Still Growing - SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Systems

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Hello Conradino, everything looking good and effortless in your garden as usual.

You were advising the guy with the Colombian sativa to reveg; I did not want to jack his thread - would you give me a rundown of successful revegging when you get a minute. I would like to reveg my Portela after harvest if practicable.

Thanks

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Technically it's quite simple, but I never did it myself, so this rundown is based on other growers' experience.

1. Harvest 80-90% of the plant leaving popcorn buds and some foliage.

2. Switch photoperiod to 18/6 or 24/0.

3. Add some nitrogen to stimulate vegetative growth.

Maybe some other growers here could speak from experience about reveg. Grey? Cannabi? Allsmiles? Anyone else?

Pretty much covered it there Conrad.. The new shoots will emerge out of the buds, no need to leave a lot on.

After:

1. Switch lights back to 18/6 or 24/0.

2. Use vegetative lights.

3. Give a high dose of N food.

4. Get ready to do quite a bit of maintenance.

5. Sit back and relax, it will take somewhere from 2-4 weeks. Some plants may not reveg, so I've heard.

Excellent breakdown, daTenshi!
Thx :passitleft:

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

I've only done it once. I trimmed just like you mentioned above - leaving quite a bit of the lower larf buds. It took about 3 weeks to show new growth and about 6 wells before it went back into flower. Second harvest was smaller than the original. I would advise to take clones and flower those out. The key is a nice dry pot you can water with veg nutes. If you have a wet pot, it will take forever to dry out before you can add the veg nutes. That's my experience of 1x so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks da Tenshi that was helpful :thumb: my mini light setup for seedlings won't cut it, so no reveg for me.

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Bapple, there's anotger way, simpler. While you veg your plant, just clone it and then keep under 24/0 as a mother. You can use clones to flower whenever you want, or you can grow one of the clones as a mother and flower the original one. You just need to have a light setup for that as cannabis doesn't need red spectrum to grow foliage. Sun is actually the best for flowering although it definitely hardens the plant and make it sweat out trichomes if strong :)

Hi Bapple. Also 1 nice CFL (45-55 true watts) works wonders for a single plant in veg.

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

I've never revegged a plant so have no useful input there. I've tried cloning a flowering plant but with not much success. Nowadays I take a couple clones before switching to flower cycle. That way when the plant gets harvested the clone has had more then enough time to root and grow and is ready to flower right after.

I agree with drcannabi. CFLs work great for single plant. I actually have 2 x 75 watt (18 actual watts each) 5700k cfls for one clone and she is thriving. This is the first I've vegged with CFLs.

She's going to way out produce her mother. Good luck Bapple!

My first indoor grow was done with just two lame CFLs, used both for vegging and flowering. Bud was excellent, but I had top genetics to grow :)

Thanks allsmiles, plenty for me to think about......

Good morning Conradino, one can't beat top genetics :grinjoint:

Good morning to you, Bapple :)
Hope you're gonna settle on what's the best for you :passitleft:

Glad to be back here... this time as a married man. Yep, that's why I didn't post anything for a while, but now when family and friends are gone, I can give you a nice update :)

So first Grape Ape. Unfortunately she suffered a very brutal transplant to an air-pot as I had to literally cut her out from the ceramic pot she was in and I left a nice chunk of root behind. But she's fine now after quick watering with stinging nettle and inoculant. First set of leaves yellowed out, so I removed it and as you can see she's sucking the nitrogen from the second one. She's been forced to flower since Sunday.

My Grape Dog suffered a minor trauma yesterday when I tried to LST it more and the main stem snapped in the middle. Well, plant seemed to pull through. Brix: 17.

Other Grape Dogs after a week outside... no sign of insect damage anywhere! They survived their first rainstorm this weekend.

Ultra O.G. (O.G. Kush x MK Ultra) also outplanted last week.

And O.G. Kush (there is another one, but very shitty pheno, I'm gonna pull it probably).

And fresh batch of lactobacillus acidophilus for the plants.

Have a green one :tokin: :Namaste:

Auguri!!

Welcome to the married club. I wish you and your wife many happy and peace filled years of matrimony.

I use lactobacillus capsules as a daily supplement, can I just open a capsule and mix it with water or will that not work?

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Married! Fantastic! :bravo:

Congratulations to both of you!

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Just got caught up. And then that punchline.

:bravo:

Many, many congratulations. :goodjob:

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Grazie mille :)

Well yeah it's been almost 7 years together, we met in London actually, so we decided to put a stamp on it :) Wedding was small, only closest family and friends, and it was great. Certainly I've been getting high as a monkey for a couple of days :tokin: We're thinking about going for our honeymoon to California, but in couple of months. That would be good way to celebrate it I think :)

Anyway, for lactobacillus acidophilus I'd suggest doing it on your own, Bapple. You have to prepare a rice wash, then keep it for 3 days in a warm place, and then add milk.
