Stinky Snid's Nursery & Flower Shop - Welcome To My Perpetual Adventure

I just harvested a clone of a clone, Skunk #1. I bought it as clone so who knows haw many generations of cones there were before.

Tonight I harvest Black Cherry Soda, another clone of a clone, plus I have a couple clones off the current girl with no sign of losing vigor.

I've read that a lot of breeders don't keep clone mothers. They just clone each batch from the previous batch indefinitely.

now I'm not 100% on this but I was told that each generation of clone looses potency and becomes a weaker plant in general I. E. more problems with deficiencys etc. but again I don't know how true that is. And snid my lk says to give it to them every water so they never get just water until the flush do you not go along with that

Question - How do you keep a "Mother" in veg for so long to take multiple clones over time? So curious now that we're analyzing...;)

At the time I had a `10ftx12ft grow room that was divided into veg room,18 hrs on, and a flowering room on 12/12 in hydro tubs. I kept the mother in the veg room, in a pot, and she was getting clipped on a regular basis, hence the short, round bush with LOTS of soon to be clones. It was the prettiest little 3.5ft bush.:circle-of-love:

October 26th, Daily Update
Hunting season is upon us and I'm going to be out there as much as I can. But priority goes to the flowering ladies, as usual. It's almost time to think about staring some more photos to be ready for the flower tent once these are finished.

Temps have dropped I've had to reroute some warm furnace air into the grow area. This has made Humidity drop aswell. Let the games begin, I'll be regulating my Humidity for the winter months. It's not so bad now since most of my ladies are flowering. Let's see how they're doing today...

Notes ~
We seem to have a problem with the seedlings. It looks like phosphorus deficiency, but they've gotten enough of it for their age. Upon investigation after watering I found that there was lots of dry pockets in the medium. I've turned up most of the soil to allow better water penetration and absorption. There's even bat guano in the soil mixture :( idk... I checked Ph and it's in range, only thing I can't think of is the dry pockets. The dying leaves are dried up too, maybe the roots haven't found water yet. Anyway, new growth seems fine for now... Let the training begin :)
Hailey is going to get a light upgrade as soon as Bailey is done. Early next week for that gal... She'll go dark this weekend. I just gave her a half watering to give her a couple more days to ripen. Hailey however is the lankiest plant I've seen. If these buds do get bulky this plant will be great. But as it seems now they're going to be very scraggly.

Notes ~
Felicity's deficiency looks to be getting better, Green is filling back in between the lines. I've kept up the foliar spraying to get her remedied before the buds form. Maude is making a good push to be number one. This tent smells so good already :) Marylou who is currently the biggest is the best plant I've got. Healthy and big and Stinky. The corkscrew is progressing father now, I'm very happy with this turn out...:Namaste:

Happy Humpday, another update for the masses. See you next time...

GREAT 420 SMOKATHON HALLOWEEN EDITION

Question - How do you keep a "Mother" in veg for so long to take multiple clones over time? So curious now that we're analyzing...;)

Basically your cutting a clone every time you get 4or5 nodes. That in turn create double the shoots(like topping) for you to let grow our again to 4or5 nodes and repeat. You'll have a super dense bushy plant.

How do you prevent it from flowering, kind sir? ;)

Your corkscrew is a freak of nature and I love her already.:MoreNutes:

Your garden is an encyclopedia of hope. That word sounds like a bug. lol

Thanks for answering my questions, I totally get the cutting of the clones now to keep the mother trimmed down, you just don't leave it long enough to produce flowers, hence cutting her down routinely?

Smoking just makes me ask more questions, fascinating the freedom gardening affords you.

:Namaste:

Question for you my friend...can you tell me the name you called your "Quarter Pounder" strain? I think I remember you doing one but I can't recall her name. Thank you so much! ;)

Are you asking me :)? I've not grown a quarter pounder strain thus far. I'd like to try quarter pounder w/cheese. That would be a good splice. I wonder if it's been created... I like cheeeeese... ;)

KiG my dear:green_heart:cheers

Meh, QPwCheese is too greasy. I'll take a whopper with cheese..and bacon, any day :)

October 28th, Daily Update
It's harvest time for my child peppers. I started these two back in December indoors. They got topped and trained mildly to achieve four mains each.
20161025_134848.jpg
They are very beautiful blooms, colours are so vivid and ranging in hues. It's going to make alot of salsa :) along with the baskets full of tomatoes in the freezer.

As for the indoor garden... We've got a whole different kind of bloom. Things are warming up in the flower tent and the autos are beginning training. Things are as they should be in the house of Snid. Bailey is to be harvested this weekend, so here's her final update.

Even the very top Colas are like 6 of these bunched together. I can peel them back and it's like individual Colas with virtually no calyxes On them.

Has anyone seen anything like Hailey? What a freak! Bailey's final pictures are as good as I could manage. No flash and lots of light to show the details. Hope you enjoyed her grow. The seedlings are still progressing with their secondary growth. All them have some sort of issue. It's very strange since they all got the same soiless mix and nutrients. But each are having difficulties in early life. Training has begun for a couple of them, and the others will start soon. No pistils showing yet. :thumb:

Notes ~
Felicity's deficiency seems to be regressing, I hope the mechanics are working to fix the issue. The buds look weird and whitish, am I missing something? What could this be... Iron? Marylou is much more vibrant. A example to the rest of the girls. She is done with stretch and limbs have been freed, no more stakes to clutter her under canopy. Maude may be even more exemplary then my last Bubblegum plant that was lost in her final stages. Mandy was her name... The corkscrew project continues, all engines go for the next lap around the pot. I'm hoping things accelerate a little I'm growing impatient...but I can wait:)

Enjoy the weekend everyone, see you for a Sunday harvest update...

Not sure whats up with Hailey ??? The rest of the brood looks stellar as usual....Hailey might be the Cannabis Gods' way of bringing you back to earth :) 'Thou shalt not grow better weed than me!!!!!' I think you've been smited...is that a word? smote?

To hell with them, keep churning out those amazing plants!

Awesome snid I especially enjoy your autos. Imho Hailey has a genetic disorder and if it were me I'd let her grow as big as possible and use her for oils or dabs or hash etc. obviously there's an issue that's outta your control and not in a place where you can cut out the bad because it seems to be the whole plant. Yep that's what I would do make her an extract plant. Good show brother good show
