Stunger's Organic Soil Stealth Balcony: Landrace Mulanje & Other Sativas

Minor update, mostly pictorial

Greetings 420 enthusiasts! The flowering season is underway and every day brings noticeable changes, especially to me because I love to look at them multiple times a day!

Today I did a little bit of a tidy up to the 3 LST girls which brought their height down fractionally.

The hexlined Mulanje is still stretching and as I like her so much I would prefer not to do further training on her because her potential colas look like they'll be substantial in length and I would prefer to let her go for it. But I will of course step in if she gets too belligerent with her height!

The 2 right most plants

I am unable to open the left most doors where the balcony is narrower due to the canopies taking up the space, and when trying to photograph through the glass I tend to get too many reflections, so here is a pic of just the 2 right most plants where I can still open the doors.

Thanks for swinging by folks, may your gardens be blooming and your buds be wonderful, keep well! :ganjamon:
So awesome. I'm starting to understand your reality a little better. Basically, if the plants get to a certain height, you have no choice cuz of stealth to either train them wider or remove the growth, right? So you must be very careful when you select plants to grow and how many I would think. I guess you kind of already had an idea of the growth patterns for these strains to some extent, yes? So do you ever go nuts and grow three or four strains you know nothing about at all and see what happens? Lol.

I still find them fascinating. Maybe its how they respond to what is done to them. Its a joy watching and noticing the little changes. Flowering is the best. Your balcony looks picture perfect!

I think I've said this before but I still think it's worth a couple of NZ dollars:

OMG! That's absolutely brilliant! I missed that in your past, very cool. Thanks. I don't have the issue so much but I will and I can if I choose to. WOW is that good. Nice, Shed!

EDIT: What's an NZ dollar?

Spectacular my friend @Stunger :bravo:
Thanks Bill!
I'm a big fan of all of this. That balcony gets more impressive every time. :adore:
Cheers Vet!

Thanks Jon! Yes, you've summed it up, it's not the country to flaunt it.

Well I guess this is pretty much going nuts!

Only 1 of the 4 strains I had grown before, the Mango Sherbert. The other 3 are all pure sativas and the first time I'd grown them, so it doesn't matter their pedigree or whether they feel they're above it, there cannot be any entitled princesses on the balcony, they all get trained!
They look perfect Stunger! Such big thin leaves! Beautiful brother! Bring on the flowers!
Thanks Otter, I'm looking forward to it!
Looks great Stung.
They’re going to start smelling pretty nice soon :yummy:
Cheers DD, I'm curious about what their smells will be like, both from a personal perspective as well as the wider concern of what may 'float' off in the air. Should be lovely!

Thanks stinker!

Thank you Shed, you are right in mentioning it again. And yes, I will look into some innocuous plastic flowers that may assist the stealth of the balcony, especially that Mulanje which is 'spearing' upwards a bit too exuberantly.

The balcony's looking amazing, Stunger :thumb:

I love to look at them multiple times a day!
I do too, MrsC. always has a smart ass comment- "Is it still there? Did it run away while you weren't looking?"

Gotta hand it to you mate they are absolutely banging.

Pity you guys missed your shot at a law change. I know next to nothing about NZ, but I was cheering you guys on. Really thought it might happen, and hoped it would. My thinking was the bandwagon would start. Maybe too many of your voters grew up believing in The War like they do here.

Any way the point Im trying to make is you have a beautiful balcony and would love to see what you could do without any restrictions, and how many people would benefit from your great work.

I will have to visit your part of the world, its a running joke at work that we will one day head over on a working holiday. Bloke I work for has family there.

It was so close, if our PM had declared her vote I reckon we would have won it. But a lot of money was put in by the 'No' vote to paint it in a bad light.

I would love to grow without the restrictions. But as for my 'great work', I have done some training but it is nothing special or difficult. Because I like growing in organic living soil, if anything for my grows, I'd say it's mostly down to the soil, which I amend in the off season and try to let it cook/settle for at least 3 months. I feel if the worms and biology are enjoying it then the chances are the plants will too.

That's the nice thing about our countries, that they're close enough to visit without having to spend a whole day in a plane. But everything is a mess at the moment with all the BS and fear inducing that is going on.

Humble folks think their talents are no big deal. :)

@Scientific grew his on a first floor patio with apartments above looking down on it. No one was the wiser!
You know me, Shed. I go with "hide it in plain sight" method. Tee hee.

As expected I guess. At least the conversation started. Political football I guess.

That is part of what I was trying to say, your ability to take the time to learn the skills and practices is an inspiration, too seldom do people put their hands in the dirt.

Its deeper than that though at least in my view. You have the courage to do it despite the will of the land to stop you. Its activism in essence, and thats a rare thing, to lead where others dont try. Every small act helps whether passively or actively as it sets an example. Sharing here is a part of that, which is something you've done willingly for other students.

And there must be some benefit in you growing it, at the very least your experiences with it is part of a legacy of keeping the knowledge and reproduction going. Look it all might sound a bit Hippie but you are doing great work by making the world a better place. Beats making it worse, even if it does make us outlaws.

Hey Bud!
Your feeding regime is spot on!!!
And Shed your flowers are far more brilliant than plastic tomatoes I have seen.

Great post, @DV8.
