Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

That GC is a beauty! (not too bad for a cheap-o light...;))
This one has a massive (healthy) stalk and branches,
My SSH probably would too- if it actually had a stalk... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Looks like I need to take her out for a little "undercarriage" trimming...

Mine isn’t quite that short, pretty crazy trunk on that one!
This one only got topped but never got any taller, tons of bud sites popping up now.

It’s kind of a crap shoot with those freebies sometimes... Sister (green crack 1) is normal height after being a stunted seedling. This one started out quick but then turned into a shrub/tree. Should make for some cool chunky buds.

My lowryder was like that- a stout little thing- only 11" tall, but practically all bud.

GC #2 moving right along, very stinky. Still looking for that stretch...not sure it’s coming lol Seems to be a strange seed in that way- still no height, just more chunking up down below. Should make for an interesting yield and some very solid nugs here in a few weeks. She looks trained but she’s au natural and looking good.

She’s finally getting a bit of height, but gonna be chunky like a head of broccoli for a while. Autos are a bit unpredictable though, this one may be a foot taller next week. Very pungent aroma on this one. I’ve never grown Green Crack and I rarely grow sativa so I don’t even know what to expect. For now she’s healthy and seems to be doing her thing.

Looks like she is beginning a bit of a stretch finally. At least I don’t have to worry about it being able to hold up weight, it’s definitely built itself a nice foundation.

Late to the party but helluva grow... your wedding cake was phenomenal... I only hope mine (different breeder) will look that good! I'm in for the ride. :bongrip:

She’s starting to be a little more “normal” looking plant, after doing quite a bit of defoliation in the last week to shed some light on those inner bud sites. Whatever she went through seems to be working. Getting about 5g/G MC and a pinch of SC. She’s starting to drink more and more water every day....gonna go big, I can tell

Huge honking fan leaves down low. You know what they say about guys with big fan leaves? Neither do I, but I bet it's funny.
I was hoping there was a Canadian grower joke in there, but that may have been it :p
Ya those things are huge. I keep cutting them off, and a new one the same size takes its place 2 days later. Kinda weird smelly little plant but I’ll take it.

I am lucky enough to live in a place with a decent outdoor growing season, and enough room inside to grow all year. In Washington, having a medical card will allow you to grow several plants, depending on what the Doctor says you need. Mine says 14, which is the max for our county. I find that number to be fair, and it gives me enough breathing room to do a number of things both inside and outside. I have 11 total right now.
So instead of several smaller journals, I’m going to shift to perpetual growing. I’ve been at it for about a year indoors at this location, and have grown the past 6 years outdoors here. The outdoor grows sometimes have had limited success due to weather changing too soon, and strains taking too long to finish. That’s what finally brought me into the world of autoflowers, which are going to help fill my jars and journals year round from now on.

My indoor setup- The grow area consists of 3 tents. Two of them are 2x2x4 and one is 2x3x5, all situated on top of filing cabinets in the garage. Avg temp in the garage is about 77F, with a dehumidifier keeping it around 45-50%.
My lights are the extremely “budget friendly” $89 Oneo 1000w Equiv (Actual 220w) in each tent, and in the 2x3x5 I have a second 1000w light by Bloomspect (180w actual) that I use during flowering.
I have shifted to using only tap water. I add 7 drops/G of citric acid ph down and it brings the pH to around 6.5-6.7, seems to do well all the way through.
For all of these plants I am using G&B organics Blue Ribbon Blend potting soil, which has been fantastic (and easy to get) for me- and I am recently starting to use ProMix for my seedlings.
My nutrient line up is fairly simple- MEGACROP, Sweet Candy, Terpinator, Silica Blast (all used fairly close to mfg recommendations unless the plant says NO or begs for more) and mosquito bits for gnats.

Outdoors is basically the same but the season ends like clockwork around Sep 15, after which the sun rarely shows itself.
The purpose of all this being simple- The world is going to shit, and I want to fill all these filing cabinets with stuff I can smoke, eat, or smash for a LONG time if things go bad. I’ve only got 3 drawers filled right now, I always need more!

I want to thank everyone on this board for introducing me to better methods, and better seeds and suppliers.
I'm finally able to get some of the strains I've only dreamed of growing myself, and here is my next indoor lineup-
IMG_6439a.jpg

All went well with sprouts and they are doing beautifully. I may not be typical in that I float my seeds for 1 day in Water and H2o2 (80% water, 20% h2o2 3% strength) and then put them straight into the soil, skipping the paper towel method.
IMG_6441.jpg

And it seems to work out fine most times.
IMG_6569.jpg

I love good genetics and eager sprouts! Now I finally get to experience Wedding Cheesecake, GelatOG, Dr Seedsman, and Purple Lemonade. Time to taste some candy.

And the first little hiccup happened when I dropped the purple lemonade pot, broke the plant in half, had to re-pot....then it starts flowering at about 16 days old. Autoflowers are interesting creatures.

I'll be showing all the outdoor ladies in the next post, as well as updates for these.

I hope you will all follow along, enjoy yourselves, and not take anything too seriously. Happy growing and please don't hesitate to say hello! :nomo:
Hey good stuff dude hopefully i can start getting some pics up soon asi sprout muh bean .

Well she’s a nice healthy green and she’s bushing out nicely. It looks like a bit of pinkish in the pistils and I like the development on the flowers. Slower than its Indica sisters, and this one is about to drop some real weight into these branches.

I have a little rant to get out of the way-

Dear seasoned growers giving advice, Terpinator and Purpinator are NOT the same thing. Please stop telling people they are.
Is one based on the formulation of the other one? Yes.
Are they the same? No.

Here are their labels:

Terpinator, which contains Potash derived from potassium sulfate-

terpinator label.jpg

and Purpinator- which contains Phosphoric acid, Potash, Magnesium & Sulfur derived from Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Sulfate and Magnesium sulfate.
Purpinator-label.jpg

So I guess they are similar -
The same way Miracle Grow is similar to MegaCrop, and Cheerios are similar to Fruit Loops.

The next person I see tell a newby (or anyone else) that these 2 products are the same thing, I'm bringing you here!
Rant over :lot-o-toke:

Great products in your garden, but 2 different products, and deserve to be treated as such.

Enjoy your weekend!

Check out the Saugaview® on this Green Crack. Loving the shape and shade of her, and the way those flowers are spreading out.

Like I’ve said, I don’t grow many sativas and then the one I do grow stays short. Hoping for good things out of this strange growing freebie.
