I have plenty of seeds, and I am sure an indica pheno will show up also. I like the smell. Haha, it really does smell like cookies and cream!! Lol! We will see what survives the torture test this year.
My question is, is this leaf yellowing the plant being through with those leaves? Or is this a nitrogen deficiency? Because I was told that some plants continue to need more supplemental nitrogen throughout flowering.
On the other hand, they say that too much nitrogen can affect growth. So I thought I should ask you all. The lights are off now, but I can post a close-up of the bud sugar leaves, if that would be helpful.
Thanks!

I vote lack of nitrogen. During flower, plants still need nitrogen, although less than in veg. SIPs are completely reliant on fertigation, except in early veg... depends on how much nutes are in the soil to start with.

Thank you, CBD!
I will try to supplement with the AM feeding.

I like this new plan, because it is simple.
If you think about it, all I need to do is to find mold-resistant beans.
'Cuz the reality is that if I do not want to grow it myself (and I do not have time) then I have to go with the "least-effort principle" that they use here--and they put plastic in the winter, especially during veg.
I think this "inverted season" thing will be different for them, but it will be a lot of humidity in the winter for flowering!

They take the approach that you just have to see what survives. It is kind of law of the jungle like that here.
They go seeded because that is easiest and cheapest.
You plant them in March or April to veg all "winter", and then they flip around September 21st, and the fall equinox (or equisol, or however that is best said).

I asked them if they can ask around to see if anyone already has adapted CBD seed, but that will probably take time.
But no worries.

I should also report that the Coffee Shop seeds and the Cannapot (replacement order) seeds finally came in.
Cannapot sent the seeds stealth in what looks like good condition.
We can hit them in future grows.
Dieseltonic fem (sativa)
Juanita La Lagrimosa CBD (It is a hybrid that always has CBD, and it says good resistance to powdery mildew and other diseases, so we have to see--but it always has CBD, which is just so much easier).
Regular Critical Sour Diesel CBD (sativa CBD, supposed to be resistant, so we will see.)
Juanita la Lagrimosa fem (sativa, three different phenotypes. Sativa CBD, Sativa mix, and Sativa THC. This one will be a little more work to find the phenos, but it should be doable.
Maybe we can start some in March, and let them veg all winter, and then flower come next late September/October when we hit the equisol again, or whatever...
👍

Big sigh.
I do not understand Coffee Shop seeds.
He sent me two seed varieties from my original order (Diesel and Special Queen), and two from my requested replacement order, CBD Black Jack, and Llimonet Haze CBD.
It is annoying that he sent something different than what was bought, and what was later communicated.
I do not remember ordering Special Queen, because it is low CBD, but we will pass over that one, since I cannot remember what I did order (but I do not remember ordering low-CBD anything, and I already have skunk seeds).
I now officially have wayyyy too many seeds, but at least we have non-tropical CBD strains that claim CBD sativa and good mold resistance, so if we keep them stored well, we can just grow out what we have for several years, and see what looks best, and what we like best.
And they will grow it cheapest and easiest way, but I have good hopes for the Dr. Biche cross. If nothing else it should be interesting.
So far this has been kind of a boondoggle, but SOMETHING will live in a greenhouse and give CBD!!! Hahahahahaha!!
I do like the idea of Llimonet Haze Ultra CBD and CBD Black Jack. Both are sativas, so we have to see.
It is a ridiculous number of beans! 😂:laughtwo::rolleyes:
